A win v.s. Minnesota would put us in a prime position to get to 13-3.

The next two games after this Sunday have me mildly concerned about a potential trap game. Detroit at home, even though they did play the pitiful Colts defense, and the Giants on Sunday Night after the bye. I think the Giants are going to be lethal especially after a few tune up games.

But if we can get through the first 4 games at 3-1 or maybe even 4-0, we could potentially have home field wrapped up by week 15.
I fail to see how the season's home opener against a division foe can qualify as a potential trap game. Nor the first game back after the bye. Now the Titans game in November could well be one.

Trap game, game to be concerned with, however you want to characterize it. Bottom line if we can get through the first 4 games with only 1 loss then we are in good shape.

For a schedule that's deemed to be the easiest in the NFL, it's certainly going to present some challenges early on.

Well, I think the concern with Detroit is we all figured it would be a routine win against them at home last year, and they ended up breaking that 24-year losing streak. I think this year it'll be a different story. And Detroit can't be coming in too hot this time, especially after losing to the awful Titans.

Meantime, Seattle looking like a rust bucket still, and while Arizona got back on track today, I'm still not all that worried about them this year. NFC West just looks really weak this year.

My biggest concern though is how having such an early bye-week will impact the rest of the season, assuming we have the typical season with a ton of injuries.

I'm hoping to get to 2-0 tonight. Our offense hs a lot to clean up to reach their potential, and we have some thin depth at vital positions in defense.

Lol 13-3? This team won't even make the playoffs.

There's no reason to panic yet. The Packers have lost one of their first two games in four seasons during the current seven year playoff streak. The team has a lot of talent and is capable of performing on a high level.

Probability vs. Possibility. I have faith that this team can perform at a higher level, but the current injuries and reoccurrence of the same problems that plagued the Packers last season lets me know that something fundamentally is wrong with this team that getting Jordy back has not fixed.

The Packers are pretty healthy compared to other teams. I agree that the offense struggling is reason for concern but there's no need to not consider them
a playoff team.

Yup, this team has enough talent overall to still be a playoff team and get things rolling once they start clicking again. And I had penciled that game at Minnesota as an L, and even without Bridgewater I knew it could still be trouble.

I will say though, if we lose to Detroit at home next week in the same repeat fashion that we did last year, then there will be some things to consider changing here in order to take the ball out of Rodgers's hands and put it more in the hands of Lacy and Starks to win games instead. But we have to let this season play out further before making verdicts here.

ie you were wrong, I was correct. I picked the Packers to lose this game and I was correct.

Actually, it was 50/50, and no we didn't just automatically pick the Packers to win, we said their chances go up without Bridgewater, and in the end we only lost by 3, so it was perfectly winnable. But no it was no sure thing that they were going to win. Anyway, good luck to your Vikings these next couple weeks, they're gonna need it lol

I'm still a believer in 13-3. Not thrilled with the current state of affairs, but still a believer.

Same here, I just think we need to get on the ball. Seem to be getting a lot of overreaction to my thread about Detroit being a must-win. For cripes sakes nobody is saying the season is over or any of that nonsense, they just want this team to start playing like the team they can, and start it up now. Winning builds confidence, but losing destroys it, plain and simple.

Your assumption is that we are going to bounce back next week. I think we are going to lose or win in a close game.
But if we win convincingly, are we back?

My point was that one good game will change the tone of the boards drastically. Just goes to show how impressionable most are with one game's worth of results. My stance on the team isn't going to change unless we are still struggling around week 5-6.

Patience isn't typically practiced with any type of precision. ;)

I can tell you that Rodgers and the Pack could win next week 60-14 and the pundits will still find a way to make it bad. The game vs the Vikings was a winnable game that could have established us as a legit team. All we did was confirm that our offensive issues never went away. Week 2 loss? Ok, I can deal if it was a game we got smashed in, but instead it was a game that was sloppy as hell. It's how we loss that bothers more so than actually losing at all.

Really thought the team was not all there in MN on Sunday. But hope to be redeemed over on against the Lions at home!

relying on Rodgers lucky deep balls this year wont help the team.

Barely beat Jackson in a very boring game. It shouldn't have been that close as the Chargers proved when they shut them out.
1st half of Vikings, boring. And then they manage to lose that one.
I don't think the sky is falling yet but to proclaim them going 13-3 looks way too optimistic at this juncture.
