The key to beating Tampa is on the ground and stopping them on the ground. Obvious passing situations may perk Pettines ears up to blitz up the middle, because as we know Brady cannot move.

I just don't get it. You don't play the worse player more because of weather. That's like emphasizing Kumerow over Adams because Kumerow is bigger and will wear down the corners.

You want to hurt the dline and linebackers. I would prefer to gain more yards and score touchdowns.

If you think Kumerow is a true parallel thats hilariously off base and not close.

Packers offense should be fine against this defense. My main concern is the Packer's secondary against the receiving weapons on the Bucs. They have 2 elite receivers and 4 other receivers that contribute. This game is really going to test the corners, safeties, and pass rush. I only hope that Bruce Arians continues to do a terrible job coaching his team and continues with the run happy approach he's been using lately.
I'm hoping for some snow showers creating a wet surface. Compromise their ability to run great routes. It can be extremely difficult for players who aren't used to these specific weather conditions.

So does King go on Evans? At 6ft 5, he is pretty tall for Jaire. Especially around the goal line.

Exactly.

The Saints shut down the downfield stuff and Brady mostly sucked.
I will add that the Saints pass rush has been better than the Packer's pass rush this year and that has always been REALLY important against Brady.

Here's a couple more

The first TB game spiraled after Rodgers handed the Bucs 14 points in the space of 2 minutes.

Rodgers threw five interceptions on the season, and two of them came in that game, back to back.

So one has to believe one of two things:

1) That was a fluke.

or

2) The Bucs are uniquely suited to turn Rodgers over in a way no one else is.

Given that Bowles is not running some incredibly unique defense, and that they finished with 15 picks total (which is good, but not amazing), I'm going with door #1.

The Bucs just won the TO battle by +4 and only won by 10 points. Let's see what happens when the QB isn't giving them the ball on every other drive.

The Bucs won the TO battle in New Orleans on Sunday too. We cannot turn it over and give them a short field.

Do not underestimate the role of the officials in this game. The NFL just might want Mahomes vs Brady in the Super Bowl for the ratings. Good vs Evil. Young Bull vs Old Bull. People tuning in hoping to see Brady lose.

I don't believe the officials really care who wins these games but I find it hard to believe the league would balk at a Mahomes vs Rodgers SB either.

Thankfully, we have the MVP under center and not Drew Brees trying to loop balls into spots and hope his guys end up there.

In the JS Online podcast the other week, Tom Silverstein mentioned that in the 1996 or 1997 season, special teams were an issue heading into the playoffs so Holmgren ordered all of the coaches to pitch in and help out. According to Tom it made a huge difference.

ST's were a problem last time we won a super bowl too. I'm positive I have a post somewhere during that year proclaiming that ST's play was going to keep us from going far in the playoffs because at some point you need a good play to give you a spark or bury the other team and prevent a comeback and we were too bad to do that.

I think they played average to well during the playoffs and tried to give the steelers a good return once, but that was it. Needless to say, I was happy to be wrong.

He was good in 2016 against Atlanta, the defense just never gave him a shot.

The Packers offense scored zero points in the first half vs. the Falcons in the 2016 NFCCG. They were definitely partly responsible for the game being lost in a blowout.

We could lose Jaire and we could make do with King Sullivan and a more conservative application of Amos and Savage, more shading over the top on routes and less roaming.

In my opinion it would be devastating to lose Alexander and the Packers would struggle to adequately replace him, especially against an offense featuring that many talented receivers.

If I am not mistaken..in the first game..Bakh went out..so did Z Smith, Jaire,King, Davante, and Taylor? Burks ans Summers were the ilbs.

There's no reason to make things up. Alexander and Z played for most of the game and Barnes received the most snaps at inside linebacker against the Bucs in week 6.

And I will not back off that one either because last year's 49er team doesn't lose to the Bears or Rams like these guys did.

Don't forget that the Niners lost to the lowly Falcons last season.

I only hope that Bruce Arians continues to do a terrible job coaching his team and continues with the run happy approach he's been using lately.

The Bucs have thrown the ball on 60% of the offensive plays over their current six game winning streak.

It's the showdown of the season, the Buccaneers with Tom Brady has made it to the NFC Championship game. But it's coming to our house in frigid Green Bay. You know the Bucc's have a curse on them when playing in weather below freezing. Its our time to return to the Big Show, known as the Super Bowl. All I want to be sure of is that the Bucc's chances of moving on to the Super Bowl stops here in Green Bay, THE BUCC'S STOP HERE. GO PACKERS !!

Please do
Just put $50 on Tampa to win outright at my local sports book. First time I have EVER laid money down on a sporting event (other than $1 on the NCAA tournament pool someone at my employment would always run). That is how certain I am.

I am not a tightwad, except when it comes to gambling. Many years ago the sales rep of one of our vendors held a little “thank you” get together at our local casino (just drinks, sandwiches, et.). I won a roll of quarters in a drawing to be used in the slot machines. I couldn’t even gamble with “free” money. I ended up giving it to my daughter, who was in college, to use for doing her laundry.

This is a lead pipe cinch. Easy money!

It probably won’t be a blowout, but I can see a 10-14 point Tampa win, or yet another last minute come-from-behind drive by Brady.
