He's spent most of his career there, but you missed the point.
Let me clarify, I don't expect Webb to move back to cornerback at this stage of his career.

What about listing the complete change in coaching staff, scheme, etc. A lot more goes into such a change than just NY's free agent moves. What about listing the moves the Giants made last season to upgrade their defense as well??? The unit improved from 30th in points allowed in 2015 to second in '16.
Agree 100%.As I've said repeatedly there's a smart way to use free agency, even when making splash signings.
I allready did on the so...... thread
type players. To me, that's not the standard. Then you recognize problems at OLB and CB, before finishing off with being OK at safety. If that's not a D in need of upgrades for a SB run, then it's a classic 'agree to disagree' situation.wow we just need to replace that guy
The Bears are signing Prince Amukamara. Another cornerback off the market.
I don't know of another franchise in the league that pays out less guaranteed money as a percentage of the total package than we do. Some of these guaranteed bonuses I'm seeing on these FA's are stunning.Well it was about ten million less over the course and 8 less in guarantees. Perry is a much more team fiend lt deal.
I wouldn't have been bent out of shape about signing Bouye, quite the opposite actually, but Perry was a better deal
I'm surprised at how much more vocal and freaked out fans get at this time of the season. It's gotten gradually louder, roughly correlating with the increased FA period coverage by sports television and the invention of Twitter. We should all know by now that TT will not likely make a move for another week or two, yet half of you are ready to tear up your stock.
Stop watching tv, take a break from the forum, go spend time with your family, and let the blood vessels protruding from your foreheads recede.

I actually find it very amusing. Yesterday we already had a cliff jumper 1:18 into free agency. Seriously, this is about the best free entertainment a guy can get.I'm surprised at how much more vocal and freaked out fans get at this time of the season. The opening week of free agency is all about player friendly and team gouging deals. GM's have no leverage in the first week. It's an auction for desperate GM's. Sanity doesn't come calling until later.Agreed. Seems like there are 2 extreme schools of thought with free agency. "Sign the best, we are bound to improve" or "Don't bother with big names, they are bound to fail". Unfortunately, TT tends to be at school #2, except when it comes to his own players. I think there is a happy median between the 2 extremes, but until TT gets out of his comfort zone and takes a few lessons from a guy like Bill Belichick, his fear of failure in the FA market is handicapping the possibility of success.
The more I look at the Perry contract, the happier I am that it isn't too loaded with guarantees and seems to be cap friendly, not sure why TT can't find other FA's (from other teams) to do the same thing.

Bahktiari bought security with his early extension. I think mgmt knew that they were most likely going forward with new guards.I don't get where the idea that TT low balls guys comes from. If anything TT seems to overpay for his own players.
If you are lang you see that you are one of the best guards. What do you have to lose by testing the waters? Bahk hadn't proven he was a star yet but the Packers paid like he would be come a pro bolwer. Many here thought TT overpaid Bahk. However I bet Bahk wishes he wouldn't have signed that deal now. He probably lost 3-4 million a year signing that early. Imagine what he would have received in this market?

I think this one would be more appropriate. You must be logged in to see this image or video!
Goodbye Peppers. The list goes on

Good on the Panthers for bringing him home (by the looks of things at this point). I think the Pack need to move on though.
One of 4 CB's to allow 5+ TD's with 0 INT's. Small consolation to Gilmore

I agree a simple "list goes on" was noted. I am shocked how many Packers are dropping though
My AMC Pacer has been acting up lately. Time to use some of that cap money on a 1998 Toyota Corolla I've had my eye on.
Uhhh... 2 are gone at this point. One grossly overpaid in Buffalo, and the other a 40 yr old player at the end of his rope.
