You guys must be ecstatic about that 3 point win you eked out over a very average Seattle team. I might be relieved right now if I were a Bears fan, but I certainly wouldn't be optimistic about next week.

Let's see.....
The Patriots beat the Chargers by 3.
The Saints beat the Eagles by 3.
The Colts beat the Ravens by 9 in a game that neither team could score a TD.

Yup! I feel pretty good about beating the defending NFC champs again and hosting the conference championship game next Sunday.

By the way, how did the mighty Packers do against that "average" Seattle team?

Philly.

What is your fascination with me? Are you a gay stalker?

So the Bears beat a team that they are supposed to beat in their home stadium... Hmmm.

THAT is a big deal? If so, I feel bad for you and your like.

By the way Philly, what happened the last time the Bears played the so called Below-average Green Bay Packers???

Phil, Bears may have won the game but not all is perfect.

Props to the Bears, especially Rexxy for proving he is mentally tough.

However you guys have some kinks you need to work out (for the record, if my beloved Packers aren't there, I'll be rooting for you guys).

No, Phil does not stalk gay people. You are safe.

I would gladly put up the number of posts that I have made referring to you against the number that you made about me.
I just like the fact that after all of your blabbering nonsense, you wiggle back into your hole and say nothing when your bizarre predictions and inaccurate statements blow up in your face.

Whatever Philly.

HOw sad that your pathetic mind thinks I left because of my bizarre predictions.

For your info, I predicted the Bears to beat the Seadogs.
Again, What is your problem?

It is set to the beat "New Orleans is gonna kick your guys' ***** on Sunday."

Are you sure that it isn't set to "New Orleans already kicked your butt about 14 Sunday's ago"? Quite a catchy tune, you know.

It is set to the beat "New Orleans is gonna kick your guys' ***** on Sunday."

And when did the Saints suddenly become this unstoppable force?
Because they beat the Eagles by 3 points?
Because they have finished first 3 times and have won a grand total of 2 playoff games in their 40 year history?
The Bears scored more points than their "explosive" offense and gave up far fewer points than their defense.
They can be run on and they can be passed on.
They are playing the game in Chicago for a reason. It is because the Bears had the better record this season.
The Saints were 3-13 last year while the Bears were 11-5.
Why you suddenly feel that they are the 1990 San Francisco 49ers is beyond me.

In the playoffs you can take all of those stats and throw them out the window. It is all about who is hot and playing great ball. I mean didn't a wild card team win the superbowl last year????

I agree and that is my point.
The Saints won their game at home by 3.
The Bears won their game at home by 3.

The Saints won 27-24.
The Bears won 27-24.

Brees was 20 of 32 for 243 yards and a TD.
Grossman was 21 of 38 for 282 yards and a TD

The Saints time of possession was 35:24
The Bears time of possession was 35:33

The Saints Red-Zone Efficiency was 60%
The Bears Red-Zone Efficiency was 67%

Brees was sacked 3 times
Grossman was sacked 3 times

The Saints went 4-2 after December 1st averaging 27.4 points per game.
The Bears went 5-1 after December 1st averaging 26.4 points a game.

The Bears lost to the Packers during the last month of the season.
The Saints lost to the Redskins during the last month of the season.

Were does any of this show that the Saints are the hotter team?
On top of that they now have to play on the road and out side while they are a dome team and are used to perfect conditions for their offense and special teams.

Phil you make very valid posts in this thread but wtf does last years record have to do with this years team?

Saints are right now, America's team.
For all the reasons that you overlook Phil.

Besides, Saints can be run on by a good offense. They can be passed on by a good QB.

Bears have neither. Why, the PACKERS showed the ENTIRE world that if you stop Bears Running game and pressure Grosseman, Bears offense can't score ANY points.

Breeze has the experience AND the ability to pick the Bears apart, a la Brett Favre.

BTW, Phil, why do you NEVER answer the questions at hand and continue to post your dribble that nobody cares about?

Your statment is using the entire teams production, special teams, defense, and offense..

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/chi/stats

Grossman 23 td, Griese 1 td= 24 tds
Rushing tds 14
24+14=38 total tds from the offense
32 fg
total of 324 points ( not including xp, or 2 point conv.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nor/stats

Brees tossed 27 tds, Martin tossed one= 28
Then they had 19 rushing tds..
28+19=47
23 fg
total of 351 points ( not including xp or 2 point conv)

So while as a whole the Bears team scored more points, the Bears offense produced less points then the Saints offense
