Studs: OL, Campbell, Quadfather
Duds: Really not any. Yiadom had 2 PI's I think.

Special + shoutout to the officials for swallowing their whistles. I think they were cold and wanted it to go quickly.
Sure was glad we didn't get the flag-happy crew. I think they officiated the Dallas/AZ game.:)

Speaking of refs, did the official who had to leave the game early ever come back? could that have had something to do with the looser calls? too much for everyone to watch?

It let the lines on both sides play looser which announcers discussed how they were doing their five man set up was going to possibly do that.

How about that Mason Crosby?
He even showed his veteran confidence on a poor snap.

Mason is 3/3 FG from salvaging a tough season and matching his 2009 totals.
48/49 XPM
75% FG made
64.1 KickOffAvg (career long)

Studs:

The Vikqueens for loading up a pile of :poop: for all of us to see

12/17 - This was an orchestra of domination

Dillon and Jones - Thunder and lightning all over the purple leftovers

Kelly and Runyan - pancakes anyone?

Duds:

Antonio Brown - gotta cut down on the meltdowns in New Jersey, I gave mine up for lent and festivus.

Home field and the best record in 3 years for any coach in NFL history. Enough said - now go get the trophy that belongs here!

Studs
Rodgers - almost 300 yards passing after a slow start and sitting most of the 4th quarter
Jones - over 100 yards total yards from scrimmage
Dillon - doing the dirty work and going freight train mode a few times (last TD was impressive)
Adams - great performances from this man are commonplace. 11 catches for 136 yards has become routine. People, this is special. Do not take this for granted.
Lazard - several tough catches in traffic, great downfield blocking and love the man's attitude. Very smart. You should watch some of his press engagements.
OL - Pretty clean night for AR and run blocking was excellent
Campbell - 7 solo tackles and an assist
Clark - beat several double teams, biggest reason for holding Cook to 13 yards. Mannion had more rushing yards than Cook. Who would have taken that bet?
Gary - in Mannion's grill all night and protected his edge much better than in recent games
Rest of D - defied the recent trend of making second string QB's look great
Crosby - seems to have gotten his groove back. Even overcame that horrific hold on the first FG.

Duds
Love - sorry but have to point this out. I get all the conditions working against him last night, but he still looks tentative and lacks confidence. He was 2/4, but the 2 misses on 15 yard outs were bad. He is not driving the ball. He has the arm strength, but is not committing to his throws. Same issues in his one start earlier this year. He has another chance to impress against Detroit. He needs to capitalize.
Bojo - botched hold and worst punt of the season, sheesh
I'll withhold judgment until Love has actually played a couple of seasons. I still remember all the hate for the Rashan Gary and Dillon draft picks, before they had ever played.

Xavier Woods trying to go toe to toe with Dillon at 2 yard line on Dillons 7 yard TD run!
.
Not sure why this made me chuckle?!
He ended up getting hit hard by several players as he was pushed out of the way like a rag doll. Then proceeded to hold his arm writhing in pain.Who said the cold doesn’t hurt?!

That poor Vikings Defense looked absolutely exhausted. I’ve not seen a Mike Zimmer Defense just get throttled in awhile.

Dud:
Dalvin Cook
9 rushes for 13 yards! 1.4 average.
3 Receptions- 0 Yards
1.1 per touch in 12 touches

Only seen first half & special teams were good. Compared to where they were last few weeks they appear to have turned a corner & if not great at least good

Great point about Cook. Lowest output of the year in a game where he needed to carry the load without their starting quarterback. And tied his lowest number of carries in a game all year. I don't understand why they didn't use him more, especially in the beginning of the game before we started to pull away. He is a very good back that should have been given more opportunity. He's had games this year with 30+ touches.

I'm not talking about the wisdom of the Love draft pick, only his performance thus far. He has had two years learning from one of the best and should be showing us more when he gets the opportunity. I know he did not get any game time in year 1, but he got 4 starts this year including preseason. Compare him to others in his draft class - guys like Burrow, Hurts and Herbert - who were thrown into starting roles right from the jump. If he wants to be an NFL starter, he has to show it sometime. I hope he shows us more on Sunday when he will get another shot.

