Well, it's Hump Day and the Packers are coming off a bye and gearing up to head to Chitcago on Sunday.

My first question is this, where is Caleb Williams the #1 Pick in the draft, that was going to SAVE Da Bears? Maybe even more importantly, where is @Calebs Revenge? Lot's boasting preseason, what's wrong with your Da Bears?

Let the discussion begin......

Packers are pretty darn healthy. They also should be getting back both DB starters, Jaire and Williams and C Josh Myers as well. Love has had a few weeks to rest that knee and groin. Heck, even rookie RB Marshawn Lloyd may be suiting up again.

Da Bears might be feeling that this game will make or break their season, so no letting up on this game. Will the Chicago players get their wish and Caleb Williams is benched, in favor of starting Tyson Bagent? Eberflus is saying that he is still milling it over, but Williams is the starter at this time.

8 games to go. Packers offense needs to get better in the Red Zone. Packers defense needs to get back to taking the ball away and stopping the run. Love needs to decrease the interceptions and make some better choices on when to just throw it away.

The Packers also need to clean up pre-snap penalties on BOTH sides of the ball.

Finally, Packers need to clean-up the drops. Way too many dropped passes.

Basically we just need to do the opposite of everything. :whistling:

In all seriousness those are good points.
I think either just move the needle slightly in the right direction across that spectrum and we’d be pretty hard to beat. That or take any 2-3 of those and get a sizable move in the right direction would also work. Such as 3 flags under 30 yards, no INT for Love for the day. 1 drop. 3 Sacks on Caleb and over 50% on 3rd/4th down

It all sounds pretty reasonable.

I am thinking the Packers get on track in this game. The passing game is more efficient, the OLine plays well, and the defense is aggressive. Packers got things in sync last season about this time and MLF does very well after a bye.

No doubt da Bears will be up for this game as a rivalry should be. Fired OC brings a wrinkle to our defensive game plan, but I think we should be fine.

Caleb is doing about as well as I expected. He only needs some maturity and leadership qualities and he will be very good for the Bears. He isn't there yet, but this season he will have a top 10 all time season for the Bears. And of course that speaks more to the pathetic Bear QB history than Caleb's abilities.

Packers by 15.

Still a young team, with a young QB and a new DC, as well as defensive scheme. Also, hasn't helped that Love's 2 injuries has cost him playing time, as well as playing at 100%.

As Amish pointed out, this is about the time they should be able to start playing with fewer mistakes and more success.

I hope that during the bye MLF and Stenavich worked on a better plan for the red zone offense. The Packers offense has been pretty bad inside the opponents 20. Currently, they rank 29th in red zone scoring offense (TD's) and if they expect to go very far, that HAS to improve.

The positive is that we are making young team mistakes (penalties, drops, etc.). More positive is that we are generally winning the turnover margin. Our defense is legit with a struggling offense.

Assuming that our offense gets on track at some point in the second half of the season, our defense will do even better.

Caleb's Revenge was delusional in the pre-season. Luckily his Love Potion #9 has worn off, and he isn't ******* the George Halas statue as much anymore. I think that Caleb Williams has the opportunity to be good, and has some decent pieces around him. They Bears still need to get stronger organizationally to come close to a dynasty.

Packers by 3. The Bears should be playing a little more tough and desperate after last week's debacle. I wonder what @CalebsRevenge is thinking?

I'm looking forward to see how we do post Preston. I know he had a good game with the steelers but I don't think he was playing all that well for us. He has the potential to do so every game so I'm not that surprised. So I'm hoping we can get after them while also holding the edge and stopping the run. Stopping the run means the linebackers and SS or whoever is in the box needs to get over there and help out. We need to swarm to the tackles like we did last year. The bears are probably better than they seem so we have to play our game and not make dumb mistakes. GoPack!

They've been very bad on offense lately. This is the kind of game we're such a team puts up 30 points on you. The guys need to be focused and put the pedal to the metal.

Bears cut RG Nate Davis. They signed him as a FA in 2023 to a 3 year $30M deal.

Sounds like a guy that made bank and checked out.

The good thing about this is I have absolutely zero expectation for this game.
Once again, my franchise is in utter disarray because they can't do the simple things and make easy decisions. Either absolutely should've been fired and nothing is going to change until we get Ben Johnson next year so congratulations on the win. I am absolutely embarrassed by what my franchise has done this year.

