Do we have enough talent on this team this season?

Put it this way. Since the start of the 2014 season the Packers are 41-27-1. The same record as the Vikings during that time period. MN has had 5 Starting QB's during that time period.

Both teams rank sixth in the league in winning percentage over that period. That's pretty good.

I said this year, not just this game. Do you really think garbage time stats make up for the less than impressiveoverall offensive play from the previous four games?

At half time the Packers had outgained the Lions 200-160 yards but yet were down by 24 points. Do you really think the turnovers and missed field goals had nothing to do with it???

How did we get to that championship game? A miracle throw, catch and field goal. Not a lot of coaching involved.

Whatever. I guess you don't believe coaching hadn't anything to do with the first 59 minutes of that game either.

If it makes you feel any better I would be fine with the Packers hiring Aranda as defensive coordinator. The other suggestions were ridiculous though.

They weren't ridiculous-you just don't agree with them. That's the problem you and alot of posters have on here-you can't disagree with someone without attempting to be insulting.

You're not the standard of what are good suggestions on the Packers. If you agree with something-by all means say so. If you don't-do the same-but why do you have to try to dig at the poster?

There are things on here I'm sure you've suggested that I/others have disagreed with, but that doesn't mean that I have to attempt to ridicule you over it. I can just simply agree to disagree.

Think about it, WIMM...

There are well-conceived suggestions on how to improve the Packers I don't agree with yet make sense to argue about.

Replacing McCarthy with a head coach that has a .354 career winning percentage as well as hiring a college offensive coordinator whose signature game seems to have come against a terrible Nebraska team aren't such ideas.

I will consider doing a workout improving my sensitivity to not hurt anyone's feelings around here going forward though ;)

Raheem Morris' record can be sliced a number of different ways-the point I was making is that he is the TYPE OF COACH that we would need to replace McCarthy with in order to get the results we want. And Brohm's Purdue offense vs Nebraska wasn't the seminal reason why he is the TYPE OF COACH that we would need to replace McCarthy's system offensively to get Aaron Rodgers out of his funk.

Maybe if you take off those rose-colored glasses you seem to be wearing when you read some of my posts and comprehend the overall message you won't come off as so arbitrary/salty.

Morris record is what it is and can't be sliced any other way. I have absolutely no idea why anyone would suggest him to be the best option available if the Packers decide to move on from McCarthy.

The same is true for Brohm. Therefore I stand by my earlier statement that it's ridi......, wait a moment, not a brilliant idea, to hire either of them.

See, even thinking about a workout to improve my sensitivity has already made me more polite ;)

In other news, Giants plan to release Ereck Flowers if they can't find a trade partner by 4 PM today. Given our offensive live struggles, as a former Top 10 pick in 2015 I think he could definitely be worth a look if/when Bulaga goes down or Bahktiari misses time. Maybe he would have more success if he moved inside to Guard? He's still on his rookie contract so he would be a cheap fill-in.

This league is about when you play a team as much as it’s about who you play. The Packers have enough talent to compete in the NFC. They need Rodgers to be healthy.

Secondly, assuming in week 4 that we know who’s winning the Super Bowl reveals some serious ignorance of how this league works.
Yeah you pretty much nailed it. Look at the last Packers SB win in 2010. They really started to play in late November and December, squeaked in as the sixth seed and ran the table, all on the road. There’s a lot of football yet to be played, and while it may be logical to say the Rams are unstoppable, history would suggest such a conclusion in early October is premature.

Hey that’s big of you Captain! Message boards, forums, texts, and emails are limited to words, so it’s easy to take a remark Out of context. In those cases, I ignore it and move on. One comment I did see from you did strike me as being spot on - that GB is a good Strong Safety (or maybe a FS) and a good edge rusher away from being a SB contender. I agree with this. The mental mistakes have to stop as well, but HHCD played terribly on Sunday, and the team is not getting even close to a consistent pass rush. I suppose Khalil Mack AND Earl Thomas would have been too much to pull off, but the team needs to move to address those gaps. Probably not realistic to do it now, but certainly in FA and the draft.

Flowers has struggled mightily as a full time starter during his tenure with the Giants but might present a decent backup. I don't think moving him to guard presents a viable option though.

The Packers are in need of a free safety being capable of playing single high. In my opinion the team has enough talent at strong safety.
