Just put $50 on Tampa to win outright at my local sports book. First time I have EVER laid money down on a sporting event (other than $1 on the NCAA tournament pool someone at my employment would always run). That is how certain I am.

I am not a tightwad, except when it comes to gambling. Many years ago the sales rep of one of our vendors held a little “thank you” get together at our local casino (just drinks, sandwiches, et.). I won a roll of quarters in a drawing to be used in the slot machines. I couldn’t even gamble with “free” money. I ended up giving it to my daughter, who was in college, to use for doing her laundry.

This is a lead pipe cinch. Easy money!

It probably won’t be a blowout, but I can see a 10-14 point Tampa win, or yet another last minute come-from-behind drive by Brady.

It's "a lead pipe lock"

Elaborate upon what provides you with such confidence?

Has anyone mentioned the fact that the Bucs have had to travel the past 3 weeks and 5 out of the past 6? This has to be another advantage.

LOL, so you're simply riding his bag that hard?? C'mon, a Packer fan could elaborate upon items which places Buccs with favorable outcomes possibly.
Brady and Tampa are in Rodgers and the Packers heads from the regular season beat down. They will be tight, and playing not to lose. Rodgers will go away from what got them where they are by trying to force balls and throw the home run instead of taking what the defense gives him in order to “make up” for his poor play in Week 6. He will press too hard and it will backfire. Meanwhile Tampa will run the ball and Brady will pick our weak front 7 apart with short passes (thanks to our defense not being able to pressure him).

Should the Packers somehow manage to have a lead in the 4th quarter, they are going to do what every other team does....crap their pants out of fear of Brady, go conservative, and let Brady pull out the win.

Quote from Rodgers today: "Definitely thankful to be back here. A lot of people didn't think we'd be back here after last season. We got a lot of interesting comments last year about us being the worst 13-3 team that people had seen. Not the same type of comments this [time]. Obviously we're clicking a lot better on offense, I do feel really thankful to be back here, thankful for the chance to be playing."

So now we know Rodgers reads this forum.

Tramon Williams..worked out for Packers today..expected to sign if all is good.
Actually I don't like this being able to sign people so late. Some day it will really get ridiculous. A final date should be made. imo

Pretty sure he was probably referring more to buzz on Twitter

Can't get much more ridiculous than signing someone before the conference championship game. There's only one game left after that. Who is TB going to cut on Monday that the Packers can sign.

I'm just curious as to why you think this way. Other than getting ridiculous what is wrong with it.

I'm fine with having to pick up Devin White and Mike Evans on Monday. :coffee:

It's the showdown of the season, the Buccaneers with Tom Brady has made it to the NFC Championship game. But it's coming to our house in frigid Green Bay. You know the Bucc's have a curse on them when playing in weather below freezing. Its our time to return to the Big Show, known as the Super Bowl. All I want to be sure of is that the Bucc's chances of moving on to the Super Bowl stops here in Green Bay, THE BUCC'S STOP HERE. GO PACKERS !!

Tramon Williams? How old is he, eighty?

One of my top 50 Packer plays of all times. I think this almost cemented that game, one that nobody really gave the Packers a chance in hell to win.

Yup. I think I am in the minority when it comes to enjoying Joe Bucks call of a game. Can't wait to hear his voice on Sunday!

The Packers offense scored zero points in the first half vs. the Falcons in the 2016 NFCCG. They were definitely partly responsible for the game being lost in a blowout.

I don't remember the exact rating but I believe Rodgers had a 115 qb rating when the team was down 17-0. Yeah the offense didn't score in first half, but that wasn't on Rodgers. Ripkowski fumbled at the 15 and Crosby missed a kick.

I don't like getting a championship that way. By ridiculous someday; I mean some hall of fame type players are going to be let go and then a team can sign them for a small amount of money so they can win a championship. To me, it will cheapen the accomplishment. You have a team. Play with it and win. Injuries are part of the game and being able to replace them like this. Well, it is like or worse than baseball.

If that’s the case then Tampa Bay was definitely way in over they heads by beating the Saints last weekend.
