I agree. You never know what the draft is going to bring you and you can't make draft for need.

If you look at Walter football mock draft, the have 3 OTs in the top 10. None are named Alt or Olu. Walter football is usually ahead of the concensus this time of year and more often than you would expect, the rest of the pundits will have their mocks looking similar in March.

That is to say, there are up to 10 OTs who may be thought of as first round
Grades before all is said and done. The likelihood of one representing great value and BPA is fairly high in the first 3 rounds.

I have zero objections on taking an LT with either of our seconds or trading back up into the 1st with both seconds, a second + a third, whatever. I also wouldn't mind spending our 1st on a LT if we're picking around 20.

One thing that impressed me about Love is his command of various plays with movement. He’s good at the fakes and selling confusion. That play with Musgraves TD was a thing of beauty down to ball placement.

Musgrave looks so fluid. Once that kid is fully up to speed and we get him in motion he’s going to damage Defenses.
And that is a play during his first year that you try when we are in an advantageous position like a lead late in the game in opponents territory. If you botch it up you have a lot less to use. Try that back around our 20 on 3rd down in the 2nd quarter and anything can happen.

Dobbs was starting in AZ( although he wasn't real good there). Was traded to the queens.
But still when you go right to a new team and do not know the offense or the receivers it can become a school yard game. Which it did.

Notice how Yosh finally gets a start at LT and goes down shortly after kickoff.

Some of you guys just don’t want him to succeed. Just Admit it.
haha...I want him to succeed. The Packers don't have anyone else right now. The jury is still out, though. I see good things and then I see terrible decisions and bad throws. Yesterday he did better. Hopefully he can build on that.

wish people could understand that game time experience takes time for some players

I suspect Love knows the playbook very well . He needs this season to learn and grow

some qb can do it right way for what ever reason. Some need a season

many qb now needed time to get good

Do not forget that Carr was out briefly and Winston had to fill in. Had a bit to do with how we got our 2nd victory.

I sort of agree but for different reasons. OT is a still a “premier position” As like most drafts it will depend on who’s left on our pick. Gutey isn’t afraid to pass on a position if he’s forced to reach. LT in particular is a premium position where that top5-10 go a little earlier than they are typically boarded. Much like what happened at WR in the 2022 draft it was like a Walmart, Black Friday, WR stampede.
I guess what I’m saying is it’s a precarious position to draft because of increased demand. However reaching in Round 2 or 3 is a great deal different than reaching using a top 10 or top 14 pick. Personally I have no problem moving into that top 40 area or back part of Day 1 for a bonafide top 50 OT
I have to believe that teams will be clamoring for offensive linemen and QB's in next years draft. It's pretty much a mess out there league wide. Scoring is noticeably down I'd guess.
