Ok then.

Mr. Source-- how much time did he spend at corner and how much at safety before 2018? I'm cool with rounding to the nearest 10 if you don't remember exact snap counts.
You are joking I hope.

It's ok to admit you were mistaken. You thought he played only CB up until 2018. It's fine.

We both like Thornhill. I like him a little more for the Packers than you. I think we can live with that.

I just don't feel good about any other safety unless it's after 44. Thornhill is the only one I would even consider for the Pack at 30, but I love him at 44.

No, I'm not joking-- if you don't need a source because you are a source, then cough up the info.

And no-- I wasn't mistaken.I told you something I read and asked if you knew of a source that contradicted it.

If you watch the video in that link, Palazollo says that he was a full time CB in 2016 and 2017.

It's ok to admit you were wrong. You don't even have to say you were just move on.

And no I do not take orders from some random on the internet telling me I need to post proof. Thanks for the laugh though.

Go look at the Virginia football roster for 2017. He is listed as a safety. They don't do that if he switched to safety first in 2018.

I asked you a normal question. You chose to take it as some sort of aggression. You don't have to be so sensitive.

We can either talk ball like normal people or you can pitch a fit when you aren't immediately agreed with. It's your call.

This link also seems to suggest that Thornhill was at corner prior to 2017:

Yes, he split time between CB and safety in 2016. Scroll up. I said that from the jump. I didn't see as much of the 2017 season so I don't know how much CB if any he played that season, but I do know he played safety in 2016 and 2017, not first time at safety in 2018. He barely played in 2015 so it's not worth discussing that season.

Can we move on? Haha.

We're going from "I am the source! Admit you're wrong" to "I didn't see much of 2017 so I don't know..."

I saw a lot of 2016 and the games in 2017 I saw he played safety. I don't talk about games I haven't seen unlike some on the internet trying to pretend they are something they are not. I am speaking generally about the net and not about you personally.

Have a good night!

The good thing being that guys like him normally don't last long around here as at some point they realize that nobody cares about their "facts" as long as they can't support it with any evidence. Brandon being the exception of course.

I'm late to the party....

Despite the Giants replacing the Browns I'm still all in on trading back to 15th-17th in exchange for either an additional 2nd or 3rd. The more I mock, the more White, Oliver, and Ferrell don't last to 12th anymore.

However if I HAD to, I could live with Hockenson at 12th. I'd prefer D.K. Metcalf though. Him and Adams on the outside and GMo/MVS/EQB can battle for the slot. Darkhorse pick could be Josh Jacobs.

Adderley is my Top S on the board and the more I mock, it's very risky to walk away from 30th without getting him. He doesn't last til 44th much anymore. If not, Gardner-Johnson and Savage are available but I think Savage might be a reach at 44th and should be available in the 3rd.

Never too late to a party.

I also like D.K. Metcalf. If Hockenson and Oliver are gone at #12 then Metcalf is one of the players to seriously consider for the Pack. Some seem to think he is just a freak athlete and will be a flop in the league. Definately a freak athlete, but also has the the tools to work all 3 levels of the field. Should take a huge leap forward in a NFL offense with expanded route tree and top notch coaching.

Josh Jacobs would be interesting at RB. One of my main concerns with Aaron Jones is his thin frame and durability. I love Jones, but can he be the main ball carrier all season and stay healthy? He has not proven that yet. Jamaal Williams is more of bruiser and blocker so Jacobs might be just what the Pack needs to solidify the RB room. Not the fastest, but also catches the ball well and has sturdy frame.

Chauncey Gardner Johnson is better than Thornhill. I like cgj at #44 and Thornhill at #75. I liked Adderely at #44 too but after he pulled his hamstring again I'm not sure his play making ability worth the risk

I agree with you. Gardner-Johnson is my favorite of the bunch as well. GB's propensity to take elite athletes makes me think Thornhill is more likely, however. And Thornhill is really good too, but I don't like his versatility quite as much as CGJ. He won't make it to the 3rd round. Or at least I should say that that would shock me.

With CGJ though where do you see him playing for the Pack? I assume you are thinking FS, and I don't want to get in another CB or safety debate here, but he did play a lot of slot CB and may be the best fit there.

I agree a good player, but unlike Thornhill who I think is clearly a safety there is some question of where you would play CGJ.

I do like him having that versatility though. And in the right defense he could do a little of both. I just question if the Packers is a good fit for him.

I think for the Packers, people should think less in terms of the strong safety/free safety distinction, and more in terms of versatility. Pettine doesn't use safeties in strict roles a la Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor. His safeties will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities by virtue of the multiplicity of his defense. In a perfect world, Pettine would have two guys like Amos who can do basically whatever you want him to do. That would allow him to deploy them in a variety of ways and keep his coverage unpredictable. This is why Gardner-Johnson is my favorite of the group. I think he's best set up for that sort of role. I also think Adderley, Thornhill, and Savage could work that way to a lesser extent.

I know you weren't writing to me but I would just say that I am not questioning between FS and SS with CGJ. I am questioning if he would be better playing slot corner in the NFL. A lot of snaps there in college.

I want a true safety. I feel Thornhill is that guy and you are one of few who know like I do that Thornhill has good qualities of both a FS and SS. And yes in Pettine's D that's a plus.

What I don't know is a fit, is a dude who may be best as a slot CB at the next level like CGJ.

Just my humble opinion.
