The Commanders and the Chiefs almost suck as much as the saints.
:roflmao: You know something though? As I watched parts of the game yesterday (Saturday) between the Chiefs and the Texans, I could not help but notice the glaring difference in how the officiating was what seemed to be glaringly unbalanced in the Chiefs favor. Although I can't and won't name specific cases because truthfully, I don't really give a rat's *** about either team, I couldn't help but notice that if that Texans had a substantial play, it was inevitably called back on a ticky-tack penalty, whereas the Chiefs seemed to get a "pass" even on the blatant penalties.

It was almost like Referee: "Holy cow, the Texans had a substantial gain here... I better call something here." Now, I'm not the type who buys into conspiracy around every corner stuff but it just got to the point where I couldn't watch that crap anymore. THEN, you realize that the Chiefs have played marginally this year (as the NFL's Super Bowl Champion), yet are a one loss team that has won some extremely close games that they should not have won - by all accounts anyway.

The counter point to that statement is that "Champions find a way to win", right? That may have been exclusively true prior to The Shield getting into bed with gambling interests, up until a couple of years ago, I would have dismissed such an inference with a hearty "TAKE YOUR MEDS fella, your team lost. They need to play more disciplined football."

I'm slowly coming to the realization that NFL Football is no longer a live Chess game - a bonafide mano-e-mano battle between two teams that are on equal footing and the best man (team) wins. The NFL just is not passing the eye test anymore. It's like they don't even care how obvious the slanted officiating has become. The NFL games, in my eyes are becoming more of a high priced reality show. I'm not going to compare an NFL game to Professional Wrestling, that comparison has become almost passe ... I'm comparing it to, like, The Emmys or the Oscars ... pure and simple choreographed like the Rockettes - now, every outcome can't be rigged, but the flow of the game sure could be and probably is.

I watched as much as my sensitive gut could take ... then, shut it off and went to fix a friend's plumbing issue.

Truly guys ... I WANT to believe in the NFL much the same way I wanted to believe in Santa Claus up to certain age. Then ... it begins to click.

They have won, like 7 game this season where a controversial call factored into the victory. The controversial call always went their way.

I think it has to do with Taylor Swift. Not that she is a puppet master who controls the world, but that millions of young ladies have started watching the Chiefs. Maybe they will become fans if the team is winning. So the NFL is giving them a leg up.

I agree. It was tough to watch that game and I eventually stopped. There were a few penalties on the Texans that were ridiculous. And some bigger penalties on the Chiefs, like a WR pushing off the CB, that were very obvious and should have negated a big play that wasn't called.

Carr is out. Rattler is a rookie, rattle him early and often! Kamara is most likely out. Their run defense isn't very good. Packers win and in playoffs! Get the ball 1st and score 1st! Rely on defense to shut Saints down

I can't stand the chefs, pat***** or their refs!! It's blatantly obvious who the refs favor every week!

Maybe it's just a perception on my part, but it seems like the calls and non calls got more blatant and egregious after the NFL found the way to incorporate gambling legally.

Would love to see a 6 flags/team/half limit put on the reffing staff. They'd call blatant holding, personal fouls & P.I. but NOT call the BS ineligible downfield, illegal shift, etc. The stupid "procedural" things don't affect the game, so why stop the game & change team's momentum?

You can't be serious on either point.

Absolutely am serious. I referreed multiple sports in my younger days... the role is to keep play fair, not dictate outcomes. Is NFL ref'ing fair, right now? Games are being decided by zebras choosing to call holds, PI's, pick-plays, etc on one team & same plays go uncalled on other teams. Fans tune in to watch players play, not referrees control the outcomes.

Play enough sports and you'll see that players and games are all about momentum. Games can change on a dime and obviously the human error element of refereeing can add to the heart ache. Rigged??? Highly unlikely. Bad refs??? More likely.

Seeing the Bills struggle after such a convincing win gives me pause, but then I remember that we never beat the Seahawks that convincingly. We are still an ascending team.

You need to think that one through.

If I was a coach, I would have my players commit penalties on every play. OLine would each grab a face mask and pull the DLineman to the ground. DBs would tackle evey WR on every play.

Yes you have a 3 and out on offense. Then they get a good drive, but after that you will completely shut down their offense and do very well on offense.

Packers 38-10. Our defense is firing on all cylinders and only give up points late in the game when we have the 2nd stringers out there. Love is in full command of the offense and moves the ball easily. Jackbs gets a bunch of rest when the game is in hand early. Wilson has a big night.

Hopper got 3 snaps last week. Wonder if they’ll use him peppered in a little more. I expect Quay to take a week off.

We lost Jordan Morgan for the season on IR this morning. Both 3rd Rounders have had little to zero impact on O or D (other than Teams)
Edgerrin and Evan are life savers. 2 players of the top 5 draft picks that contribute. Cooper is playing like he’s 2 Defenders
I'm thinking Hopper is going to be really good. Hope he sees more minutes. I'm sorry, but I just don't see Q Walker being that exceptional at middle lb. Our defense looked really good last week and expect better yet tonight.
