For those talking about the play clock.. ALOT of the issue is the fact these are new guys who don't know how to fukn line up correctly. Deguaria couldn't figure out where to go in goal line formation MULTIPLE TIMES. Winfree was lost on what to do on another timeout the last drive and Rodgers had to burn one.

If you actually paid attention Rodgers was constantly motioning to the sideline to HURRY THE HELL UP with the plays being sent in. They showed him waving his hands numerous times times throughout that drive cause he knew exactly what was happening..... New little used players have no idea where to go

Dillon - He ran like he wanted to avenge Sunday's fumbles
Campbell-All over the field
Bojorquez-Crazy but he's a weapon as a punter.
Tonyan
Douglas
Preston Smith- No sacks but was constantly in the backfield

Duds
play calling in the red zone. Baffling why you wouldn't pound the rock with Dillon.
Stokes- He got lit up all game. sure looked like a lost rookie tonight.
Gary- He picked a bad time to disappear. Other than a bad facemask, he was not a factor.

I must say that the D line looked very aggressive, I was impressed, hope they can only get even better for the rest of the season

What about the times when they are all standing still in their appropriate spots waiting for 15 seconds for Rodgers to call for the snap only to have him call a timeout for whatever reason when he lets the clock run down to zero? Sure there are times when someone is in the wrong position but far more often than not its Rodgers trying to do something fancy and he runs out of time.

Stud: Douglas with a great job tipping that ball to himself.

Dud: Rodgers and his wasting of timeouts EVERY SINGLE GAME. What the **** is his problem?

Thanks Pike Badger. If I had to read another post about Summers not scoring a TD I think I was going to puke.
They obviously do not trust Dillon to not fumble.
Great win. No Luck needed. Never in doubt.
Unfortunately Tonyan and probably K.Hill added to the long injury list.

Amos post game talking about how much it helped to have Jerry Gray in Barry’s absence.

Gee, who could have ever thought such a thing?

Thoughts @captainWIMM ?

Amos doesn't know what he's talking about, him playing all those years with the Bears probably still rubs off on him ;)

On a serious note though, I try to explain it one last time to you. I don't think that having someone else calling the plays is such a huge deal with other coaches on an NFL staff being ready to make it work as well.

Just take a look at the Browns last season as evidence for it. The team was missing their head coach and offensive play caller (aside of some other coaches on that side of the ball) in a playoff game at Pittsburgh and ended up winning the game by scoring 48 points.

We would never know if they would have done that since they were called on delay of game that cost them five yards because of whoever was still in motion.

Rodgers scrambled to the one-yard line after the delay of game penalty, resulting in the Packers having a fourth down from the 1.

I'm telling you, man. LaFleur has been off way too much this season in the red zone. I have no idea how to explain the reasoning tonight.
Nobody gets 4 yards at will inside the 3 yard line. It's more strategy than brute force, especially when your receiving weapons are limited. AZ is tough down there. MLF called a brilliant game against the (former) top ranked team with a beat up team. No complaints at all about MLF last night.

The goal line offense is swamp water. Why not run AJ Dilion multiple times? The dude has tree trunks for legs.
It looked like Rodgers audibled on at least one of those plays, maybe a couple of them. Maybe they were originally runs.

When a play is called and you get to the line and realized both the main play and audible aren't going to work... Or when they show you something in regards to their coverage that you can exploit... You call timeout and get the right package.

Do you even football? Seriously

Radio guys after the game gave him and Preston kudos on the job they did containing Murray. Also keeping the pressure on while doing so.
I was going to say, neither guy disappeared, they played well all night long in addition to Clark and Lowry up front the consistently put squeezed the pocket and kept him contained and forced a couple poor throws. I thought they all stood out, not disappear.

Another good team win overall. Plenty of mistakes that can be cleaned up, but this was a against a darn good team, on the road in prime time. I feel a little sense of pride over what those kids did.

First, i'm giving it to the entire DL, but specifically Lowry, Clark, Preston, and Gary. Consistent pressure all night, squeezing pocket down. Murry had guys in his face when trying to go down field and when he tried to break contain, they contained him pretty much all night. That was no small task and they did it very well.

Campbell again just plays a solid game, he's a stud just for his consistency in run and pass game, every play, every game.

