I'm surprised the NHL hasn't come to Wisconsin when expansion has been on the table.
And with a team in Minnesota, Illinois, and Michigan you might think it may have come there years ago. Now they are in Florida, Utah, and Washington state.

Plus Nevada, Tennessee and N Carolina in that same timeframe. You can't tell me professional hockey wouldn't be supported in Wisconsin.

Allen doesn't bring much to the table as far as the passing game. We need to pressure him into making mistakes, and control their running game, which won't be easy. Keep him in check with the pressure, and they won't put much on the boards.

This has gone from a real tight game to one the Packers should win, and show what they have on both sides of the ball. But, it is the NFL, and therefore..... nobody can be certain.
The one thing that’s beneficial is Allen is not a substantial Runner. One of Purdys’ most underestimated attributes is his ability to punish with his arm and legs. Brock is like young Rodgers where he can silently punish teams with his feet. Many don’t know that Aaron Rodgers ranks #10 All-Time as a Rushing QB. His 4.8 per carry are Stellar for his sample size and per carry ranks #18 All-Time (50 games minimum). Thats above Jalen Hurts and just 0.2 per carry behind Cam Newton in efficiency. Aaron is the ONLY QB to rank Top 10 Passing AND Top 10 Rushing in NFL history. Hard to defend a QB who can Win in multiple ways.

Purdy and Love are not at Rodgers level, but both are both relatively efficient with their legs. Purdy still wins the overall battle by a hair.

Purdy (31 Starts)
41.1% 1st Down %
3.9 yds/carry
7 TD’s

Love (26 starts)
28.9% 1Down %
4.0 yds/carry
5 TD’s

Allen (9 starts)
34.3% 1Down %
1.9 yds/carry
0 TD

As we can see, thus far Allen is not nearly as dynamic with his legs. So to your point @Voyageur.. you’re exactly right, we should force Allen to beat us with his arm. If I’m Hafley I’m dialing up some additional blitz packages and forcing Allen to throw quicker, under duress or use his legs regularly. Forcing him to use his legs is a gamble I’m willing to live with.

Enjoy the game! Nothing like Lambeau Field on a balmy 45 degree day. Love that temperature for games! If the sun shines it will be perfect! Give us a sign if the camera happens to land on you. The dance shown would work. :)
I should be easy to spot, I will be wearing green and gold! ;)

We do struggle against TEs like Kittle and RBs like McCaffery. We have to be better in the RZ or it is going to be a long afternoon for us.
thank you for the observation - just think of the super cold ATL @ GB game and Tony Gonzales...the Lambeau Field Mis-stink

I really feel like this comes at a crucial point in our season, too.

Look back at last year...We were pretty up-and down to open the season, going 3-6 through week 10. But then Love really locked in and the whole team went on a solid run to close out the season and head into the playoffs. From week 11 onward, we went 6-2.

Obviously we're in better shape right now record-wise compared to this point last season, but I think most would probably agree with me that it feels like we really haven't got everything dialed quite in yet and that it still largely feels like we're still looking to find our footing. Just a kind of uneven team in many ways.

But with all that in mind...like I said above, SF are IMO a lot worse than recent years. But I still think psychologically this could be an extremely important game. Yes, it's just regular season, but they've knocked us out of the playoffs in 19, 21, and 23, and as best I can remember the last time we beat them was early in the 2021 regular season. And of course a win would be important not just for our possible playoff seeding but it would make it very, very difficult for the 9ers to make the playoffs at all. I think that's a big boost - we get the monkey off our back in some ways, and don't have to worry about running into them in the postseason. I'm sure while they wouldn't say it out loud there are probably a lot of guys who have been with us a few years who would really like to avoid what feels like an inevitable playoff exit to SF.

Of course that sword cuts both ways too. Just like a win could serve as a springboard to everything coming together for a back-half run...a loss could be really damaging mentally, too. Hurts our playoff seeding, gives SF new life in the playoff race, and we have to deal with continuing to feel like they've got our number (even a weaker/reduced version). Don't mean to sound dramatic, but it really wouldn't surprise me if it ends up being a pretty pivotal, make-or-break type of game.
you are so spot on

It's definitely an interesting matchup. The 49ers are 2nd in the league in yardage at basically 400 ypg. Green Bay is not that far behind at 388 ypg. Passing, SF is at 251 ypg and GB is at 238 ypg. Rushing is almost identical. GB is 150 ypg and SF is 148. They are tied at for 8th at 25 ppg. On defense, GB gives up 21.3 ppg as SF gives up 22.2 ppg. Every metric and stat that I look at shows these teams very close statistically.

From what I am reading, Nick Bosa is most likely out for this game. He is quite the game wrecker and that could play into the Packers hands. It is also looking good for Alexander to come back and play for the Packers. Weather could also play a big factor in this game. It is going to be a high of 28 degrees with 10-15 mph winds.

I honestly don't have much of a prediction here. I think whoever can run the ball better wins this game. If that weekend was any indicator on how the Pack is doing stopping the run then I have some major concerns about pulling this one out. I think it will be close and the Pack lose it in the 4th. Something like 14-13, Pack take the L.
the trouble is...if we are down by 3 - it's pass pass pass and 3 and out

And he airmailed one to Kraft that resulted in that pick.

Pretty sure on the 1st Watson catch (where he had 3 guys around him) that on the other side of the field Doubs was wide open.
ahhh remember Brett's 1st couple of years? and Aaron had a tutor for what thats worth - Love will be just fine - case closed

I don't think they'll get much credit if any if they win today. All the talk will be about how beat up the 49ers were. So as I said another post, they'll be playing against themselves. Can they look sharp, take care of a lot of the self-destructive errors? That'll be the big thing for me today. I'll go Packers 31 to 10

Mostly watching game day . Caleb making some big plays. Bears and colts hanging tough with Vikings and lions. Go bears! Go a colts!
Colts called a Red Zone play like we did last week on theur 1st drive. 3rd and 1 inside the 5, play action pass, broken play, ineligible man down field for a 5 yd penalty, end up kicking a FG.

On their other scoring drive, the TE dropped a TD on 2nd and 10. Can't leave points on the field vs the Lions

I believe blame The Blackhawks as supposably there is a fee to have a franchise that close to Chicago.

Kittle is banged up...

This should be a easy dub for you guys.

Going to have to stomach this watch, somehow....

As always, hope for a clean, injury free game.
