The Packers are being the Packers. Guys have to genuinely want to come here on top of being overpaid. This is the most boring market to play in, in football soooo....it’d be different if they were winning SBs and not coming off back to back losing seasons.

I fear the Smith contract might be higher than I'd like, due to his youth and really just one really solid year last year...but still an upgrade, will be cheaper than Perry or atleast structured better and makes Perry's future IMO more certain: HE GONE.

Are we going to make any moves ? Does anyone think this team we be improved enough with just a few coaching changes ? Big names are flying off the market and everyone just says “not for that price” “not worth it” .. 6-6 everyone will be screaming why didn’t we bring in some players.
Gonna show yourself today?????

FWIW Smith had more pressures last season than Perry had during his contract year in 2016.

Oh don't get me wrong, is he an upgrade? YES. Will his contract structure fit us better than Perry's currently? YES. Good signing? FOR SURE.

Huge fan of the moves. Obviously haven’t seen the contract yet, going to imagine they are pretty pricey. Gained to immediate starters at two positions in immediate need though. I’m happy about that.

Our front office wasted Rodgers career to supply enough talent to make it through the playoffs period... they low ball players and no one wants to sign with us either

Fortunately the guys who wasted Rodgers career have retired or moved on elsewhere. I don't know if the guys Gute is signing will make a difference but you can't say he is sitting on his hands.

I don't really see that player as being available unless you want to give up a bunch of draft picks to get him(which you are obviously willing to do) We aren't going to get him through FA because he isn't out there.

I think we should see what the Rams want for Aaron Donald. I'd trade the #12 pick for him wouldn't you?

You'd need to offer a hell of lot more than the #12 pick to pry him out of LA. lol

But don’t act like it was set in stone with how the last 9 years have been lol

Do you realize that there's a new front office in place since last season??? Moving forward it might be smart not to panic if the Packers end up not overpaying for veterans within the first few hours of free agency.

Wait...I'm confused. So were you taking a shot at me or no? You said you were honestly curious but then at the same time you said I can consider it a shot. So which one is it?

The two are not mutually exclusive. As for the rest ... let’s just say I have not personally felt that your reasons outweigh the risk ... hence the “shot” as you call it.
