There is zero chance that Amari will have any trade value. It’s reading fans trying to talk themselves into a player being worth anything when he’s done nothing positive on a football field despite having the best QB in the league last year and there being a desperate need at receiver this year and doing nothing to fill it.

I have no doubt that Gute will claim he was interested in numerous receivers that would help this year’s Packers team immensely and i am 100% certain that he’ll be unwilling to do enough to actually get any of those receivers on the team. He covets this draft picks and the underwhelming players he can find in the draft too much to risk trading them for a known commodity at receiver.
Actually read his post.

Gute needs to give the Steelers our 3rd round pick for Claypool. He doesn't seem to make gute use of his 3rd round picks.

I meant Michael balko the guy that made the tweet.. lol

You might want to ask @Pokerbrat2000 as he seems to be following the guy.

We need to get two receivers such as claypool dj moore Odell Lockett any body that’s actually solid to make up to be better than Adam’s they have had Adam’s and couldn’t go to the Super Bowl so talent wise one of those receivers even if they made a move isn’t gonna be enough

It's impossible for the Packers to make any moves to end up with a receiving corps better than if Adams was still around at this point in the season.

I said in the game thread …. forget about adding receivers … go out and trade whatever you can to get a decent O lineman… not a project … someone that can start today lol.

I agree the Packers need to address the offensive line. In my opinion they need help at receiver as well though.

If you do the math, it’s really another version of a 4th Rounder (early to late) which someone already said they wouldn’t accept.

We’d likely have to trade a 2nd rounder for a 4th or something like that to peak their interest. Keep in mind he’s only got 1 season left on his rookie contract before it’s time to pony up $20M per season. So the 2nd rounder gets very appealing.
I doubt Brian would give up a 2nd rounder though, that’s a highly coveted area. He might offer a couple Day 3 selections though.

I highly doubt the Steelers would be interested in giving up a fourth rounder in a trade for Claypool. They might be looking to get a day two pick in return, period.

I’m most definitely ready to move on from lafleur he is so conservative imo and he can’t make an adjustment to save his life.

I don't consider it to be a smart idea to move on from a coach who has the second best winning record in the NFL since taking over because the team is in a slump for the first time in his tenure.

Punts inside the 40 more than anybody and before we got odonnell they net like 17 yards in punts that go in the end zone why not go for it on 4th down or let your kicker try a field goal cuz the defense is giving up the 17 yards in two plays anyways..

The Packers have the fifth most punts (tied with four other teams) inside the opponents' 40-yard line since MLF has taken over with a total of eight. Crosby not having a huge leg at this point in his career certainly contributes to it.

BTW, it's the Patriots who lead the league by far in punts in those situations with 16. Do you believe Belichick doesn't know how to coach as well?

Based on that if I were the Steelers I would ask for our 4th round pick then.

Gute should happily give up a 3rd rounder for Chase Claypool or even a 4th for Kendrick Bourne. However, the chance to draft another underwhelming FB/TE or olineman is just too tempting and we'll all just hear from reports (put out by Packers sources to cover for Gute's failures at contributing any real talent at any offensive skill positions) that the Packers were involved in numerous potential trades but were just unwilling to part with anything except a lifetime supply of bratwurst and a conditional seventh.

I think the Packers have to decide if it's win now or just being ok with competing for the division. Right now this team certainly doesn't look like a Superbowl contender.

San Francisco may have just gotten remarkably stronger with CMC and they have LaFleur's #. I don't think this team can beat the Eagles. I don't think they can beat the Bills, Ravens, or Chiefs either. Obviously, they play the Bills soon, so we'll see.

Not making a trade before Nov 1, to me, means they're happy just competing for the division.

While I can understand the frustration. Teams in Week 6 and week 18 can be miles apart, both good or bad.

I think a big changing point will be these next 3 contests. If The Packers can win 2 of the next 3, they are very much playoff “alive” at 5-4. It all starts with WTF

I think the only saving grace is, the Super Bowl year, 2014 and 2016, we didn't really start the year off too hot but either won the SB or made it to the NFCCG

They might end up asking for our second rounder based on it though.

I don't believe the Packers win the division without making a move to improve the offense at the trade deadline.

True, but those teams had a lot more talent on the roster on offense than this year's squad.

Cobb to IR - four week window for Amari to show something starts now. This will be the true first time we will be able to truly see what possibly is there potentially from him as a slot WR.

It will be interesting to see how this goes….he doesn’t need to produce insane yards or such but show the right patterns, minimize mental mistakes to just a couple or less and maybe make something’s happen with the ball in his hand once or twice.

Hos future is in his hands that's for sure. If we flaps I'm pretty sure he is gone in the off-season and maybe sooner if this team gets back on track and ate good down the stretch.

He is still very cheap and if the team even thinks there is a chance he turns into something he won’t go anywhere till someone truly pushes him out of that 5th or 6th spot. That is his only saving grace is that with Doubs coming in hot, Amari isn’t even our 5th arguably

It is time, he hesitates every step and movement - I’ve never quite seen a guy shift backwards this much from what they were in college from a comfort standpoint.

As it stands I’m not even sure there’d be much point in trading for a WR at this point. A week or two ago I would’ve been all for it, but now…? We certainly need one but at the same time it’s not like we’re “just a WR away” or whatever. We don’t look like a playoff team at the moment and I’m not sure any of the WRs who would realistically be available to us would be enough to make us into one. I’ve been critical of us being far too protective of draft picks in the past but at the moment it feels like unless you can get a great deal for a long-term player in place you might as well hang on to the picks since it feels like we won’t be making much noise this season anyways.

I’ve said it already if Aaron wasn’t our QB we’d be in sell mode. Lazard would be traded, Dillon be a target to some…Gary for big return…a lot of guys potentially moving on.

We won’t and we will try to see if one or two additions can push us to a better place…and I’ll never write us off because Aaron has proven me wrong so many times…but man this feels terrible.

What do you think Lazard would get in trade? I’m thinking no more than a conditional seventh? Maybe a sixth if every starting receiver on a team caught the mumps?

I like your initial thought...GB should be in sell-mode. Cap hell awaits us so not much cap left for guys like Jenkins, Lazard, Gary, Amos, or Tonyan. Might as well load-up on draft picks to rebuild around Love in '23. Games won't get any easier than last 3 should've been, and the only light at the end of this tunnel is the train headed straight for us.
