Overall, it was a disappointing performance. Certainly has to shake their confidence. They'll be one and done regardless of who they meet in the playoffs if they can't play better. Getting the injured players back would help.
I agree we played like crap. Yet we still gave ourself a chance to win.
I think a short week and a negative - injury report didn’t help. I noticed they kept Musgrave to very limited. I felt like we were holding back players on purpose. Just a hunch I think we gambled we could beat them a little banged up.

I have no clue why they held Musgrave out? He had 1 target in a game I fully expected 12 personnel regular. I thought he’d get 25-30 snaps. He played 9 last week and says he felt good. If he’s not ready just hold him out quit playing afraid.

We also did not throw 1 pass to a RB. Not 1. I said pregame that should be a focal point because it gets Wilson and Jacobs in space and reduces taking Sacks. We saw what Jacobs and Wilson do with a glimmer of daylight.

Their refusal to beef up the dline boggled my mind. When they do sign or draft a guy, that's needed, the pit him on the practice squad and never played him. See Jonathan Ford, Jarran Reed.
I don’t think Ford has ever seen a snap, if he was playable above Slaton or similar we’d have dressed him by now.

I'm not sure what to make of this game. They stunk to high heaven for 3 1/2 quarters and then somehow make a game of it at the very end, but couldn't finish it off. Very much like the first game between these two, but worse. You can't win in the NFL playing for only half a quarter.
I don't give them much credit for the last half quarter. Those were just garbage time TD's. Rather meaningless.

I hope LaFleur is holding back some.

Studs:
1. Edgerrin Cooper, this man is a STUDDDD!
2. Carrington Valentine, another pick this week, he's making impactful plays
3. Karl Brooks, a sack, a batted ball, and recovered Valentine's fumble on the interception return.
Duds:
1. First half miscues/penalties killing drives
2. Javon Bullard, a rough return to the lineup after missing a couple games to injury.
3. The over abundance of negativity on the game thread every week. You would swear we are the 4-12 Bears. I wish I would have spilled isopropyl alcohol on my phone tonight, like 13 did on his remote.

Quick question: Who holds the tiebreaker between us and the Commanders?

I still just can't believe that the Vikings kicked our arses so badly, and yet they only won by two points, and we had a chance to win at the end. It's very strange.

I don't think I have heard anything on that, but if it's division record as the tiebreaker, I would guess them. We are 1-4 in the North and all 5 losses are to NFC opponents.

They wouldn't use divisional record as a tiebreaker for 2 teams in different divisions.

Yes and had MLF kicked a FG instead of gambling on 4th and 3, we might be looking at a different outcome.

Had there not been a bad call on a neutral zone infraction, Vikings don't get 3 to end the half.

To beat good teams, you have to play smart and commit very few errors. The Packers failed on both accounts. Pre-snap penalties and penalties on big plays, killed us.

Yet, if they had stopped the Queens and gotten the ball back, we might be talking about a great comeback, never giving up and a 1 point win.
We complain when the team gives up points when we are ahead, and we don't give the team credit when we come back when we are behind. There's always a reason not in the Packers favor.

We are most likely headed to the playoffs with a 12-5 record, but MLF needs to be fired, and we need to tear down and rebuild the team. ( things actually posted on the game thread tonight). Has he made it to the Super Bowl yet, no, but we have been in the conversation 5 of 6 seasons under his guidance. Does he have faults? Heck yeah, but he also has the youngest team in the league for the 2nd year in a row. Which begs to ask, how do you rebuild the youngest team??? Do we get ....younger??? Almost like we have been rebuilding already, and possibly outperforming where we probably should be.

That last play was pretty bad where there is one guy to watch both the QB and the halfback going out for a short pass and no one else even in the picture.

Over reactive fans are going to do only what they know how to do, overreact.

"The Packers should score 49 points, the opponent zero and the team should be 20-0". If not, "Fire Them All".

Gute and MLF have done a great job assembling the youngest team in the NFL, while digging themselves out of cap hell. To be at 11-5, in the toughest division in the NFL, is pretty good work IMO.

If Washington wins tonight and next week at Dallas, they're in at the 6th seed. Packers fall to #7 and go to Philly in the wildcard, regardless of the Bears game result.

Matt Lafleur should not be fired, but he is indeed a dud tonight, coming up small in a big game like he has become known for.

At least I don’t have to hear the “Matt Lafleur is always so overlooked for Coach of the Year” this week.

My vote would be for the Vikings coach. I don't know of anyone who would have had the Vikings at 14-2 at this point of the season... with Sam Darnold as the QB.

I think LaFLeur is a good coach, he won 13 games his first three seasons. And still has a very good record, 67-32. He hasn't won the division without Rodgers though.

He has the look and resume of a modern day Marty Schottenheimer, an excellent regular season coach who gets consistently outcoached in the biggest games against the best teams when the stakes are highest.

That's what's so galling. Nobody expected the Vikings to be so good this year.

Perhaps, but you're a loser until you win. Look at how long Andy Reid was a head coach before he won the big one.

Atlanta is slowly but surely pissing this game away in Washington, so it’s currently looking more and more likely.
Yeah, the game's not over, but right now Washington has the look of a team that isn't going to lose this one.
