Studs - Rodgers, Jones Doubbs

Duds - BOTH 1st round draft picks

Refs - For missing an obvious horse collar tackle after Dillon almost got his ankle broken

Whole damn team - For being weak again when when of our guys got taken out or cheap shoted. Milano should've left the stadium on crutches!

Studs: Jones, Toure, I'd say Dillion, because after that tackle, most guys would've been been done for at least a game. Doubs was definitely better today and was definitely a Stud in my book.

Duds: defense, they were lucky that BUF didn't light them up at times. And letting them get a big play before the end of the half made me want to throw everything in reach.

Studs: RB
Who says we can’t run the ball again?? RB room was fantastic!
208 yards against the #1 rated Rushing Defense in the NFL!!!
Well they won’t be #1 after that!

Offense for mostly calling a really good game plan I thought. Great ball control which is exactly how I would’ve played it. Maybe could’ve run it more that first drive when we reached their 45 yard line 1st n 10 instead of taking the usual Sack. That’s 4 down territory if you get >5 yards in 3 tries. Then it’s likely 3 points minimum if you convert and get another set of downs inside the 35 yard line.
-398 yards of Offense on the #1 Defense gets a B+ (for superb effort!)

Dud: Walker
Barry and this pathetic Run Defense

D as a whole got a C grade.
Very uninspiring

Guys we were outmanned. The Bills are a very good, well rounded team and we were playing in there house.
Yet considering we were down 2 WR’s starting 2 OL‘s and lost another early on? I though this Offense deserved kudos. I believe our Offense would’ve scored another 3 or 7 on that last drive had our D held them to 20 or 24 points, but took a FG needing 2 scores.
It was asking a lot but sooner or later the D needs to punch a good team in the mouth.

Studs: Toure, Doubs, Jaire, Jones.

Duds: Defense not Jaire. Gutey for putting the offense in this mess (I expect to hear them trading for a WR tomorrow). Barry - how does the run defense get worse with more talent? How does he not have Jaire on Diggs?

This has to be amongst the most frustrating seasons.

Do you know @Cornelius Weems that had we held Buffalo to your 24 points (3points at halftime) there’s a chance we play that last drive finish different and have a legit shot at an OT contest. That’s pretty decent considering our O was pretty banged up and missing 4 starters.

I'll be the one to say it. Aaron Rodgers was a stud tonight.

He tried his damnedest to execute the game plan that LaFleur drummed up for tonight. Unfortunately he couldn't do this in a game in which the Packers defense didn't give him a chance in the first half.

So many great decisions at the line of scrimmage to get the Packers into the best plays possible. And yes, that includes a lot of run solutions he checked into.

I've been critical of his play a lot this season, but tonight he was a stud in the role he tried to play.

They didn’t get beat to sleep. I had Buffalo hanging 40 on them. They still are 3-5 and not very good but meh

One of the biggest duds was the flag nullifying Tonyan’s TD. That extra 4 points would have been huge down the stretch.
That could have gone either way, good acting by the Bill defender but he used his hands for sure

Studs: A. Jones, AJ Dillon, Tonyan, AR, Doubs, Toure, Alexander, DL, MLF for FINALLY running the ball!
Duds: Safeties, 1st Half ILB's, those attempting to block Oliver (Tom, Meyers, Runyan)

Definitely out-gunned but GB at least showed some fight. Allen is tough to defend as he used his legs to negate solid D numerous times. Diggs/Davis/McKenzie hurt us at times but none of them completely smoked our DB's ~ that is the best WR group in the league, IMHO, & our CB's played decently.

Few observations:

-Emotionally Undisciplined is the word to describe our defense. Jaire is slowly becoming a diva-punk, Quay shoving someone literally who did nothing, Kenny Clark twice after the whistle should have been flagged and thankfully wasn't....I love a defense with an edge, but we are just a ball of emotions wound so tight it is impacting us with flags. THAT aspect must stop.

-Rodgers was much more an encourager last night to the young guys...I think even he realized he overstepped some and has to lead not just be that *****y boss up in his office.

