I am really tired of watching Blake Martinez get beaten so bad by anyone and everyone. I respect him for playing with a club on his hand last night but I have to question any coach that plays Green Bay that doesn't throw at him 50 times a game. I know that his stats are more than respectable but all that proves to me is how mediocre this defense is. Matt Moore (who?) has not even played football in year or more, practiced for a week at most, slices up the D like a hot knife through butter. This is not a championship defense. It is not even a good defense. Sometimes stats are very misleading. What was the game plan defensively? How do you not blitz early and often? Cause they know that beyond the line of scrimmage, the Packers have problems. Add horrible tackling and a false sense of greatness (KK please shut the hell up and make plays) and trouble is brewing.

I was about 20 rows up 30 yard line. On the deep pass to Jimmy Graham toward the front corner end zone it looked like he slowed down big time at the end of the route. Not sure what it looked like on camera but he definitely should have had that imo.

KC can put three receivers with 4.5 or better speed on the field at the same time. IIRC. When they can blow by most of your DBs, what is the answer? Start your DBs back 10 yards so they can keep up. The defense tightened once the Chiefs crossed the 50 as there wasn't as much field to cover. Also Reid is a good play designer, I wish we had chosen him instead of Sherman back then. Besides that, the defense allowed 7 points in the three quarters of the game outside of the 2nd quarter. I'll take that any week provided the one bad qtr does not allow an insurmountable lead. And you are right, stats are misleading. The only one that truly matters is points as that leads directly to wins and losses.

I agree with you on most of your points to a certain extent. However, any speed seems to get opposing team receivers wide open. How does a tight end get behind the defense 20 yards? How many times have we seen receivers with no one near them? 7-1 is the bottom line, yes but that in and of itself is misleading. Do you honestly see this defense stopping Brady or Brees?

2 things, our defense has shown the ability to make enough plays and especially when it counts, to win games. Our offense continues to grow and even right now would be able to keep up point wise with either the Saints or the Brady. There aren't many defenses that are going to shut those guys down. I think our offense is getting to a point where they can put pressure on opposing teams that will play into our defenses strengths. While it won't always be pretty, I think it will be effective.

just a thought:
On the setup for the Hail Mary, KC rushed 7 players.
Had GB ran a short crossing pattern with the 2 faster receivers and/or our KR, we would’ve had a better chance at scoring.
They had 3 defenders Playing deep and we would’ve had 1 Defender covering 2 receivers near midfield with 10-15 yards to the next closest D player and 3 blockers. They had gambled with sending the house. We missed a good opportunity there.

Worse yet, had Graham went out of bounds a yard earlier (he already had the 1st) instead of flopping inside for an extra 2 yards and burning valuable seconds off the clock, we would’ve had 3 shots from our 35 to get into manageable FG range and saved a TO. I was shocked a double digit veteran would choose 1 yard over stopping the clock. Very poor clock management with 50 sec and a TO.

Is this play the crazy throw by AR to Williams? I saw a clip of that from behind the end zone and a KC defender had his arms around Graham's waist! I'm almost surprised no ref saw it.

No, I want to say it was during the 1st half. It would have been roughly a 50 yd td catch. Graham had 5 yards on the closest defender then all of a sudden he slowed down big time near the 15-10 yard line. He was limping most of the night so I'm not sure if he was injured as he was running (AGAIN )

Honestly I am still surprised that the Packers were able to win this, even against the back up QB.

Reid is just such a creative offensive mind, and KC just has so much team speed, for a while it seemed like the packers couldnt even get a hand on their playmakers until they were 15 yards down the field.

The fumble by McCoy was the key turning point in the game. Without it I don't think the packers win.
