Do we have enough talent on this team this season?

The announcers noted that Graham was more effective with Seattle, specifically pointing out that he isn't getting open enough. They attributed this to his skill level falling off, but this is such a common complaint about the GB offense. Has he fallen off or is it the scheme?
He looks slow. Like Richard Rodgers slow. We had the answer in Jared Cook, a field stretcher and TE and in line blocker all in one, but another botched management decision.

Frankly it has more to do with the variables of his pad level integrity than anything, he is very highly successful I might add.
It's nice that you can take time out from your buffet at Golden Corral to respond to fans on the forum like this.

They better win against the 49ers. Because after that: Bye, @Rams, @ Patriots, Vs Dolphins, @ Seahawks.

The good news is McMuffin is out the door without making the NFCCG at mininum. The bad news is there's no guarantee the replacement will be much better. And the team is still void of talent.

Lots of things went wrong today and when that many things go wrong the coach needs to be questioned. I’ve been a McCarthy apologist but I’m done with him. We never start fast, always play timid, and his game management is horrible. His offense is outdated and doesn’t seem to be able to scheme people open. If this season doesn’t turn around quickly I think his seat needs to be very VERY HOT!

Yeah, that is a rough stretch of road there. I don't know if I can picture us beating the Rams or even the Patriots on their field. And with the way the refs have treated us, I'm not comfortable that we will win at Seattle either.

I have my qualms about McCarthy also, but it's not surprising the team has started slow in games, since Rodgers has been limited in practice. Of course we had Rodgers health as an excuse last year, it's wearing thin.

A better question is "what doesn't this team need right now?" Cupboard feels pretty bare right now. As far as talent goes, we don't need a LT, QB, or a P.

Other than that? Yikes.

Is there anything in the rulebook that says we can't have them?

These need to be used to road grade the coaching staff and 80% of the roster. The other 20% basically being our starters who should take over ST duties.

What does this team need? Aaron’s not listening and I can’t blame Dom anymore. Please anybody we need help before the 2nd half starts.....
I honestly don't know.
Frustrated fans for years on here kept on calling for personal changes with the DC and the GM and we got them and nothing much has changed except it looks worse than before.
Maybe getting a new DC or any other coaches that were not part of losing teams would help.
Seriously? They get a guy from the Clowns?
Why?
Was he the ONLY one that answered the want ad?

The Packers are 23-23-1 in their last 47 games. Almost three full seasons. They're nowhere near the talent level needed to be a serious Super Bowl contender, and we all know who is responsible for that.

I’ll agree with you on that. TT’s mentality of building a roster strictly through drafting and developing players has dug this team into a hole at multiple positions. Some of his guys that he locked up long term aren’t getting it done either. Been hearing for years the window was closing, hate to say it but it might finally be shut.

Here's a question: Why was Thompson kept on as an "Advisor"? He should've been gone completely. The man has wasted the prime of a generational QB. I'm starting to think 2010 was an outlier of otherwise underachieving season's.

I think our defense should get over their fright of quarterbacks and make better plays. Twice Aaron had the ball stripped from his hand. Our D-line is too afraid to get anywhere near the quarterback and make any plays at all.

1 Deandre Hopkins type, 1 Sean Lee type,
1 Earl Thomas type, 1 Brandon Brooks type,
1 Demarcus Lawrence type.

That’s my Christmas list.

I think we’re 1 more offseason of acquisitions from turning the corner. We’re all way too optimistic to believe a new OC, DC and GM will have immediate results year 1. We need 5 position upgrades to make a noticeable change.

S, OG, WR, Edge, ILB. If we can NET 3 of 5 in 2019 and another 2 positions in 2020 we would be substantially improved.

So we now then have a losing record in our last 48 games? Holy cow that really puts our struggles into a much better perspective. MM may actually be in some trouble here

We need a regime change.

Fire MM. Mike Pettine and all the defensive coaches gone. Except for Whitt-he is kept on as DB coach. All the offensive coaches are gone except Philbin. He is kept on as QB coach and instructed to be the "dad figure" in the QB room/be willing to call out AR12's sometimes spotty play/unwillingness to take the short gainers that keep him upright and the offense on schedule/defense off the field.

Hire Raheem Morris as HC. Even though he's coaching WRs for ATL atm, he's a defensive guy and is exactly what GB needs from a head ball coach right now. The opposite of MM. A Mike Tomlin-esque guy that is a motivator. He's been a head coach in the NFL before so he'll be ready for the opportunity, plus he's still young enough to bring the energy we need.

Hire Dave Aranda away from LSU to run the Packers defense. I know I've read plenty of posts from people who have mentioned his name as I have previously. LSU's defense is pretty darn good as they usually are and the guy got the LSU job after running UW's D. I think he could call plays here and turn things around once and for all on defense as long as Gute gets him some OLBs who are true EDGE pass rushers.

Hire Brian Brohm to call plays as the OC. He is co-OC at Purdue and they just put up 42 vs Nebraska. From what I saw the Boilermakers offense was physical at the point of attack in the run game/ran some pistol formations (something I think Aaron Jones would beast out of) and used the tight end nicely in the pass game (therefore Jimmy Graham would have a place in the scheme). I think this is the best hire for OC BECAUSE he played behind AR12. Aaron will respect him for that/also want to pick his brain about college offenses and how to utilize some of the newer stuff that guys like McVay/Reid/Pederson have been using to rip pro defenses to shreds recently. The last thing he'd do is tune Brohm out/treat him with lack of respect because of their proximity in age or because he wasn't as good as him as a pro QB. If anything he'll listen to him more/maybe pull in the reigns and be more of a "system QB" like Brady does because he wants to make Brohm look good. In order to get Aaron to be more effective/take less risks we're gonna have to have a unique person as OC/play-caller to get him to accept some things he won't right now with McCarthy. Or in other words keep him interested/not bored in the scheme of the regular game plan and not want to just allow the play to unravel and then do his backyard thing that is beginning to become more of a detriment to his health and the stability of the offense than a positive. Brohm could do that because of his background and history with GB.

We need new blood-and these 3 guys are the ones to do it-after the Mike and Mike show is put to rest this season.

Agree 100% with what your statements. TT is not the genius he was made out to be, was far too much trust in him for far too long. As for the advisory position it certainly seems this organization has a hard time parting ways with people who underachieve.
