While OL is relatively stable going into next season, I think that it's one of the places where we are struggling. Zac Tom is our best player. Jenkins is doing okay, and the rest are just taking up space. Along with DL, LB, and DB, we really need to find some OL starters thinking ahead to 2026. If Monk and Morgan turn into strong starters, we will be good, but I think that we need to look at drafting another good LT and RG.

Jacobs is making our OL look better than it is, but that won't last forever and Love still needs as much time as possible to make the right decisions.

Our OL individually is struggling but as a unit is doing surprisingly well. Love is currently leading the league in sack % of pass attempting plays at just 3.02%. Of course that is pass pro which is something we traditionally are better at than run blocking here in GB.

The sack percentage is good, but sometimes the stats can mask reality. I think that Jordan has great pocket awareness and is nimble enough even with the bad knee. However, I personally believe that he is rushing some of his decisions and throws anticipating the pressure.

For fun I decided to look up Love's stats on average release time. He's in the bottom third meaning that he is holding onto the ball more than most. When I then looked at the averages for Intended Air Yards and Completed Air Yards, Jordan is around the top 5 for both. He's got the 11th worse completion percentage.

All of that means that he is trying to complete longer passes and therefore holding onto the ball longer. Unfortunately he's not connecting with his WRs on 4 of 10 passes. I'm not sure that those stats support either position in relation to sacks, but it is interesting.

Love needs to rely on his check-downs more and hit routes as the are developing instead of waiting a hair too long before pulling the trigger.

When it comes to the draft, I'm more interested in contract expirations after the 25 season. Those are positions that we traditionally draft for after the 24 season which means they don't expect rookies to be starters but to vie for starting jobs in their 2nd year.

I did post that somewhere but now I am unsure what thread LOL...although you can see that too as I put the contract years.
