Not a retort but would you call the Offense without our QB
1. The same ?
2. Better?
3. Worse ?

Don’t answer that as I already know the correct answer. So why would we expect a novice QB with 7 games experience to = a HOF QB with 15 years experience. #12 would’ve been lucky to win 8 games with this roster both O n D
I’m not suggesting that we should expect Love to “equal” Rodgers. (Nor do I know that anyone has suggested that should be the case)

You can disregard Rodgers entirely. Pretend that he never existed and never quarterbacked the Packers. That doesn’t have any bearing on Love’s ability (or lack thereof) to read the game and make decisions accordingly.

Not saying this is what you’re doing here but it’s discouraging that it often seems like any criticism of Love is met with a rebuttal that ultimately seems to amount to “Rodgers wasn’t that good last year”.

You're right, Rodgers didn't/couldn't make the playoffs with this team. Shoot, this year he couldn't even stay on the field with the Jets. None of that makes Love a quarterback that's going to amount to something though. Maybe he will, but I have yet to see whatever it is that convinces me he will. We know he's stoic, he's got that going for him.

Well, I was going to say something about as boken clock being right twice a day, but then this offense shows how bad they can be.

With some of these throws this guy makes, I just doubt how good he can be?

I don’t think our O is very good. Mostly because of inexperience thiugh.

I could care less about Rodgers

Well, you’re the one that brought him into that conversation in the first place, no? lol.

I don’t think our O is very good either. But I am not sure how much longer (and/or how far) that can be used as an excuse.

l listened to this game and it was a slop fest of inexperience. 100 yards penalties and loads of dropped passes. Very few QBs can overcome that, but rarely will a first season starter erase the mistakes across an entire team.

On the plus side, we will have a high first round draft pick. Hopefully we draft an average college QB who will sit out for 3 years learning the offense and perfecting his skills only to start in year 4 and stink up the joint.
Love wasn't the problem today. The problem is the OL and DROPS.
