Imo that’s part of this team’s problem. Too soft in many ways. Buddy or not, I’d score every damn point possible. Not like Shanahan ever pulled back.

Good God man, this isn't Detroit. Hate to say it but that team needs unfortunate things to happen to them. The sportsmanship poohbahs are disgruntled.

Oh, I agree with both of you. I think he owed that 40-burger to the fans, and to the team. I can guess why he did it, but the team's rivalry with the Niners goes back long before he got here, and there's more payback owed than just simply whomping them. We should have kicked them while they were down.

Key to the game is stopping Christian McCaffrey and the running game... that's it, if they can accomplish that, it forces Allen into passing situations, which will mean at least 2 turnovers. Go Pack Go!!
In the first half the 9ers TOP was mimimal.

1 second short of exactly 20-10 - it was 20:01-9:59. We still dominated the 2nd half, but by a tiny margin - 16:42-13:16.

If Brock Purdey had been healthy today, it would have been a very different story. I'm not saying we wouldn't have still won, but we would probably have had to work harder for it. It's unlikely he'd have allowed us to completely dominate TOP for the entire first half of the game, and we might not have had that 10-point lead going into halftime.

We’ve got our Kicker. That 51 yarder was good from 56-58 area.
It had the length for 56-58, but it was barely inside the right upright. Cleared it by no more than a yard, so I don't know.

But at the same time, it diod look as though it may have been hooking to the left when it went through, so I guess it's just as possible that if he'd kicked it from 5-7 yards farther out, it may have cleared with a little more room to spare.

But that said - I agree. We have a reliable kicking game for the first time in 2 seasons. 7 for 8, 87.5%. We are very fortunate to have grabbed him up when we did.

I had no problem with Matt taking out starters. We had this one. Why take a chance on a freak injury unnecessarily? We have a quick turn around with Miami in a couple of days too.

Massively quick turnaround. I was shocked we didn't see more of it quicker truthfully.

When you are back out there in 4 days you definitely need to get guys out. The Fins had a 31-0 lead in their game and had to be thinking the same.

Besides, none of this does anything to erase those playoff losses. Feels good though.

Losers and weak minded coaches allow past to dictate logical decisions now. Nothing you do now changes the losses in the past.

I didn't look at the 9er game as some sort of retribution for past playoff loses. For me it was a big game because they are a NFC opponent in the regular season. This win along with the WFT loss to the Cowgirls puts us in good position for this year's postseason.

Agree, a win against Seattle in a few weeks will fit perfect in place of the 9ers in your post. Just need to beat other NFC teams that are trying to make the NFC playoffs. Past playoff losses mean nothing when it comes to this 2025 season.

And I just don't see us winning the division unless Detroit gets hit with injuries to a couple starters. Our goal should be is to pass MN. I have a feeling 3 teams from the NFCN will make the playoffs come January.

I doubt we catch Detroit. Got to get the number five or six seed to avoid playing either the eagles or lions in the first round
