Chiefs losses have BOTH come at home at Arrowhead. If the Packers are going to win, they are going to have to pound Jones and Williams, pound then some more, and go play action. Chiefs run D is just as bad as ours.

The defense is going to have to make Matt Moore beat us throwing the ball. That’s right! Make Moore throw the ball and keep Everything in front of them. Cannot let Hill run behind the defense or for KC to get chunk yards.

SLOW the game down by pounding Jones and Williams and converting third downs.

From what I have seen of the defense, they are definitely bend but don't break. Having said that, I am still very skeptical about how good it really is. I have seen at least 7 to 10 plays (probably more) where the only person in the picture is the opposing teams receiver. How is anybody that open? I watch Blake Martinez and though he probably leads the team in tackles, it doesn't appear that he can stay within 10 yards of anyone. Very concerning because the very good QB's in the NFL are going to be licking their chops when they play the Packers. The D seems so hit and miss. When they are good, they are real good. When they are bad, they look like high school.

i'm not sure if Greene is this year, but Campbell can be activated from PUP and still leave 1 IR designation for the team, so maybe? i thought he was done for the season though, not really a chance to come back. BUt i've been wrong before
...and I believe that you are wrong again - but only technically! I think that the Packers already used one of their two boomerang IR moves on Sternberger. Therefore, they will likely have to decide between Greene and Campbell for the last boomerang. They won't have any left after that.

Lost there in 2011 19-14 for the one in the 15-1.
I apologize once again for my egregious error. I brought my newborn daughter home from the hospital that week and brought her down to the Packers cave to watch her first game with Dad. That snapped the Packers streak and she ended up becoming a Vikings fan. My fault.

I did try to correct it by finally bringing her to Lambeau for the Lions game the other week. Once she heard Roll Out The Barrel, she admitted that she might like the Packers more.

Campbell was never on IR though, he hadn't practiced at all so he got the PUP. He won't count as an IR return if he comes back. he practiced a week ago, so his clock is ticking. I think they have 3 weeks to then activate or IR and end his season.

We'll still have 1 IR designation left

Doesn't have to be just run. Honestly if the way we diced Oakland last week works this game, I say go for it.

The Chiefs will score some points because not too likely anyone shuts em down unless Moore really stinks. But get em trying to win a shootout against Rodgers without Mahomes .... Not a chance I say.

the only problem I have with this game is that it's 7pm. I will probably be knocked out before the game starts.

Savage and when Raven come back things are bound to stiffen up some FOR SURE.

I agree that it will be good to get those guys back, but unless they put on 70-80 quick pounds, they arent going to be a huge help against the run. I believe the packers are currently 26th in run defense.

The Zone scheme really made no sense to me. Pettine was heavily outcoached and the defense couldnt adapt and recover. Andy Reid is one hell of a offensive mind so Pettine better step up his game this week. Man coverage seems to be the big weakness of the Chiefs O( Colts and Lions did that more or less successfully ) and I hope Pettine noticed this. Also the focus gonna be on the run game. The Chiefs cant defend the run. packers need to run it down their throat to keep the offense off the field. This game more than ever, even without Mahomes.

Any idea why Pettine decided to play so much zone? I thought this team was usually 75% or more in press-man coverage

And yet somehow they'e been dropping like flies this season.
They'll just come up with more stuff to get high scoring games.

No breathing near QBs lest you give them cold/flu! Cant' run too fast near them lest they get sick in the draft. etc etc

The QBs dropping like flies this season don't have colds or the flu, nor the Packer QB the last two season.

The problem, if there is one, aren't the rules against hitting the QB. The problem is the rules promoting more passing and scoring. If a QB drops to pass 50 times his chance of injury doubles over the old school 20-25.

The league has made these guys extremely expensive, preeminent in the winning calculus, the faces of the league, and in the process exposed them to more injuries. The rule adjustments are just that, adjustments to the reality of increased QB exposure to injury.

But do not fret. I laughed when I heard Aikman say in recent broadcast that no player wants to another injured, the words of a company man. There a lot of guys in this league who would trade a 15 yard penalty and a $15,000 fine for taking the QB out of a game. That could mean Boyle rolling onto the field at any time. Who wants that? I don't even like Mahomes being out this week.

Or roll it back to 3 yards and a cloud of dust and most of the problem goes away except for the running backs and linemen of course.

How’s their O-Line? That may be the deciding factor.

Oh we can definitely get to Moore. My biggest fear really is they have three very good pass catching RBs. We don’t handle those kind of RBs well at all. McCoy is going to be an issue for Martinez. Also, hopefully Savage is playing...if not they may have to double team Kelsey.