-Enagbare is going to become something solid for us outside.

-Dillon looked like he had his 2021 leg burst back last night. Dear lord that man can move people when he has it.

-Jones is playing himself into a situation where I concur with @captainWIMM this team will need to figure out a way to restructure or extend him, while we cannot pay his contract for next year as it sits, I don't envision us wanting to lose him....out of the guys familiar to Rodgers with expiring contracts (Lewis, Tonyan, Lazard, Cobb) Jones by far is the most lethal to not lose.

-Deguara being more involved was a good thing for this offense, and I wonder if that was somewhat influenced by Rodgers frustrations?

-Savage needs benched. Problem is we picked up his 5th year option and it just is dumb to cut him...he should be our most expensive back up on the D side of things though.

I'll limit me to three each

My Studs:

-Jones, Doubs, Dillon

My Duds:

-Savage, Quay for his BONE HEAD decision, our two minute offense

The offense did a great job running the ball against the Bills. If they can keep that up for the remainder of the season I feel way more optimistic about the unit.

Unfortunately they have struggled against weaker competition in that area so far this season though.

We didn't lose as badly as I thought we would, but that's a hollow victory at best. The running game was encouraging. Because the NFC is clearly weaker than the AFC this season, the #7 seed still isn't out of the question. There's a decent chance that whoever gets it will go 9-8. So we really need to aim to go at least 6-3 the rest of the way.

Studs: Preston Smith. He is easily our most consistent and productive player on defense. pushes pockets on pass rush and has been very good against the run. I know he missed Allen once, but he regularly outruns ILB's and DB's too, so I'm not going to get after preston too much for just missing on 1 play in a game he was very steady and productive in otherwise.

Jaire made some plays. After that? some good play, but too many holes overall on defense.
I'd say Rodgers played a really good game all things considered. A. Jones and AJ Dillon both were running hard and were very productive against a really good defense. Doubs with a couple great catchs and Toure making a good read and getting in the endzone for the first time. Not a stud overall, but the first one is the toughest and he deserves a bit of recognition.

Duds? Rasul early, Quay Walker, Tom, Savage. Injuries and penalties.

Savage has been a real disappointment. Way too much talent there to be this unproductive week after week. last night on many of the big plays he looked like he was playing half to 3/4 speed is all. He's one of the holes on defense that makes them struggle at times.

Walker has to keep it together. There's playing with edge and then just having no control over emotions or reactions. There was nothing done to warrant that reaction and it hurt us.

Rasul got beaten big early a couple times and Tom couldn't even stand in the way in the first half. They seemed to clean some of it up in the 2nd.

It looked like communication of blocking assignments were ROUGH at first. They for certain cleaned that up as the game went though.

Imo, and I've noticed this for a couple of years now, is that Savage has only one talent. Running forward fast. He's slow changing directions, slow to react, can't tackle and has no propensity to create turnovers. To me, he's as useless as a third shoe. I've been whining, sniveling and complaining with angst for at least 6-8 years that mgmt needs to have that safety that believes that every ball that comes anywhere near him, belongs to him. Instead, our last two GM's have spent low 20 picks on two guys who had zero football instincts and were always weak spots on the defensive unit and contributed nothing to special teams.

Studs - both RB's, LaFleur/Rodgers (excellent run/pass mix), O-line/TE's run blocking was superb

Duds - Walker, Campbell, Savage, first half pass blocking on right side of o-line

Unfortunately they have struggled against weaker competition in that area so far this season though.
Because MLF, even though he KNEW he should, never firmly committed to the run as he did last night. From the 1st series of the Minnesota opener the run/pass ratio should've been 67%/33% throughout the game. MLF knew the offense would go through the run-game and until last night didn't commit to it. Don't care if the opposing D knows the run is coming, stopping it is another matter. IF the OL knows they're expected to bully the DL's regularly they'd enter the game with a more "angry" mindset, IMHO.

Running 40x per game I think we'd see AR much more efficient & productive with his 20 passes/game, also.
