Love's passer rating was 88.7 last night. Not bad, but it breaks a streak of five straight games with a passer rating over 100.
In fact, Willis finished with a better rating than he did (95.8). Small body of work though.
I really like Willis. With another year on his contract, I do not want to see him traded. The guy comes in, knows the offense and darn it, he is pretty good. When you are a playoff team, this is the kind of experienced backup QB that you want on the sidelines. TT and Gute risked way too many seasons by having very little talent at backup QB, I hope Malik is a Packer in 2025 and beyond.

Indeed. We are fortunate. If we had a Willis in 2017 instead of a Brett Hundley maybe we get to the playoffs. Even in 2013 until Matt Flynn came around we could have gotten a higher seed. But we were stuck with Scott Tolzien.

The Watson injury occurred at the end of the play when the second Saints player landed on Watson's leg. That could happen on any play, so I'm not going to say that Watson shouldn't be end-arounds. He's good at it and I see no proof that he's any more vulnerable than getting lit up by a safety on a reception.

Studs for me:
- MLF for reading my posts on this forum. He stayed committed to the run and stretched the Saints far and wide. I lost count of all the edge plays that we ran, but it was A LOT! He should continue doing this in every game that we play this season.

- Zane Anderson played pretty great for a backup deep on the roster. He's essentially just a special teams roster spot who is playing hard and making plays. Did he play as well as Cooper or Wyatt? Absolutely not, but I expect more from starters. Great work dude.

Stud - Keisean Nixon. I know there are some here that despise him, but this dude is a play maker and we need guys like that. And, he is always available which is more than you can say for some of our players. He must be close to the top in defensive snaps this season.

Okay i know its Christmas and i know we just won 34-0 and everything is beautiful, but is it possible that Stokes is GOOD. He has put together a few good games now. Did he just need time to gain back confidance from the long injury down time, or is he just dialing it up because its contract time. I sure hope he has overcome the injury and is on his way back.

Even some of the penalties they called on us were suspect.
Yes. The Roughing the Passer Call on Brenton Cox Jr was ridiculous. He was pushed into the QB by the OL and by no means tried to lay a hit on him. I just think the Refs get way too deep in these games.
At least 1 flag was self induced to draw then offsides at Midfield. It was just a Punt either way.
I had us at 4-40 yards which is about average for later season.

I think he can handle his own if J’aire takes the WR1. I’m most impressed with Zayne Anderson. You can see his 4.44 6.78 3-Cone match his awareness both in that INT and the screen he came down and saved from a big gain. He reminds me a little of Evan Williams in that he’s a natural tracker and not afraid to lay wood.
We never even saw Kitan Olodapo yet. Boy we are deep at Safety.

I’m m not sure what to think of Bullard yet I just don’t see it. I know he’s a fan fav or might eventually be a good player but every time he’s not out there we get better. Seriously though, I understand trying to get Bullard to speed though. I think Evan Williams was a better selection than Bullard at this point. I’d slide Nixon to Slot and Alexander and Stokes outside.

Studs - my fantasy opponent for playing Jacobs McManus and packer D v Love and overcoming a 43 point deficit.

Duds - Saints - a team that previous to injuries was picked to be a playoff team.

Jacobs is a game changer. Win it all - with this improving and deep D we r lookin at it. Willis just gives me a confidence if Love goes down. This is again a rise. Lets finish it.

Oh That pass by Malik was a thing of beauty he also turned a -3 yarder into a 0 yard finish. He’s a very good athlete.

We'd be better doubling Jefferson with Stokes and a safety and letting JA cover their #2. Could take both out that way. Somebody did that vs GB a few years back with their stud CB covering not Adams while their #2 CB had help on every play to take DA17 out as an option.

Exactly what I’d do. Put Stokes and Williams doubling Jefferson with Xavier covering Single high
