Peppers JUST signed elsewhere. Tretter started to replace a guy and then was injured and the starter came back and he's still here and he's still cheap. Hyde was NOT a starter. He was never better than #3 at any position. Lacy is not gone, Lang is not gone. Where have they signed?

From your list, outside of Lang who still has not dried ink anywhere, the rest is really reaching man. outside of Lacy and if he's still a gluttonous pig, he can play elsewhere.

If they sign Lang and Cook I would consider things thus far salvageable.

I think this one would be more appropriate.

Good one. Relax a little. Every year there are people who say we finished 4th in the division during the off-season every year.

Of course, at this time last year, guys like Adams, Taylor, Thomas, Ryan, Crosby and Perry needed to be cut or were getting way more money than they should. Most of us were gushing about how great our defensive backfield play was going to be.

Circumstances have a way of changing. Young players aren't static performers from year to year.

Amakumara wasn't one of the cornerbacks I wanted the Packers to sign entering free agency but he would have been an upgrade over everyone currently on the roster.

Unfortunately the second week of free agency and from there isn't about elite talent anymore.
Woodson and Peppers weren't signed in week 1 of free agency, were they? Was Pickett?

Last year at this time I thought they were a TE away from having a Super Bowl team.

Times have changed. I am gonna sit back and see how the cards fall though.

For those asking, yes I've been extremely busy during free agency. I mean I've already doubled my Snake high score on my Nokia.

How many of our starters have to bolt before you start re-assessing this even being a playoff team?

More then a single one that is actually a challenge to replace? Holy **** now we aren't a PO team? And worse then one that didn't even make the POs? Get off the ****ing ledge.

I'm assuming Lang and Cook and Lacy are all gone. All those guys started games. Tretter started games. Hyde started games. Peppers started games.

Regardless, those are six spots that need to be filled. Last time I checked we have 8 draft picks with other needs to be filled as well.

Tretter "replaced" ,if u can call it that, by Lynsley. Wow that was tough replacing the fill in starter with actual starter

Lacy isn't gone yet but damn if our offense struggled without him down the stretch am I right?

Peppers wasn't any good last year. Oh my!!! How will he be replaced?

Hyde.... Are u ****ing kidding me? The fact people are actually lamenting losing him over that contract is an indictment on Packers fans in general

Cook... Yep we need to replace him. No argument.

Lang isn't gone yet but we have big bodies waiting in the wings and oh yeah. He's a Guard

Once again. Step off the ****ing ledge

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but the Packers are reportedly "in" on Connor Barwin.

They must be too cheap to pay for a PFF subscription.

I was trying to reply in a way which the sky wasn't falling but after reading through enough posts about how we're now only a step up from being the Jaguars all because we didn't splurge on on tier one FAs and lost Michael freaking Hyde and a backup offensive linemen..... I'm done..... Wait the Jaguars spent big Bucks on Bouye and worked the trade market.... They actually must want to win unlike us.....

Only 25 hrs in and the cream has been skimmed, I'm not too concerned. I still see 1 or 2 of either Lacy, Cook or Lang being resigned and a few mid range guys being brought in at a fair price. While I had really hoped for a top CB, I wasn't expecting it.

Probably gambling that 1 year potentially (hopefully) with Cousins throwing him the ball will result in a windfall in 2018.

If that's what he's gambling on, I wonder if he realizes that there is no guarantee that Cousins will be there Maybe he's gambling on an unknown Washington starter.

Good point there is nothing to leak when there nothing going on
It sucks how we never land any big name guys when they are still in the prime of their career , brandon marshall was available how do you not make a run at him ? Desean jackson , alshon jeffrey ? Will rodgers ever have another mvp caliber guy to throw 2 ? the guys i mentioned are starving for a chip and seems like building threw the draft is getting old , please help me its mind boggling why we dont go harder in free agency pick ups or trades .

I know Tretter is gone to cleveland. Linsley is our starting center. Cleveland got a nice player.
Upon rereading your statement, I guess the "he" in that statement could have referred to Linsley and not Tretter.
