The Packers scored three touchdowns on four red zone opportunities against the Rams. That's actually pretty good.

Overall, it's true they have struggled this season though, ranking only 21st in the league at a touchdown rate of 52.3%.
Fair enough, but they had outstanding field position and points were left off the board. The first drive was a 12 play drive that ended in 3 points. Nixon gets a 52 yard kickoff return and the Packers start at the Rams 48. The drive ends in a punt from the 42. Mayfield is then picked off and the drive starts at the Rams 34. Drive ends at the Rams 31 via a Jones fumble. So, you are right @captainWIMM. It wasn't the redzone. It was outside of it. The Packers started two drives on the opponents side of the field and came away empty and settled for 3 on what was a 1st and goal.

My point is this. Good teams score on those drives and put 3 win teams away. If the Packers expect to beat Miami they had better take advantage of all the opportunities that the Dolphins provide.

I understand your point, but...I still think the Philly backups led by Minshew and the Dallas backups led by Rush are better than the Commodes & Giants. ;)
and here I thought I was being unmerciful calling then WTF. The Commodes??:laugh:
Love it!

I can see what happened in Buffalo and Philly. Those are teams at the top. Winning in their place is difficult for anyone. But all 4 of the teams mentioned that had bad seasons a year ago? And we thought Tennessee was such a powerhouse yet other teams have been able to mop up on them. Not us.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting the offense performed at a high level vs. the Rams but they did actually pretty well in the red zone. I agree they need to play better to win at Miami.

Jags victory over Jets helps the Lions SOV

No, it didn't as the Lions beat the Jets as well. It actually added a win and a loss to their SOV record.

We better make hay this week and next week. I've got a feeling if we have to depend on teams like the Eagles and Cowboys it's likely they'll be resting people in week 18.

I’m not sure who said that but ..

Personally I never thought TN was much of a powerhouse. However they obviously have Henry and we kinda sold out to stop the run, which we did well. However we largely underestimated their Passing game (320 yards). They also did a nice job consuming the clock. If you recall we
Came off a long punishing OT Win just 4 days earlier (3 minutes left in OT) which spells less preparation or rest. We we’re clearly not at our best, scoring just 17 points won’t get it done most days. However we now know they are a top 12 area Defense. They are a typical 7-7 type team that can trap you if you let your guard down.

Maybe if the game is on Sunday we make it close. But our staff was not prepared well enough. The Titans were. Throw in that fumble on the punt. That was a killer because the momentum could have shifted.

Teams move the ball on the Titans by passing, passing and passing some more. As mentioned in another thread, we ran into the teeth of their defense and tried to beat them with short passes which was unbelievable. You have to score quick and keep scoring on these running teams (Tenn, San Fran, Chicago, etc.) or they'll keep running and kill the clock and your offense freezes on the sideline if you're playing in the weather.

So far so good. Near halftime the Lions and Seattle and Giants are all losing.
Will need a SF49er Win later today.

Saints, Falcons, Lions, Giants, Seahawks all losing at the Half (crossing fingers).

I had to stop watching the Vikings after about a quarter. I find myself cheering too much for the Giants to kick their ***** even though it's not in our best interest. So, I'll just let what happens happen, and I don't have to watch it LOL

Not too concerned about the Saints. But we need the 9ers to stop Wash.

Even the Eagles lost which makes them continue to play for #1 Seed. Also Cowboys win gets our Strength of Victory tiebreaker better

49ers taking the Commanders apart.

Packers are 4 for 4 today.

Means nothing without taking care of business tomorrow though.
True. Makes our game even more critical. We just got all the help we could ask for this Christmas. We need 1 more Washington loss OR 2 Giants losses.

SOV won't come into play now that the Lions lost. Cowboys will more than likely be locked into the 5th seed by their game time vs the commanders. Hopefully they play the game to win assuming we're still in it of course.
