Well, one of my favorite times of the NFL year is approaching, Free Agency!

Will the Pack sign some free agents? I think yes.

Will they go after some big ones like last year (Jacobs and McKinney) or play small ball like TT?

I would like to see them come out of Free Agency with a top 5 CB, as well as either a decent DT and/or DE.

Out of those 3 positions, I expect Gutey to invest mostly in a CB, possible a DE.

WR and OL are the 2 other areas that I can see some mid-range money being invested.

This one’s gonna be fun because we actually are sitting pretty comfortable Cap wise. We have not been able to say that for quite a while.

I’m expecting an electric FA period.

While I expect Gute to possibly sign a top FA and possibly 2, he will need to keep an eye on 2026 and beyond when it comes to keeping current players, whose contracts expire. Unlike this year, there are quite a few important names on that list and it might be wise for the Packers to work new deals out mid season with some of those players and use the excess cap in 2025.

Those 2026 free agents are:

- Doubs
- Watson
- Tom
- Q. Walker
- Wyatt
- Enagbare
- Rhyan
- R. Walker
- Cox
- Willis
- Heath

I believe that you have them ranked (above) generally in order of importance. I won't quibble over their places but the top three that you listed will likely be the highest dollar players - Tier 1. I expect that Doubs or Watson will not be here by the end (or start) of next season eliminating one of those contract decisions. It would make sense for Gutekunst to move one of those guys in a trade now.

Honestly, I didn't rank them. Just typed them a bit from memory and then double checked that their contracts were done at the end of 2025 and anyone I may have missed.

I think the importance of each player and getting them signed, is still to be determined.

I am most likely in the minority, but IMO R. Walker is #2 behind Tom.

I do think Walker is a starter in the league I just don’t think we pay both bookends but we will see.

I actually wondered if they trade Walker to a team if a team has a guy go down and GB feels Morgan is fully ready….only do this if they have no plan for Walker to play past this year of course.

I was thinking the exact same thing. As long as Rasheed Walker stays reasonable I think we should do everything possible to retain him.

There are only 3-4 players on that list that concern me. Tom and Walker are 2 of that dedicated, contract offer list.

Wyatt is top #3 -#4 in priority here. However this 2025 draft is an anomoly of DL depth. I’m fully expecting us to grab a Day 3 DT just because of supply n demand pushing one onto our lap.ouch!

I 100% am on board with saying Rasheed is #2 behind Tom with who deserves a second contract the most...but I don't place him #2 on the list of who I expect to actually get a second contract next. I don't believe GB is going to carry top (or close) market LT and RT salaries at the same time down to the year. Now the one way I could see this play out that way is if Tom is extended now where 2025 is actually the "first" year of his new contract....we play 2025 and Rasheed continues to be solid, we don't draft an heir apparent and Morgan becomes one of our starting guards and is good....then perhaps you see GB sign Walker to a new contract where 2026 is his first year...

Who knows...there is a TON of impending contracts the next two years with guys that play a LOT...almost wonder if Gute does some player trades at some point due to this.
