Pack have had tons of chances and opportunities the past 2 games. It’s a work in progesss like Rodgers said, this team is going to be good when they clean things up.

We didn't lose this one to a bad call....we lost because they dropped passes, Bruce is garbage and we made peterson look like he did years ago

That game brought to you by the NFL... I usually laugh at the guys who say they're giving up on the NFL. I'm not laughing at them today.

My only consolation is the the Queens got clobbered. Unfortunately, we are playing the Bills next week.

Maybe we should have a bet how soon in the game Clay gets a roughing call.

Exactly. Tired of hearing what "top line" this is. Play like it.

From what I saw, Spriggs and McCray had some ugly plays. But overall they blocked the run well and a lot of the pressure was of the “holding the ball too long” variety.

How the **** is that roughing the passer but body slamming Rodgers wasn’t. Wtf I hate these calls
I went back and looked at that body slam. You are absolutely correct. From the rules:

"A rushing defender is prohibited from committing such intimidating and punishing acts as “stuffing” a passer into the ground or unnecessarily wrestling or driving him down after the passer has thrown the ball, even if the rusher makes his initial contact with the passer within the one-step limitation...."

But the real kicker is the following phrase:

"When in doubt about a roughness call or potentially dangerous tactic against the quarterback, the Referee should always call roughing the passer."

Relative to the Matthews call, the Rodgers slam was a no-brainer.

Dear referees:

“Here are 1200 rules, each with twelve layers of nuance. Please adjudicate them accurately. Also, let’s have at least 15 stoppages for review per game. This is what the people want.”

1,200 probably understates the rule count though I don't think there's ever more than 3 layers of nuance. ;) You're right about the peeps, though. They get aggrevated by the play stoppages but then they'll ***** about a bad call not subject to review. Everybody wants it every which way.

There's absolutely no reason to call one and not the other. Though not related to the call issue, the still picture doesn't quite capture how that slam was on the left shoulder, the site of the broken collar bone. It could have been worse.

I would be in favor of simplification and eradicating replay review. However, that won’t ever happen. As it is, I guess it would be nice if they could review the roughing calls. But I suspect they would back up the flag. It’s not being wrongfully thrown... it’s just a horrible rule.

I about lost my sh*t after Payne's sack on Rodgers and no penalty. I was also surprised that it wasn't talked about right after the play or at minimum, after Clay's sack. Not sure if the announcers are on a tight leash with this and being told not to stir up too much controversy, although FOX did a pregame piece on it and Howie Long stated if they are going to continue to be so controversial and subjective, then they should be reviewed. I agree Howie.

That sack on Rodgers was text book of what the NFL says that they don't want to see, manipulate the QB and land on top of him with full weight, yet flag stays in pocket? Matthews gets a text book tackle and snake bit again.:rolleyes:

Tbh, I don’t think Payne’s sack should be a penalty. However, flagging Clay and not Payne is a wretched double standard.
