"(The Rams) are almost on par (with Seattle) as far as defense," one of the scouts said. "I'd have to give Seattle the nod for the better overall front seven, they have the linebackers and everything. But (the Rams) will beat you up so you're limping into the next week. That's what a lot of teams in the league are worrying about."

Fisher's teams have always played a very physical game. Even going back to his days in Tennessee, he didn't have the most talented teams, but they would hit you in the mouth. I expect another battle on Sunday.

I haven't posted in aloooong time ,cancer treatments will do that doing good though .I just would like to say rams always have a good d-line good players, but we have a very good q.b. and this year a d-line that will help us win games 49 eras game showed that may not be high scoring but our defense was able to get a very fast q.b look at Wilson we got after him our online can let us down gives us fans fits but Arod will make some slick plays you have Foles not saying he isn't good but like your dline ours will make yours make mistakes as well,I like our chances and I will say 34-14 in favor of the pack.

Davante Adams and Morgan Burnett have been downgraded to doubtful for tomorrow's game.

LaDarius Gunter (heel) and Sam Shields (toe) have been added to injury report with both being probable.

You say things that are untrue and when I point them out, you just move to the next list. I'm not interested in discussing this game with you.

I have no issue with smack talk but you're playing a game I'm not interested in.

i really truly LOL when I read this post.

The "game" that he is not interested in is called, "Reality".

Is Abbrederis on your active roster this week? I so wanted the Rams to draft him.

Abbrederis is on the active roster. There's no doubt he's a talented receiver with him being able to stay healthy being a huge question mark. He missed all of last season with a torn ACL and nearly all of camp this year with a concussion. The Packers cut him at the end of camp but promoted him to the 53 last week. He didn't play a single snap last week though while being active vs. the Niners.

You absolutely edited my statements to reverse their meaning. This is why, again, I'm out of the debate till game time. I'm not going to stoop to debating my own edited words. Have at them.

Actually this hasn't been a debate at all. A debate is when both sides bring evidence to support their claims.

Sorry to make you stoop down from your higher level.

Here's to a good game with no injuries.

Wilde has a column about Aaron Donald and the middle of the Rams DL. The subtitle is: "Keeping the pocket clean against interior rushers is key to the Packers’ protection approach, and the Rams have the players to disrupt that."
“I remember watching his (Donald's) first couple games and it was really impressive,” Rodgers said Wednesday, as he and the Packers offense prepped to face Donald and the Rams impressive front on Sunday at Lambeau Field. “And he just keeps on getting better. He had an incredible year last year, and he’s an impact player inside.” And the fact that Donald – along with fellow defensive tackle Michael Brockers – can have an impact inside could make the Packers’ protection of Rodgers Sunday problematic.

I expect Linsley and Lang to double team Donald all game long and actually like their chances. Sitton should be able to block Brockers one-on-one. Quinn and Long will be able to get pressure off the edges (even if Bulaga returns who will be rusty I guess) but Rodgers has been able to deal with it in other games this season.

Is it safe to post again? With all that fluffing going on i was starting to feel dirty just clicking on this thread. I think i missed 8 pages of it.

anyway, I think our interior will be more up to the task this week. I hope Bulaga is back and not just by having his body out there, but playing at a higher level. That's a lot to ask, I know, and realistically I expect a lot of pressure from the edges if we don't get our run game going. Though I don't like the outside pressure as long as that middle is not getting walked back, Rodgers will find a place to slide to and still throw the ball.

You have said stats don't mean anything but have used pff to prove a player is the best this year.

So what has he said that his untrue?

If some one says stuff about me that is untrue I would supply evedince to show why the are wrong

I'm just not interested in a pissing contest on a forum where I am an occasional guest. It's a no win. My new position is to just go into ignore mode when an opposing fan crosses from debate to false attack.

I'll let my words and his stand for themselves.

Stats and rankings aren't the entire picture and can even be the opposite. Out of context they are meaningless and deceiving.

The Rams D is average? Not according to anyone anywhere who has watched or played against them. Yet they rank in the middle of the pack. I have already explained why. Someone can consider what I've said or just keep repeating the rankings. The game STILL will be played Sunday and the reality will come out.

I was quoting an article about Donald and even linked to it. IN context, that we are just finishing our hardest part of the schedule this week, his stats are badass. The best of any D lineman this season. Even those with much easier schedules. If I just said look at his stats, and they were great, but we had played weak teams, that would be using them to deceive people.

I'd rather just let it go until after the game. Or, anyone who WANTS to false debate and to be called out for editing my comments and using them out of context to skew my meaning can come to my house where I won't get booed down.

He didn't edit your words, and the meaning is the same. You saw what you said, and realized how over the the top you sounded. So now your trying to save face.

I saw at least two post where you said implied you don't expect a win, yet when asked you say Rams win. Either you don't think they win or they win..stop flip flopping.

Yes, he did, and it's there for all to see. This is why I would rather let it go. I can't win, he is a member here and if I make him look bad, I will just be piled on for doing it. It's not my first rodeo. If he wants to stand up for his comments and call me out, he knows where to find me. Let it go, please.

