Mo Claiborne is expected to sign with the Ravens

That signing doesn't bother me. We have enough injuries in the secondary to contend with, Clairborne played in an average of 8 games a season over the last 4 years.

Well, unfortunately that most likely leaves a trade as the only possibility for the Packers to acquire a #1 cornerback this offseason.

Wait....we need a #1 CB? ;)

I am really starting to wonder if TT and Co. think they already have one with their current personnel. Prior to the combine TT made some statement about the secondary struggling due to injuries. It almost seemed like a pre-cursor to "don't expect me to go out and sign one in Free Agency".

Unfortunately I'm afraid if that is Thompson's approach regarding the cornerback position it will come back and haunt the team once again.

Knowing that we need a top CB... we will wait until the 2019 draft to address that position. Just like the players that we passed on for the ILB over the past few years. Unfortunately the TT approach towards making the team with draft picks, undrafted free agents, and the occasional free agent only seems to work when you have a HoF QB in your corner.

We will probably draft a ILB first round this year, haha.

If he's the best player on the board I would have no problem with that. The problem is with TT doing nothing to address corner in free agency that's probably not an option.

The same could probably be said if TT waits to try and fix the CB issue with the #29 pick in the draft. This might be a strong CB draft, but I don't foresee finding one with that pick that can come right in and be that guy in 2017.

I agree completely and would add with all these corners you still have to pick the right one. Nobody really knows which ones are gonna be really good NFL players. It's a "dice throw"

The Chiefs have signed Benny Logan, one of the best defensive linemen still available in free agency.

Unless Poe goes back to being the pass rushing force that he was in years past, there's a case to be made that the Chiefs just upgraded.

Losing Hyde and shields perminantly. I would hope a fa is coming in. Unless he is planning another 1st and 2nd round cb tandem? But then he better get serious about some good dlinemen. And hope Mathew's gets healthy along with the 3rd year CBs.

I hope not, didn't do us much good in the 2015 Draft and I really wouldn't expect it would do us much good for 2017 either.

I figure this needs some kind of snarky reply, but I just can't get excited enough to come up with a good one. :)
Ditto
GENERALLY, I do not get exercised over players "visiting." Those are usually the players who's phones are NOT ringing off the hook with offers.
Kenny Clark is well on the way to replacing Jones and he's younger than many of the guys at the combine! Offer him a solid but, not crazy contract and pass the Guinness, it's almost *****'s Day.
