I stated facts. You stated thoughts that are in your head. Or did Mahomes call you and tell you that he does NOT want to play small ball?
It's obvious watching them play. I've watched more than half their games. He's pushing the ball down the field against deep coverages.

Studs:
Defense all around. Amazing game. Especially Barnes. Held them to 13 points.
Adams and Lazard. Did their best to make things happen.

Duds:
Love-awful. Horrible 3rd down pick with a 4th down to work with. Not going to the sidelines after a time out. Kid is clueless and said he was the most confident he's ever been. Never liked him.
Crosby: Horrible miss and then kicking a 37 like it's a 60...wtf. I don't care laces in. He's suppose to be soooo goooodddd. What's worse was his attitude. Publicly shaming his holder.
Holder and LS were to blame too.
All of Special teams. If not for ST Green Bay still might have pulled this off. Taylor...wtf. clueless
MLF-horrible attitude and leadership. Should have pulled Love at half. Love was clueless.

Rodgers...put us in this situation.

Guys, come on....

Love was awful. The comments about he was "decent". Or he was "ok". I'm sorry, no he wasn't. He still has the tools to be a really good quarterback, but he quite simply was bad tonight.
This... I'm genuinely shocked. He was given 1v1 coverage almost all game and couldn't make them pay. He was atrocious on 3rd down.

Spagnola was disrespecting the hell out of him leaving Adams basically 1v1 and he still couldn't get it to him on anything deep. He should have had 3 INTs that game

This whole comparison of Love's production to Mahomes' is lazy and so misleading. Mahomes is a MVP quarterback that's won a Super Bowl and he's struggling right now as teams have come up with a slight blueprint to slow his teams down. He just does NOT want to play small ball and move the ball down the field and neither does his coach. They are going to struggle for a while if they are that stubborn.

I know you’re a staunch Rodgers supporter beyond normal. So let me offer this as some comfort.
In Rodgers 1st-2 seasons here’s where we stood after his first 30+ attempts.

RODGERS
15/31 48.3% 111 passing 0 TD 1 INT

LOVE
19/34 55.9% 190 passing 1TD 1 INT

Can you imagine how egregious an error it would have been to give up on him?

Pretty hard to judge either on that sample size considering they had zero quality 1st team reps.

Rodgers showed flashes of being an impact player in his first real game time against the Cowboys. That's the real difference

So? Does your observation somehow elevate his stats during today’s game? He wasn’t good today. Both QBs had poor showings. The DC and the defense units played well on both sides.

Here we are giving STUDS to our D and our DC for shutting down a struggling KC offense.

But then we kick our new starting QB to the curb because he couldn’t overcome KC’s excellent defense scheme and performance. I imagine that KC homers are doing the reverse - giving Mahomes a dud and the D a stud…

Whatever. Your preeminence on being the expert poster here on this board is recognized. I’ll go back to being “lazy”.

Exactly.

There's not much that Love showed tonight that give me a lot of confidence. If you'll notice, oldschool, I didn't mention anything about his numbers. He just doesn't pass the eye test for me right now.

Studs: Krys Barnes - played with fire and consistency

Campbell - as usual, played great on most reads and really does a nice job in his gaps

Gary - really brought great pressure and continues to improve

AJ Dillon - ran with purpose and power

Aaron Jones - shifty and made great cut back runs when it was needed to make the offense move

Duds: LaFLeur - when your qb is constantly being blitzed you slow them down by calling screen plays/misdirections

Special Teams - how do these coaches have employment - Fumbled 2 punts, 2 FG missed, a Kicker complaining about laces out, complete clown car units.

Royce Newman/ Lucas Patrick - really played poorly at times in pass protection, allowing free lanes to the qb multiple times

Jordan Love - never seemed to completely get in rhythm. Snap counts and sync seemed off. Happy feet and didn't show any fire at all until the 4th quarter. 4 days to prepare, but I didnt see any studying going on in game. To be fair, when he had time he made some nice plays.

All in all, the major dud belongs to AR12 for obvious reasons. The bright spot was the defense and how hard they played and fought. I do not understand these continuous special teams gaffes. On to better and brighter days.

This was pretty much the game I expected out of Love, nervous, a bit indecisive and a big drop off from what Packers are used to. I also think that KC's DC Spagnuolo had a great gameplan for Love. I do think Love showed some good things and if special teams had just played "average", we could have won that game.

I think most of us questioned the hiring/promoting of Drayton to be the special teams coach. For once, I think the majority of the Packer forum was much smarter than whomever (MLF I assume) made that decision. I wouldn't wait til tomorrow, he's fired as soon as they land in GB.

The Chiefs defense is a dumpster fire.

I'll give you a ton of credit. You said before the game you expected next to nothing from Love. Unfortunately, even I expected more.

For me personally, it just didn't pass the eye test. There's no doubt he has incredible physical gifts, but the lack of emotion, energy, etc., along with some really bad decision making and spraying the ball all over the field really has me concerned.

I do think he can get it together. And that's not an easy stadium to play in. But I'm not encouraged.

Lucky guess on my part ;)

In all honesty, he played better than I expected and I do think with time and more game experience, he might be able to develop. Except for the extra year of having his nose in the playbook, I still consider him a rookie.

Our defense played with fire and heart today, really sucks they don't get a W for that, but as a Badger fan, I'm used to that scenario.

Love was bad.

But it’s also hard to get a great feel for him when the protection was so poor.

That’s not an excuse. He was independently bad. But I would have liked to get a better feel of what he can do with at least an average amount of time.

Rodgers really does make it so easy on everyone. The WRs and the Oline.. there's a reason the oline looked pretty bad today, because 12 wasn't back there dictating the protection. Audibling out of bad plays and helping the young guys with protection schemes. He's seen everything and it showed that Love isn't in the same ballpark in helping the Oline

This is true, and yet their style is uniquely bad for a guy making his first start. Spagnuolo is like a junk ball pitcher. He isn’t good but he will throw basically everything at you. There were clearly times where Love just couldn’t process what he was seeing fast enough.

I don’t know why people are raging on Crosby.

The first miss, I could see the laces where they were at the placement. I dropped a f-bomb ( thankfully kiddo was out of ear shot ) and I knew it was going to be a miss before his foot hit the ball.
