According to John Kuhn. Lazard and Cobb so far...assumed Lewis. Probably Tonyan.

With them restructuring Bakh assuming Rodgers tried but was told no

Kuhn is willing to come out of retirement to play fullback haha
So Rodgers wants Tonyan? He did not throw to him as much as he could have.

I still think based on how Lewis spoke about MLF, if he plays I think GB will be his place.

Well, none of his ex-teamates, that people are saying he might want (Cobb, Toyan and Lazard), would be considered real weapons in my book.
I think it’s less about pure player to player comparisons and more about getting players who that will already have a firm grip on Nathaniel Hackett’s style. In that Win now Mode the Now has to be emphasized.

As long as Cobb stays healthy, he’s better than Braxton Berrios who the Jets parted ways with last weekend. Also very likely at a much cheaper price than $6m yearly.

Probably not Mason as the Jets resigned their kicker. IMO.
Imo some of those names are smoke screen (To keep us and GB guessing) and throwing a compliment at the same time.

I do believe however at minimum 1 player goes with him. Possibly 2. Nothing wrong with it look at Brady going to Tampa

Here's more insight....out of the seventeen games between our three main WRs (Lazard, Watson, Doubs) each of them led (not tied) but led the team in targets amongst WRs:

Lazard - 5 times
Watson - 4 times
Doubs - 3 times

There were tied for leads multiple times but Lazard was involved in four additional games where he was tied for targets.

Either way Lazard again is not a team's WR1 - nor will he get paid as one. His ceiling he's proven is WR2, but arguably his floor is WR2b production wise an argument could be had as well. Being one year advanced from MVS ($8.5M guaranteed) type deal but also these:

Nelson Agholor got 2 year $22M for 2021 and 2022 and proceeded to not even put up 800 yards in those years. $16M guaranteed
Zay Jones just over 800 yards this past year and 5 TDs is getting $8M/yr (Lazard 788 yards and 6 TDs) $14M guaranteed
Tim Patrick signed a 3 year $34M deal with Broncos 2021 - 2023 $11.5M guaranteed
Tyler Boyd is getting $10.75M a year and stat wise has put up similar numbers to Lazard. $11M guaranteed

Truthfully Lazard according to NFL contracts and what he is has an arguable range of $9M-$12M/year with about $10M-$15M guaranteed with strong support.

Honestly, if your GB and Lazard is willing to stay with a contract that is roughly $8M/year hit you might want to consider it strongly...but it sure seems he's gonna get around or above $10M/yr whether we agree or not.

As I said ALL along despite the folks disagreeing - $11M a year with $22M guaranteed.

11 a year 50% guaranteed...

If this wasn't a forum I'd drop the mic.

Lazard, "He Gone!" to the NYJ 4yr/$44M; AR, "HE GONE!" to the NYJ -If GB gets a #1 this year and another pick it would be a surprise, most think it will be a #2 and possibly #4 pick with a conditional in 2024... Bottom line, this team is now officially in at best rehab mode and possibly re-build..... they need a backup QB unless they want to go into this season with an unseasoned 4th yr guy and a 2nd yr guy (Etling); their WR corps iwas questionable with/without Lazard, their OL needs help and TE's are both FA's. Looks like the management team has decided they will take their lumps for the next 2-3 (maybe 4 years) and then get back to the top (if they can).... it is unlikely to happen this or next year with the roster they have now. This division will have a Vikings team that will remain at or near the top, Detroit has put themselves into position to challenge for #1 and Chicago will be better with draft picks, FA's since they are flush with cap cash. GB, doubt they bring back Lewis or Cobb (maybe Tonyan maybe) the rest not likely either. Whew! hitch up the belts because 2023 and 2024 seasons will be bumpy rides. At least fans can think about the top 15 draft picks the next 2 years.

Just curious - what brought about this spate of posts after 80 posts in three years?

Lazaard got paid! Jets gave him 4 yr/$44mil deal.
Personally $11mil per year is a little high, but it doesn’t surprise me either. WR is at a market Premium lately. I expect Rodgers news will follow. The 2 sides must be very close to hashing things out.

I’d consider Darius Slayton and pair him with a nice draft pick, such as Xavier Hutchison as one example.

Look over contracts for non rookie WRs, this is nearly the amount I said was bottom of what would happen.

It is probably fair to ask what (if any) impact the Rodgers situation had on Lazard's contract too, to be fair. May very well be that the Jets were willing to outbid others or "overpay" if they believed bringing in Lazard was/is necessary to landing their QB they're after.

Sure. Here, I think Lazard was going to take the safe approach and follow his QB’s lead (within reason).

I sorta wanted the Jets to overpay a little. If he plays substantially we’re likely getting a future 4th-6th compensatory selection pick for a guy we scooped off the the Jaguars Practice Squad! (Cash register Ring..ChaChing!)

Lol, you clearly haven't been paying attention. The Packers will be fine. The Vikings are the ones in full rebuild mode.

Rodgers targeted Tonyan 67 times last season. That's actually more than enough for an average tight end at best.

I fully expect the Vikings to win more games than the Packers next season if Rodgers is traded.