I did not think it was possible to be this bad with this talent on the team.
So flame away....... but know this I still love my Bears. I still hate you guys and even if you beat us by 100 you guys still won't win a title so ultimately we're both ending up in the same spot.......not first place.

I honestly don't know what they'll do now with the new offensive coordinator, but Shane Waldron was a joke so they might come out and hop all over you guys then again they might come out lay down and die. Either is equally a possibility.

It’s always hard to tell coming off a Bye. The one thing I’ve noticed about our youth movement is we seem to travel better than Aaron Rodgers n Co did a few years ago, not that Chicago is some long flight.
I think having a week of rest was really beneficial. However one would have to factor both J’aire and Evan back will give our secondary a boost. Also quite a few players got a needed break last week. Most importantly Jordan Love was back with a Full Practice status.

The Bears D is legit good. Marks of top area in Redzone, Turnovers etc.
Packers 23 Bears 17 something like that.

Bear's D is REALLY good in the redzone...which is why Reed. Kraft & Watson will be scoring frequently from 30-45 yds out. ;) Packers 38 - Bears 16.
Well. They’ve allowed 1 team out of 9 to score more than 21 points.

I’m actually going to adjust mine down. A Defensive game more in he

GB 22 Bears 13 feel

Don't ever doubt my love for George Hallas and y'all should be lining up to give him hand jibbies too......

I didn’t know what Jibbies are so looked it up. We’d be giving Halas the “hand creeps?!”
For the record and out of respect Halas is one L not two. Maybe that where you’ve went all wrong @Calebs Revenge you've added the extra L and we all know what an extra amount of L’s do in football :roflmao:

There's one thing I won't do. I won't be ripping on the Bears before Sunday. This is a rivalry game unlike any others in the entire NFL, and it doesn't matter how good one team is, or how bad the other is, it could go either way, and often does.

For the first time, in a long time, I actually feel bad for Bears fans because everyone felt that they could be a fairly solid team this year. Maybe not a contender for the Division crown, but showing signs of being a year away from competitive. Caleb Williams has been thrown into the river, sink or swim, and like so many other fan bases, including among our own, there's people already wanting him shipped to Siberia. The fact is, there are some talented players on the Bears roster, but let's face it, they still have a lot of work to do to protect Caleb, and to move the ball more efficiently than they are.

On defense, they've shown signs of becoming a pretty good team, and with that said, it can be enough to carry you for a game now and then. I just hope this isn't one of those games, where they've wired themselves in to what the Packers are going to do out there.

I still have a special feeling for the Bears, having known several of their players over the years, outside the game. They've all been pretty good guys, and I have to admit, it was fun having Butkus buy a couple of rounds for everyone in the bar in Wisconsin, after an old one armed man we put up to arm wrestle with him, took him down. :) Fun times! We just had to promise to never tell anyone it happened. Having taken a "beer oath" we stayed true to our words, until after **** died. RIP ****! You, Nitschke, and Chuck Bednarik. Awesome guys up the gut!

I see the Packers winning this one by less than a TD.

EDIT: I HATE THE VIKINGS! IF THEY ROT IN HELL AND NEVER WIN ANOTHER GAME, IT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEIR FANS DESERVE! THE ONLY THING GOOD THAT EVER CAME OUT OF THERE WAS "Bench Warmer" Bob, and Bud Grant, who was one helluva fisherman, and knew lures as good as anyone, I'd guess.

Love cannot limp or hobble. He is and one dimensional. Chicago D is adequate. Lloyd sees the field so hes out again with an eye injury.. lol

33 needs to be back. This could be a trap game we shall see.

It seems Bears have told Caleb to be very conservative and not make mistakes in recent games. 460 yds and no TDs or Ints over last 3 games? Sacked 18 times as well. 20 yds rushing over the last 2 games (47 yds against Texans). My fear is the new OC opens things up and he is willing to take more chances. Caleb does really well scrambling and improvising and he may have a big game.

I appreciate your attitude and that you are sticking around.

Let me ask you though, do you wish you had taken Daniel's? Or would it be the same thing and a coaching change is needed?
