Good point. I can't remember when my opinion about the Packers changed so much from one week to another just from one game. I'm not saying it's hopeless, but we looked completely outclassed. And yet, if not for the ref's ticky tacky call on their FG, or if MLF had kicked the FG instead of going for it, who knows? I think MLF was trying to emulate the Lions when he went for it on fourth down. But I guess we're not the Lions.Went from riding high talking about a Super Bowl to looking at a likely early playoff exit in Philly within the span of 6 days. Not so easy when you’re not facing Spencer Rattler and Sam Howell.
Right. Minnesota had it so in the bag they just laid down and let us get within 2 points outside the 2-minute warning.I don't give them much credit for the last half quarter. Those were just garbage time TD's. Rather meaningless.
I get where you’re coming from, but it was very similar to the first game where Minnesota dominated for 50 plus minutes only to let off the gas too early.Right. Minnesota had it so in the bag they just laid down and let us get within 2 points outside the 2-minute warning.
Had that last QB hit been a fumble. It was Darn close. That would’ve 99% been a GB Win. Please don’t tell me that was planned we’ve been on the other Winning side either McCarthy a billion times and nearly lost the game.
Rodgers single-handedly pissed away several playoff games. He has the look and resume of a modern day Marty Schottenheimer, an excellent regular season coach who gets consistently outcoached in the biggest games against the best teams when the stakes are highest.

It’s great to see our guys keep fighting, but defenses and schemes change with a big late lead. You can’t look at this in the same lens as a 27-25 game that was back and forth the entire game, the context just isn’t the same.
Self-flagellation is a long Packer tradition.People at least need to be consistent. If the other team allows the Packers to close it to 2 points late "Eh.. garbage time. No chance. Whatever". Packers do it "They have no killer instinct! They stink! Allowing the other team to do that!"

I disagree. Not nearly as out of hand to the first game. But you saying it’s the same situation tells me why you think the Vikings gave up. They didn’t shut down at all.I get where you’re coming from, but it was very similar to the first game where Minnesota dominated for 50 plus minutes only to let off the gas too early.

The managing part I concur. The clue. He knew what to do. Just did not have the talent to get it done.Stud:MLF for not playing all his Aces b4 the play-offs
Dud:MLF for not having a clue on how to beat a top team and substandard playcalling/managing a game.
The Vikings and Lions along with Philly have great offensive lines which is a lot of why their QBs are so successful. KC and Buffalo the same, although those 2 teams have a QB that can adlib so as to mask a flaw or mistake. To get pressure enough on these teams you would need a Pro Bowler or future HOFer like a Reggie White. Or you would have to be heavy on DLs in order to constantly rotate in and out. It is easy to see why we smothered the Seahawks and Saints. Lesser protection, lesser QBs.Very frustrating 3 quarters. No pressure. Well, the vikings got pressure.
No, I don’t listen to 97.3.You text that into 97.3? I swore I remember them saying something about 'Adam texted in...' then something about Schottenheimer....
There is a difference between “giving up” and going into a conservativeI disagree. Not nearly as out of hand to the first game. But you saying it’s the same situation tells me why you think the Vikings gave up. They didn’t shut down at all.
In Week 4 the Vikings were Winning 28-7 with 5 minutes left in the 3rd (+21)
In Week 17 the Vikings were winning 20-10 at 5:00 clock in the 3rd Quarter.(+10).
It was a 9 point game with over 6 minutes remaining and All timeouts. It felt bad because our expectations were we should’ve been closer which that part is true.
I Will offer that missing Watson makes a difference. Melton is Fun but he’s not the big play that #9 is.
Just because you’re not “giving up” doesn’t mean you’re playing the same defense with 6 minutes left in a 17 point game as you would be with 6 minutes left in a 3 point game.I disagree. Especially dumb move against the Vikings front 7 who lead the league in stopping 4th down conversions.Good point. Actually very early in the game the ball was moving surprisingly easy for us...issue was fumble and stalled but I was very encouraged at first....then everything fell off the rails until second half. There is a difference between “giving up” and going into a conservative

They did almost nothing against Minnesota’s defense until that last half quarter.
At some point - “capable of beating anyone” — when you’re 0-5 against those “anyones”, it kind of rings hollow until you actually do it.I just don't understand this logic, yes you're right tons of folks out there let one game dictate their opinion....shoot many fans are out there doing that every single week. Fact is where I see us presently didn't change at all over the last couple weeks, shoot really the last four or so weeks. When Love is cooking, we get our health back on defense - this team is a team capable of beating anyone. That doesn't mean they've proven they're the best, they're right there with the Rams for the fourth best in the NFC - and each of those teams could easily catch fire and make a run.
