I would guess that Pettine will attempt to formationally bait them into do something similar on Sunday.

I hope so! The Bucs running game doesn't scare me at all, but their ability to line up with 4+ legit receiving weapons does.

I think we will see a lot of 12 personnel out of them, and if Pettine stays in dime, as he tends to prefer, they will run a lot.

Their aim will probably be to formation them into base defense and then spread it out and pass. I think Pettine is better off just taking his licks in the running game than having Preston Smith trying to cover Gronk down the field.

By DVOA (and other metrics), Brady is among the worst QB's in the league when under pressure.

You have to be careful blitzing because he's seen it all, and he can burn you.

But I do think it would be rational to take all the 3 man rush calls, push them on one sheet, burn said sheet to ash, dissolve said ashes in water, have some sort of animal drink said water, kill said animal, and bury it somewhere in the wilds of Wisconsin.
I can't remember where I saw the statistic, but there was a graphic of Brady's passer rating when under pressure and how it's altered over the past few years. For a long time, Brady was among the league best as far as passer rating under pressure, but that has taken a serious nose dive.

I'm not sure where to find that information though. Wanting to say though that it's dropped like 40 or 50 points over that 4 year period. And it was a steady, consistent drop.

I haven't seen that specifically, but I have seen a lot of similar metrics.

For instance, this one from Aaron Schatz. Pressure is effecting Brady much more drastically than the other remaining QB's.

Regarding the run game, the scheme that the Packers struggle against the most is the wide zone. So, SF, Minny, Rams, heck, it’s what we run. The good news? None of the remaining teams in the playoffs run that scheme! This isn’t to say we’re good against the run, but that is fortunate.

Couple other interesting things I’ve seen. Tom Brady has been better against man coverage than zone coverage by a fair margin. Tom Brady obviously struggles under pressure.

Pettine’s scheme is actually a good fit against what Arians likes to run comparative to, say, McVay or Shanahan. Brady and Arians have been hitting the deep ball well. We’re #good against the deep ball.

Is it bad that when I was watching the Saints-Bucs game, I was quietly cheering to myself during every injury timeout? :D When Brown limped to the sidelines and started fiddling with his knee, I was ecstatic. Who knows if AB would have had a big game against the Packers, but this is one less guy they need to worry about doing just that.

Sadly he still scares the crap out of me.

Same.

“Pressure him” has always been the recipe. Maybe it's an even more effective recipe now than ever before.

But it’s never been easy to actually make happen, and it isn't this season either.

In 2020, he has absurdly combined two metrics into one reality:

Average Time to Throw: 2.57 (3rd fastest among full time starters)

Intended Air Yards per Target: 9.3 (1st among full time starters)

So he is among the fastest in the league at getting the ball out, and yet he's still targeting further downfield than just about anyone. That's not fair.

What a freaking jerk.

Saw a pretty good breakdown on Twitter of a couple split zone run plays from the Packers' first game against the Bucs that were effective. They allowed the Linsley and others to get upfield and onto the linebackers quickly instead of trying to beat them to landmarks on the perimeter. I'd love to see more of that on Sunday. Neutralize their speed.

David and White are great, but they aren't going to be stacking and shedding blocks.

It's hard to imagine that he will be in game shape and ready to be impactful unless he's been 100% for a while and they've just been saving him.

It took Clark quite a while to get back to being himself even after he started playing again.

If I were coach for the day, I’d no huddle every time Vea is in. No huddle and tempo. Get the fat man tired.

Downside is you could go 3 and out really fast.

Meh..after being out since week 5 and only practicing a couple of days this week..he should have minimal impact. He's what 350 lbs..and standing on that ankle won't make it better!!

Arians is such an arrogant ****** with his kindergarten injury report!

Man, reading some of these articles and comment, you would think the Packers were the 2020 Jets. Talk about no respect from anyone..especially these Tampa homers! Geez..why even bother playing this game with our Mvp qb in our stadium in front of our fans? The Packers oline has neutralized the bares, rams, eagles and colts front seven..I am pretty sure they can to the bucs too!

I can guarantee that Tampa will commit alot more than zero penalties in this game

I think we'll see it at least a little bit.

But if he's rusty and ineffective, I bet they'll quite doing it. Why no huddle him off the field in that case?
