The steel troughs are at Soldier Field (embarrassed that I know this), not Lambeau unless things have regressed in last 4 years.

Did they used to have them? Before the renovation probably. I vaguely recall using them and can't for the life of me think of where else it could have been.

Two words: ice breaker. Port of Green Bay is typically active already in March

Many years ago, it was common for Lake Michigan to completely freeze.

Stadium opened in '57 and '63 had renovations already? With an upgrade in '65? Didn't get their moneys worth did they.
