He looked nervous. If he can get over the jitters...Maybe a session or two with a sports psychologist? I'm serious.
I’m nervous about him kicking too! Heck ever since he missed that 2nd Kick I’ve had to go to the bathroom twice as much and I can’t even pee
I think it’s contagious!

Watson was fortunate. We really need him to step up this season. He just hasn’t put it all together yet in his 3rd season. Injuries have been a part of that. That said he is still a respected deep threat so just having him on the field draws some attention. One 40 yard jump ball or 1 TD high jump and the opponent has to dedicate resources to him to make sure it’s not another 40 yards or TD or whatever.

To be fair with the Willis gameplan Watson dominated his role in those two games - and honestly if Love hadn't thrown him into harms way I fully expect he would have continued delivering.

I actually have seen an impressive Watson this season. Dude's blocking grew SO MUCH this year and is literally arguably our best from someone that isn't an OL or with the name Kraft right now. He has numerous times been getting open or causing defenses to shift coverages at times which actually a few of Malik's big plays elsewhere were resulted from those.

What I'm shocked at is that MLF never schemed any swing passes or quick pitches like he did for Reed while Love was out.

Either way, I see a much improved Watson this year. MUCH.

Funny as I read this ESPN just advertised the Raiders would consider trading Davante Adams.

I just think his ceiling is much higher than what he’s achieved. Look at Jayden Reed as an example. He was drafted a year later and behind Watson and he’s tearing it up. Lots of season left though. Im still saying he’s been nowhere near worth a #33 overall selection thus far. Hopefully he bounces back and we get some big time plays

Great news to hear although unfortunately I have to be a bit skeptical. Seems like Watson has often been one to outdo his injury timelines (and not in a positive way :( )

Doubs doubtful with a personal matter? Don't know where this comes from but RUMOR has it he's unhappy with his role? Isn't an NFL receiver's role "to get open so the QB can throw you the ball?"

If you are unhappy with your stat line Mr. Doubs I would suggest perhaps playing better

Okay couple things, one he’s the leading snap getter out of the WRs last I checked.

This is also VERY MUCH out of his normal character. Like left field weird and I’m curious if we ever actually learn if the rumor is just media BS or any truth to it.

It would be very self destructive. I like the guy. Even have a jersey. I hope he's playing Sunday.

He showed up to practice on Wednesday, install day, & then team personnel went to his house Thursday to find him when he no-showed. WTF!!! Hopefully fines, suspension, & anything else Gute can do to help him "get his mind right" will occur. Doubt he even made the trip to L.A. so probably "Out".

** EDIT**
Just read the Packers have suspended Doubs for Sunday for detrimental conduct. How does his behavior make anything better, for anyone?

Not sure how his teammates will react but this warrants suspension. This is a case when a team lacks veteran players young players do not have a mentor and they behave like children. I remember Cris Carter trying to mentor Randy Moss in his early years. Unfortunately, Carter was older and went to play elsewhere and Moss got careless again.

Good news is that we activated Andrew Beck, a FB, who played for the Texans. Although he will swing at TE and special teams we can use him in the backfield as a blocker, etc. inside the 10 yard line.

Funny. But yes I think so!

I just think sometimes we forget these men were boys not that long ago.
If you get a chance.. just run through through the Rosters Birthdates to get the full effect. I do that time to time and it’s eye opening how young these kids are and if I’m not mistake you are older than me?! So I’m not sure how that makes you feel! :roflmao:
Until I hear more I’d chalk it up to he’s competitive and sometimes that competitive nature surfaces in individualism.

Unfortunately, a team mentality can never bow to one individual. Otherwise we would have a bunch of individuals all doing what THEY think is best.

As fans we can say stuff jokingly that the GM can’t. Tell him to get back in line or we’ll trade him for Tyreek Hill. LOL

Yeah, I get it. They're "kids" in the grand scheme. Maturity is not for wimpy crybabies.

I turn 66 next month. I'm not drooling uncontrollably yet and have not even considered retiring yet there are too many youngsters to embarrass. :) As the old saying goes: Age and chicanery will beat youth and talent everytime.

If nothing else, this should be a wake-up call for Doubs and his young teammates. If you want to play an individual sport, then go play golf.

I think leaving him in GB to mull things over was a smart decision.
Yeah. I’d love to have Doubs come along, this might be good in the long run for everyone involved.
Call me crazy but I’m excited to see those targets Filtered around to Jacob’s, Melton, Reed, Kraft or Wicks. I sure would like to see Jacobs get that first Passing TD

Damn, instead of listing on on the injury report last week we should have suspended him. Conduct detrimental to the team? He got hurt and couldn't play that's pretty detrimental.

Looking at the snap counts for the Rams game was interesting. I could be wrong, but it seems that a lot of players played more snaps than "normal". Might be due to injuries or the coaches have finally settled on they guys they want in there the most.

The 5 guys on the OL played every offensive snap (59). Jacobs (44) and Wilson (15) played all the RB snaps. Beck, a TE did play 3 snaps as an H-Back.

I found it interesting and maybe a bit telling, that the Packers did not elevate either of the 2 practice squad WR's for Sundays game. That meant that they went into the game with just 4 active WR's (Reed, Wicks, Melton and Heath). With Musgrave injured but active, that left them pretty thin. Thankfully, the 4 of them seemed to stay healthy during the game and were able to rotate in and out. Musgrave ended up not playing, which meant Kraft (50) and Sims (19) took all the snaps at TE.

On defense, Walker, McKinney, Williams and Nixon played on all 78 defensive snaps. Bullard got a lines share as well, with 73.

Evan Williams going from not even half or barely any the first four weeks to playing all 78 snaps on Defense is a MASSIVE signal to his maturation and if you hear Xavier McKinney touch on both he and Javon's future it makes you feel incredible about those three for the coming years. Evan is that hybrid guy that can literally sub down into the box, split out on a TE or WR...cover a RB or roll into deep coverage.

I found it interesting that for a Defense that allowed 76 plays for 370 yards and 24 1st Downs of production. Hafley only gave up 12 points. Then you consider we played without one of our best DL and best DB in Alexander and Wyatt

I am going off of feel and maybe someone can provide the stats, but our defense, on first downs, appeared to be really pathetic yesterday. Seemed like the Rams were always ripping off big 1st down chunks and faced a lot of "3rd and short" because of it.