I also honestly don't want to dirty up your game thread with bickering. I came to talk football, not bicker.

Let me be perfectly clear in my prediction since I appear to have left the waters murky:

IF the Rams are who I THINK they are, from my observations, and everyone is healthy and starting, Rams can win this game. I think they are rolling into town with a huge chip on their shoulder and the talent to back it up. Of course, I could totally be wrong. No one has seen this full team yet. Judging this OC, QB, O-Line, RB1, and WR1 based on their first games is meaningless. My prediction is based on what I am very confident they can do when they get it together and they will need to have it together to win this game.

Congrats on the treatments doing good. I'm so tired of hearing about people having to battle cancer. We have to do better at curing/preventing it. God willing, we will end that disease soon. Rams On Demand just did a fundraiser in conjunction with LLS and the Rams at the opening game. The Rams FO did us proud in their assistance. 80 people from around the nation showed from our site donating with every ticket purchase and the Rams donated discounted tickets, field passes, memorabilia and advertising along with a spot in the dome to auction off the items. Kevin Demoff, the GM, even dropped by the fund raiser web site and donated out of his pocket. That dude is all class.

Then they took us on the field after the game. That day was the best football experience of my life. Just as amazing and touching as it could possibly be.

I agree, GB could give Foles a lot of trouble. If the Rams can't get the running game going, GB's pass rush could become a real issue. Foles is actually really good at moving in the pocket to avoid the sack. People like to say he's a statue but they are wrong. He's the reason this new o line hasn't given up more than the 6 sacks. He just won't do much outside of the pocket. If he is forced to throw off balance, it can get ugly.

34 points on the Rams though? I can almost guarantee that isn't even within the realm of possibilities. That would be more offensive scoring than Seattle and Steelers combined.

To clarify, we do better against bigger backs because our DL can clog the lane and make the play. We will miss Tree in the passing game, but in the run game I don't think it'll hurt too much because I'm not sure he could bring Lacy down anyways.

Uhhhh, no. Just no. Tree missed the majority of last game and is STILL 3rd in the NFL in tackles. Tree, this season, was just killing it.

That's my take too. Losing Ogletree will definitely hurt the Rams run defense.

Rams player dressing up as Clay Matthews in practice :roflmao:

Maybe we should get the whole D line dress up as Clay and confuse the heck outta them!

And here I was thinking they were doing it for the girls.

I'm not playing this game. You're the moderator so I will give examples and then I'm done with this subject.

"J Jenkins is among the NFL elite... He WILL shut down any receiver..." Edited to change the meaning.

"Cook could be a massive star..." Edited to change the meaning. THIS ACTUALLY came from my list of Rams WEAKNESSES.

Then he says:

our RBs are not the best in the league

Never said the Rams were.

our best RB is not better than all the other RBs in the league

Never said he was.

But, according to you, your team has all those things?

Nope, never said them or they were edited to change their intent.

I did this because you asked and you run a nice place here. I'm done with this subject.

Understood. I just find it to be strange.

Typically, a link is all that is needed to point readers to something interesting. At times, a specific quote or post is cut-and-pasted from one forum to another--this happens all the time, but.... an entire thread? And then the mod who does this updates it each day or so as more postings become available. Odd.

Just in case that moderator decides to add this post to his collection: Hey, all Ram fans! How are you doing? ::waves::

 You just guaranteed yourself a copy and paste.

Odd? I never thought so. It's a spark to get the conversation going and to make fun of uninformed opinions, all good natured of course. We link news and things, but we also copy and paste the article. ROD is a one stop shop for all things Rams without needing to go all over the net.

We even have players stop by for chats and FO people. Local reporters drop in and post their articles and answer questions. We try to keep the place classy, which is why they ************ here ;).

Better than Lockette from seattle? Packers held him in check. Granted was only 2 pr but only punting 3 times is benefit of having an efficient offense

Too soon to tell. Lockett burned us game one and passes the eye test. Dude is a smooth runner and can accelerate out of trouble.

Right now no one will punt to TA, 5 PRs to Locketts 12, and TA still has over twice the PR average, 23 YPR to 11, and same 1 TD with a 75 yard long compared to Lockett's 57.

Still, TA is a vet. I like Lockett a lot.

This is a great article!* Love that stat mining!*

*if you want to know what a person who knows absolutely nothing about the Rams thinks. He actually said THIS: "Austin also has the longest run at 16 yards." AHHHHHaHaHaHa! Seriously, who is that moron? Austin doesn't even have the longest run AMONGST WRs! Do you guys read him? No way.

We have a reporter like that named Bernie, and he is almost universally scorned. Wait, are Bernie and @PFanCan collaborating on articles now?

@longtimefan - You know, side note, you should get with our site owner. We have some really cool features like betting forum dollars on games in sportsbook that are earned on the site.

I LOVE your feature where it's not just a "like" but several choices.
