No one said it would be smart, but it has been confirmed Jets are taking calls....but that is a very broad term and let's be honest ANY player is tradeable for the right amount of picks/players received. ANYONE.

I just saw that a Jets reporter says a source of his inside the organization is saying that Williams is not on the trade block.
I'd still make an offer, the Jets are beginning a deep dark rebuild.

My guess is that they're taking calls on him and waiting to be blown away. There's not reason to move him if no one comes in hard with a big offer.

Agreed I'd love to have the guy, but they ain't letting him go for no fourth rounder!

One guy that hasn't come up is Marvin Jones. NFL trades are rare, and intra-divisional trades are rarer.

I have no idea how he is playing this year, except that his production is down. But he fits the profile of a trade candidate-- 30, in a contract year, relatively inexpensive.

A.J. Green is also starting to come on after a slow start. However, his franchise tag contract is likely prohibitive.

If they're looking at tight ends:
  • Chris Herndon, Jets
  • Evan Engram, Giants
  • Hayden Hurst, Falcons
Engram would be particularly exciting.

Jets defensive lineman Quinnen williams is officially on the trade block. Just heard him speaking about it sounds like a pretty smart dude....I'd definitely give up a 2nd round pick for him if it's true that's what they asking for and even a first if that's what it took. Very talented young dlinemen under team control thru 2023

I had such a draft crush on Engram. He's had some drop issues and sloppy routes, but I think a lot can be attributed to playing for such an awful team. I would love this signing.

if you heard it from Williams that beats rumors from reporters. it'd be a great pickup

This is the signing we should make if we can! We need defensive line help more than most things and him alongside Clark would be amazing. Would definitely be worth whatever we gave up.

I'm still highly skeptical of Quinnen being available, but if he were, sorry to be a downer, but there would be teams lined up for a shot at him, and I guarantee you there would be teams with better looking draft position making offers. Kind of like what happened with Mack. I get the dream, I want the dream too, but settle down buckos.

He is available and gute would be wise to at least take a shot... worst that can happen is they say no we have a better offer

The hands are suspect, but I would imagine that Petals could do a lot more with him than Jason Garrett. He showed how good he could be with a washed up Eli Manning. He'd be very affordable for the rest of 2020. His 5th year option in '21 would be about 6M-- not ideal, but doable.

Chris Herndon is sort of the poor man's version of Engram. He's not the same freak of an athlete, but he's pretty impressive. Cap-wise, he would be ideal-- very affordable both in '20 and '21. He had 32/504/4 as a rookie in 2018, missed almost all of 2019, and hasn't done much this season. But you can always count on players doing well once they get away from Adam Gase.

Hayden Hurst was a "win now" move by Dmitroff to try and replace Hooper for Matt Ryan. That obviously hasn't worked out. He has a year and a half of rookie deal left--very affordable. He's on pace for 675 yards and 7 TD's while playing about 64% of the snaps there. The Falcons acquired him for a 2nd and a 5th, and they got a 4th back from Baltimore along with him. But there's a half season less value on him now. Maybe just a 4th straight up? Idk.

My two favorite targets for the offense via trade are Brandin Cooks and Evan Engram.

Ok you wanna pay Evan engram 6 million in the cap short year of 2021?

That's a definitely not for me. Im not sure he's any better than Tonyan and he certainly wouldn't have the chemistry with Rodgers. Hearing he has 'route running" issues does not sound like a guy Rodgers would throw to.

I liked herndon coming out. If you can get him cheap, like a late round pick I'd do it. Provided he's healthy, I think he could still develop into a legit te1.

Hayden hurst I'll pass

Offer a 1st rounder, a 4th rounder, and Lowry and see what happens.

Right! Might as well but I'd start out with just the first and Lowry. Don't think they'd want lowry though haha but maybe....

Send Dallas a 3rd for Michael Gallup. He'd be a massive upgrade over MVS.

Gallop for a 3rd would be cool dude is a very good #3 wr on a super bowl team.

Yeah, I'd do that. The nice thing with Gallup is that he would be cheap for the rest of this year and next. So they wouldn't have to pay him until 2022, when the cap will loosen up. And if he's great, and they decide not to pay him, then they could get a comp pick back to recoup the cost of acquiring him.

The question though is whether Dallas would deal him. He's controlled through next season, and while they would likely let him walk in '22, they probably want to trade to build around that WR corps next season.

Great arguments and points by everyone on this post, my only question is: IS Gutey that aggressive?

I am an LA Native, Packers fan, and i see the Rams/Les Snead make deals left and right. Tampa Bay is loaded to begin with, and then they get Antonio Brown. Chiefs got Laveon Bell. The Rams, Hawks, Tampa Bay, somehow are making aggressive deals, that i wish Packers did.

We like to play conservative, when why not make a push for 2020 squad. Give Rodgers 2 LEGIT WR threats, we have 2 RBs, Lazard/EQ/and others can support, Tonyan is coming along with Jace.

Get one playmaker on WR and then get JJ Watt back home or Stephon Gilmore is on the trading block for Patriots BTW. Jaire is becoming Jaire island these days, pair him with Stephon.

Dontari Poe from Cowboys is available for much cheap, or a younger Tak McKinley from Falcons for Def Tackle along with Clark.

If Packers front office can push the chips into this year, and make sure we do not show up into the NFC playoffs or NFC championship with Last year's nightmares (this year i am expecting the niners version will be Tampa Bay for us), then we should be in a good position to fight them off.

Also after last night's Bears loss, Packers are no1 seed in the NFC, and with TB and NO facing each other again, and NFC west beating each other out, we have a good chance to retain it and NFC championship in the frozen tundra.

This is a trade scenario that can only be hypothesized:

We dont know how special Jordan Love is, maybe he is the next Mahomes, or maybe/maybe not he is the next rodgers we find out in 2-3 years. We didnt address WR or ILB Patrick Queen was available in draft when we picked.

Cowboys are having a fire sale: oh and btw their QB room has the dude who was a clerk at car wash last week (joking).
Send Jordan Love and a future late round pick, to Mike Mccarthy and Cowboys, Get Gallup, and Demarcus Lawrence/Dontari Poe/Everson Griffin or a combination on defense in return.

From what you read, it seems like Gutekunst is pretty aggressive in terms of being involved with free agents and trade targets. But he also seems pretty selective about what moves he will finally pull the trigger on.

For instance, it's been reported that the biggest offer to Snacks Harrison was from Green Bay-- he just didn't want to play there. It's come out that the Packers made an offer for Zach Ertz, but then he got hurt and ended up on IR.

So he certainly isn't sitting on his hands. We just have to see if the right deal comes together.

.

Snacks, I believe wanted to play for GB. He was available early on when we did not acquire him. this was before clark got injured, and then when we started looking deeper into him, he signed with Seattle Practice squad. Dude wants to sit in practice squad, but not even play for Tampa Bay lol. and with seattle's own woes they havent even upgraded him into active yet.

Zach Ertz - If Packers made an offer, i wonder why they didnt get it done right away. And i honestly dont think Zach Ertz is the solution when we have Tonyan, and he is getting better. referring back to my post, WR/DT/front seven is important.

Any thoughts on why the packers are not making an attempt on Earl Thomas? Proven Leader and paired in backfield with Amos and Jaire, it would definitely boost.
