He has been an average at best slot CB. I won't ever use good, above average or solid to describe Nixon in the slot.
Then you've just exposed your own prejudicial bias against him. No matter how well he plays in any given game, even if he theoretically earned MLF's game ball, you've already decided he won't be "solid" in that game?

Incorrect. My statement was in response to a claim he has been a good slot corner. Not he was good in a game, series or play….of course any player can be good in any given play, series or game.

Collectively as a player to this point he has been nothing over average as a slot corner.

I think it's only illegal if you don't pay for the apps

I don't pay for them
It's not illegal any way. It falls under the FCC free-to-air rules. Any broadcast media that you can view through equipment that you own is legal to view. This was extended to online streams in 2014. The legal burden lies with the streamers, not the viewers.

Did you not say you will never refer to him as anything other than average no matter what, even if for a day?

I heard that from someone in Canada. He has same thing and that's what he said

As I'm not an attorney that's why I said I think lol

But research last year I seem to recall the app thing

I've been watching streams from the same website for 4 years now. Occasionally they get shut down but now most of them are routed through offshore servers. Packers, Blues and Illini games and I rarely miss one. There is a gray area though in that if you share links to such streams publicly, you risk liability as a distributor if some overzealous federal agent can't find anything better to do. This gray area has never been pursued in court though, at least as of an article on Wired that I read last winter.

I’m not sure what to make of Bullard in Week 3. He literally had no stats good or bad. I thought he got injured but he actually played around 90% of the D Snaps. Maybe no logged contributions is good idk?

I did not. That statement you quoted was speaking overall, unless a shift happens - which would be great to see, overall I’ll never state that. He could easily have a good game or series or play.

I didn't see the entire game but at least twice I saw Reed get hit late without the ball - the first one was very obvious and I was disappointed it wasn't flagged.

100% Agree. That Referee should be fined or suspended for allowing that. It was bordering on egregious level conduct. This makes Quay Walker look like a Saint.

Referees at Tennessee get a Big time DUD. If THAT is allowed, then imo ANYTHING is allowed. That was bordering on drawing a Fine for gross misconduct. Forget the flag.. it’s a personal assault with intentional harm after the play is over. I think Referees should be docked game pay for missing an egregious level play.

If that happens again on a 3rd down I’d coach my Player to lay on the ground and count to 10. I think the fact Reed popped up so quickly is why they let it slide. Next time this will be a serious injury. Had he laid there motionless and counted to 10? I’m about 95% sure that gets called
“1st n goal”. Might even draw a fine

No place for unsportsmanlike intentional injury and that was the most flagrant foul of the afternoon imo. To add insult that Defender followed Reed mouthing off afterwards. Totally not acceptable.

I've noticed that there seems to be more trash talking after a play this season, with no flags thrown. Did the NFL change/soften-up on that rule? Seems like in the past, flags flew pretty fast anytime there was a hint of taunting.

Im not sure and I’m not a conspiracy theorist but that game looked very contrived as far as Refereeing goes. You can’t convince me no one saw that. The Network even replayed it several times it was so dirty.

It seems like every season, especially at the beginning, the Refs are calling a real tight game and sometimes, they seem to be focusing on things that they let go the previous season. Guessing the offseason for refs consists of the people in charge looking at complaints and game film. Deciding what they need to improve on, maybe suggesting some rule changes to the Owners. This year it was the O-Lines and if they were lined up correctly that was under a lot of scrutiny.

Bottom line, coaches/teams need to scout the crew of officials that will be working their next game. Let the players know what that crew generally looks for and will flag.

I will say one thing I absolutely love, is the ability for the "guys upstairs" to call down to the refs and get a call right, before it has to be challenged. A system some of us have been talking about and wanting for years.

Beginning, middle and end they are consistent about one thing = Kansas City gets benefit of the doubt LOL

I was at the game last year against the Chiefs at Lambeau and the Chiefs were belly aching that there wasn't an interference call on a long pass to MVS towards the end of the game. What they didn't want to talk about were some bad calls, that went against the Packers prior to that play.

Was one of the better Packers games to watch last year. Always nice to beat Mahomes and the Chiefs.

I think sometimes when there's an issue comes up the league tries to straddle the fence with the rule changes and the rest kind of get caught in the middle and hung out to dry.
I love hockey, but I don't want to see you get to the point in the NFL where you don't know how our game's going to be officiated from one period to the next. You watch some hockey games and the differences our blatant.

Oh I agree on being consistent. Whether it is the first or the last play of the game, call it consistently.

That said, I prefer a game that is called more loosely, but correctly. That isn't to say that blatant pass interference or offsides isn't called. But the nitpicky, constant delays for flags, slows the game down and really, puts a 3rd team on the field, the Refs.

I will comment on this, while we are on the subject. I used to argue with a certain poster, who seemed to have left with Captain, about instant replay. He thought it ruined the game. For years I said they needed another ref up in the booth, with access to video replay, to make smart, quick changes to bad calls. They are finally doing it and I LOVE it! Have seen it done a number of times this year and it has been very seamless. Saves from coaches having to toss red flags or the days after the game of arguing how bad the call was and how it cost a team the game. Kudos to the NFL for getting this right!

Now all they need to do is use the GPS chips that are already in footballs, to get the spotting of the ball after the end of a play correct.

Couldn't give you a like because I'm not sure about the GPS thing. Maybe try it out in colleges for a couple years first. ;)
