So I had a few beers last night and it sounds like I was hating on the Bucs a little. Lol that being said... I do believe in second chances and people do change so I won’t put Fournette in the same category as Brown. IMO Brown shouldn’t even be in the league. Look at what he’s done the past few years. He’s had some pretty serious charges. The guy has been given 9 lives due to talent alone. He’s just a bad person period.

It did sound like you were hating on the Bucs. Hope my comment didn't come off as to assholish. I can see where people would have problems with Brown being in the league.

Many of us have always said King is not nearly as bad as everyone claims...and we've also pointed out while his tackling is not great, he is always willing to put his body into ANY one.

King is a slightly below average starting corner. He's had one good season and even that wasn't great, just good. He's taken a big step back this year.

Just stop. King is of starting caliber for over half the teams in the league. I think Jaire makes many of you way undersell what King is.

He has flaws for sure, but the dude is EASILY a starting #2 CB on nearly every team.

:roflmao::roflmao::roflmao: He's currently the 82nd ranked corner at PFF. Now, argue against their grades while also agreeing that they are correct with Jaire being #1.

How quickly we forget about draft choices like Damarious Randall (Rd 1) and Quentin Rollins (Rd 2). King holds his own, and paired with Alexander, makes a pretty good set of corners. King is not Alexander, but he's certainly not declining. If there's a rap one him it's injury history.

We'll find out how valuable he is because he won't be here next year, he'll be a cap casualty along with Linsley. Anyway, sometimes we forget how far we've come, or how bad things were in the secondary.

And Ha Ha was like the #2 graded Saftey the year we shipped him out.

I was just typing that as I saw your comment. PFF grading is a great thing to observe, and especially view over years...but just like truly look at some of the rankings you'll see players given on Sunday when lineups are shown....it doesn't always pass the smell test as I call it.

Nope, I'm hoping it's Alexander. He covered him on over 70% of the snaps in week 6 and held him to 1 target and zero catches.

Pretty sure Sullivan will be on Godwin in the slot while King will be on Brown. Plus, Evans is the big play guy and I absolutely don't trust King not to give up 7 catches for 150+ yards
You make good points. Still think King should be on him close to the goal line. We gotta keep our poise. They will be physical. Really looking forward to the game!

I'd certainly prefer that he stay, but where are they gonna get the money? Now I'm assuming that they keep Jones. If that doesn't happen and he walks, then yeah, maybe they can keep Linsley.

Your thoughts?

Thanks for posting it.

I agree that King is fearless. But he's a terrible tackler. He throws his shoulder and routinely misses guys.

Yeah I'm not sure why people are saying he's being told by the coaches to do that in order to preserve his shoulder.

Because with his arms held in, his shoulder is not in as vulnerable of a position, that’s why.

I can believe that his tackling technique is due to injury (whether he currently has one or is trying to avoid one). But regardless of why he does it, it's led to him being a really unreliable tackler.

So let’s say he is avoiding tackling to protect a surgically repaired shoulder or other upper area.

would you still say the rest of his game is bad?

Yeah. His coverage is the bigger problem, in my opinion, not his tackling.

He's been a super high variance player in the past-- making great plays, but allowing bad ones. This year it's less of the former, but basically no change regarding the latter. If he isn't creating turnovers, then he's basically just an easy completion for the offense in most games.

I actually like Joe Buck as well. I don't get the hate tbh.

Joe Buck got a lot of deserved criticism in the past for being a monotonous drone who failed to convey the excitement of the game. The perfect example is his call of the David Tyree catch. He's improved a lot since then.

That's a tough one but it sure doesn't look like they can keep both. I hate to see Jones go, but the longevity of a RB is a lot less than a C. I'd reluctantly keep Linsley, especially if we can keep Williams and AJ continues to improve. Tough call after all the production we've gotten from Jones.

Practice injury list is awesome...limited but guys like Dillon, Crosby, Keke, Barnes....had zero DNP

Brown and Pierre-Paul both were DNPs for Buccs.