I saw Rogers play back in 2008 & the fact he wasn't Favre was held against him. Not saying Love is the next great QB but I do remember the hate to Rogers as he wasn't Favre
You remember correctly. I didn't hate Rodgers, but will man up and admit I didn't care for the pick. I was living in Nor Cal when Rodgers was QB at Cal and I hated his form. He'd hold the ball up high, right next to the ear hole on his helmet. It messed with his release. But it was good enough for Cal. Anyone who expected Rodgers to go at #1 were nuts smith was the guy.

Ancient and incorrect history. Rodgers falls off a cliff and TT grabs him. I think he broke his foot in an early preseason game, and when he took over they went 6-10. Although Cap has pointed out they had the #5 offense in Rodgers' first year, just a lousy D. And then in 2009 I think he just exploded. Wasn't that the year they lost to the Cards in the playoffs with both teams scoring 50 plus points. I know they lost on a Rodgers fumble, but the guy had arrived. And then two years later he's holding the Lombardi and the SB MVP.

So it's best not to judge. Eventually we'll have to give Love a chance to prove himself (or maybe not if Rodgers stays for another 3 years). Now even people who liked Rodgers could not have envisioned the phenom he has become. Yeah call Brady the GOAT for his rings, that's fine. But I'm 67 now and have seen a lot of great QBs. I'd take Rodgers over all of them.

Good point. Burrows is one of the top 5 candidates for MVP. He won't get it this year, but still..... Herbert is great, he needs stronger players around him. And what about Jones in NE? So yeah, the put up or shut up window for Love will be short. Now if Rodgers stays for another three years, Love may demand a trade. Fine with me.

Forced to play as you are the man from the get go is different to sitting behind the starter. You have to learn quickly & people will give you the benefit of the doubt as everyone knows QB is a difficult position to play. You have to learn the play book & then build up chemistry with your receivers & backs & O line. Didn't Rogers take what was effectively Favre's Oline out for a meal to get to know them & them to get to know him? love doesn't have that option at the moment. Onvc Rogers is gone either retired or cut for cap reasons Love or someone else will have to step up

I think this patchwork OL is doing well largely because of Rodgers. He's intentionally getting passes out quickly and that helps the OL stats. Gonna need Turner and Myers back for the playoffs, and ideally Bakh (actually it would be better if all or some of them took snaps against Detroit). The OL did hold their own in the run game. Not as good as the regular guys, but good enough to make the running game legit.

I hope we have Rodgers for another three years. Likely back to back MVPs at 38? Unreal. Look at Roethlesberger. He's done at the same age.

You're calling a foul on my personal opinion and then labeling me as a "hater"? Nice convo. Plus you didn't address any of the specific points I made. The truth remains that Love needs to do a better job of capitalizing on his opportunities, whatever form they take. I want him to succeed and after two years as an understudy to one of the game's best, I expect better than to throw two 15 yard out patterns at the receivers' feet.
I just went back and looked at those two plays. They were both safe throws, which is probably exactly what MLF wants in that situation. And he didn't throw either one of those at the receivers' feet. The first one to Winfree hit the ground a yard and a half beyond where he was. It was thrown around his knee level and well ahead of the defenders. The one to MVS was led to the sideline but nowhere near "at his feet." Both throws were placed where only the receiver had a chance at it. No way in hell those throws make him a "dud."

Amazing what watching the tape does.

Plays happen so fast & we only get the view offered by TV company or if you are there the view from your seat.

Only in replay & possibly slow motion can we see what happened. I have seen flags thrown & no idea why until see the replay & then I see the hold or facemask or whatever the reason for the flag in real time I missed it.

No one likes bad calls, but the refs make some incredibly accurate calls in real time. To your point, they see things I'd never see in regular time. Yeah they make mistakes, that's part of the game and I think it evens out over time. Now there are some horrendous calls, like the missed PI call against the Rams that sent them to the SB instead of the Saints, but game changing bad call like that are rare. (And in the Rams case, maybe bad karma as they lost in the SB anyway.) They tried allowing challenges on PI and it just didn't work and slowed the game down too much.
