The Lions' OL is lightyears better than MN's.We could not run the ball and the defense did not play aggressive in the backfield like they did against the vikings. I don't know why that. I assume Barry.

Right hereAlmost forgot about that.
Where's the LaFleur outrage?
Rodgers hasn't been the same QB since October 15, 2017.There are rodgers apologiest
No matter what, he isnt to blame. And there are a handful ll here that are his "boys"
ShhhhhRodgers hasn't been the same QB since October 15, 2017.
When we extended him we didn't know he would decline like this so soon. If he was looking for an extension from us today I seriously doubt we would give him that contract. That would have to include the Packers at this point.
Again, this reminded me of the Seattle NFC Championship Game in 2014. Settling for field goals, and the entire team contributed to the loss. Even Crosby got in on it this time.IMO this was a team collapse. When we needed the D to stop them in the 4th they couldn't. Nixon never got going. Our OL had problems keeping the Lions out of the backfield, Jones fumbled to kill a potential scoring drive. our WRs had a the dropsies (except Watson) and AR had some poor passes. There is plenty of blame to go around here.
Speaking of which, I just want to say I don't think this team gets to 8-9 with Love at quarterback.Oh screw that. There's no place in this thread for talking about anyone other than Rodgers.
Even on that last 4th down we did not play tight. That was ridiculous. The Lions' OL is lightyears better than MN's.
Honestly, this is exactly what he looked like in MM's last season in GB.When we extended him we didn't know he would decline like this so soon. If he was looking for an extension from us today I seriously doubt we would give him that contract.
Then what can explain his last 2 seasons before this one? I can understand why we extended him last offseason. He was coming off back to back MVPs.Honestly, this is exactly what he looked like in MM's last season in GB.
I think it does. Am I right? Are you right? Impossible to know.Speaking of which, I just want to say I don't think this team gets to 8-9 with Love at quarterback.
Often, when quarterbacks hit the wall, they hit it hard and on short notice. Then what can explain his last 2 seasons before this one? I can understand why we extended him last offseason. He was coming off back to back MVPs.
Aaron Jones has had a crucial mistake in each of our last 3 eliminating losses. Time to move on from him as well as Rodgers. Hopefully Bak retires and ride Love next year with what's left. That's a cop-out and not true. Jaire gave up one reception. He's a stud. Jones was a stud. Watson was a stud.
Rodgers? MAJOR DUD. He was underthrowing guys all day. Would have had a TD to Jones if he'd thrown it 2 yards deeper. I'm tired of him. Then after his INT what irony that they play a commercial where he admits he hates to practice. Maybe it's time to go.
Nah.Aaron Jones has had a crucial mistake in each of our last 3 eliminating losses. Time to move on from him as well as Rodgers. Hopefully Bak retires and ride Love next year with what's left.
Crazy thing is I thought Rodgers was great in big games until the end of 2016 and post Barr injury. 2019 San Fran he was a big reason why we fell behind so quick. I don't blame him for 2020 loss to Tampa. 2021 I don't blame him as much as most considering he kept the lead and had no turnovers until the punt debacle happened, but still didn't lift the team as much as he should have. Today surpassed 2019 San Fran as his worst elimination game because at least he played good in the 2nd half in 2019, even if people believe the game was out of hand already.Dud: #12
Rodgers let’s us down every season. He’s just not good in big games. He threw 2 INT again (idc if it was a penalty it was a terrible throw)
That’s 5 INT in just 2 games vs the 9-8 Lions. I don’t know how much more proof we need than 4 consecutive seasons of our Offense pooping the bed.
Let’s go for 5 seasons!
Jared Goff > Aaron Rodgers in
2022-23
Just not good enough. MLF has found a way to lose 3 critical games the last 3 years at HOME in January. The team was playing tight. Looked a lot more relaxed in Miami. The fumble was the backbreaker. Got to protect the ball more in January. We gave them back the 3 they gave us. We could not convert a 4th and 1. And with 1st and 10 on the 35 we just needed at least a yard or 2 so Crosby could hit the 53.Everyone is a dud
Even in his last 2 MVP seasons, deep ball has been mostly hit or miss. Especially in 2021 as he missed MVS a lot. The Barr injury may have ended his time of throwing those 50 yard bombs on the money (usually to Jordy over the middle on a play action).Rodgers in person sucked tonight he lobbed passes and had jones open 3 times and the play calling in the first half was pathetic
I like deep balls but prefer short first down passes betterEven in his last 2 MVP seasons, deep ball has been mostly hit or miss. Especially in 2021 as he missed MVS a lot. The Barr injury may have ended his time of throwing those 50 yard bombs on the money (usually to Jordy over the middle on a play action).
Did we get a sack tonight? I didn’t see one or I missed itEven on that last 4th down we did not play tight. That was ridiculous.
It also ended his days of routinely hitting those tiny windows in the red zone that nobody else would've even attempted.Even in his last 2 MVP seasons, deep ball has been mostly hit or miss. Especially in 2021 as he missed MVS a lot. The Barr injury may have ended his time of throwing those 50 yard bombs on the money (usually to Jordy over the middle on a play action).
Wyatt had one.Did we get a sack tonight? I didn’t see one or I missed it
This is probably why we don't have a smash mouth team. It's hard to put together a great team in the trenches when you're picking around #30 every year. The Lions' OL is lightyears better than MN's.
Unfortunately we are looking at this with 20/20 hindsight.Often, when quarterbacks hit the wall, they hit it hard and on short notice.
Yes. Teams like the Lions and Jags should eventually improve after picking in the top 5 for years. We should get a pick in the early teens this year. This is probably why we don't have a smash mouth team. It's hard to put together a great team in the trenches when you're picking around #30 every year.
I think Love would want Bak protecting his backside should AR retire or get traded.Aaron Jones has had a crucial mistake in each of our last 3 eliminating losses. Time to move on from him as well as Rodgers. Hopefully Bak retires and ride Love next year with what's left.