I know Douglas had the game winning pick, so he makes it for that. I think overall, the 2ndary played well, had some lapses, but largely played acceptable coverage and came up and tackled well, that's so important. It doesn't get a stud rating from me, but it's nice to see that consistency again and from a bunch of guys that maybe you wouldn't expect it from.

Our Punter can flip a field.

on offense, Rodgers, Dillon. Jones had some good plays and that TD was a nice power run, but I expect that and more from him. He didn't have a bad game, but i'm not giving him stud either. Dillon I felt was consistently more effective and that one run on 4th where he got nailed 2-3 yards deep in the backfield and got the first anyway. He took a heck of a shot and powered thru for enough. But all night long he was a battering ram. definite stud.

and Rodgers just orchestrates the whole thing. I thought he ran a pretty good offense, other than redzone. They're trying all sorts of things, but they need to figure out what is going to work.

The oline played adequately. Helped a lot by playcalling and considering all the shuffle and new guys it was pretty good, but I expect at least that level of line play so no stud rating from me.

Other than Dillon and Rodgers I think everyone else was just playing a part. They did some nice things at times, but no real "stud" performances for me. Maybe Cobb with big catches in the endzone, but otherwise very quiet.

Duds?

Injuries. I fear Tonyan is done. His knee got whipped and if it was just a strain, great, but I think he has multiple tears.

Fumbles. Young guys and we didn't lose any but those could have been bad LOL Hang on to that ball and Winfree I think would have had a TD had he secured that thing. Can't have those types of plays too many times against good teams, especially later in the year.

Not really a dud category, but I thought EQ, Amari, Malik had an opportunity to step up and none really did. EQ had a nice 4th down catch, he was definitely adequate, but was kind of hoping for a breakout game like Lazard has had, let me see 5-8 catches and bunch of yards one of these days please.

Great post overall, but I'm with you on Tonyan. And LaFleur's post game presser gives me absolutely no optimism that it's not as serious as we think. Thinking he's probably done for the year.

He crumpled to the turf like Jordy did in 2015. The injury epidemic doesn't look like its going to stop. If he has an ACL tear and is out for 10 months, he could resign with the Packers. Sad, but there is probably not a very good chance the Packers can sign him if he stays healthy and has a good season. Losing Tonyan for the season would really suck.

I'm hoping it's not one that lasts longer than that. I do not think it's going to be your run of the mill ACL tear or something.

...Gary- He picked a bad time to disappear. Other than a bad facemask, he was not a factor.

As another said he was doing a lot of contain and setting a nice edge, I'll add that on Black's pick inside their own red zone that Gary's hard rush in Murray's face forced the early throw which resulted in the interception.

Flat wrong. Gary and Preston, honestly the front was incredible. Disruptive at times to a level I hadn’t seen and lane discipline was incredible.

I mean the first and second team ALL Pros represent the consensus 44 best plays in the NFL, the elite of pro football. We were missing what 4 guys from the 2020 AP team. That is a ridiculous amount of talent to be playing without and on top of that we win on a road night game against a 7-0 team.

As for the OL as a unit I'd give them a stud rating. They did a good job opening holes in the run game and were adequate in the pass and I cant take away that they are short 2 starters with probably 2 guys playing out of position. As a unit they have performed very well this year. Still cant wait to get Bak and Myers back into the lineup and to see Jenkins at LG again. I expect this to be one of the best units in the league once that happens.

If Tonyan's gone for the season I guess it's Deguara's time to shine, saw a little bit of him last night and I guess we will see what the perfect MLF TE type can do for us.

Dud:

Didn't utilize Dillon enough. Granted his fumbling was a problem against WTF, but he's a big physical rested player. He was by far our most effective offensive weapon last night and IMO we should have gotten him at least another 4 carries, really wanted to see him with 20+ last night. Heck I would have aimed for 25+, just keep pounding them in the ribs. If they were having that hard of a time bringing him down in the second they werent going to get better against him in the 3rd and 4th quarters.

MLF system uses a TE like him often, but he and Tonyan are not interchangeable. That said we will see him, Dafney and possible if honest Tyler Davis take on the role by committee. We do not have another Tonyan style TE at the moment IMO

Studs: simply put, the TEAM. Truly gritty, tough win on the road against a good opponent, playing on a short turnaround and severely undermanned. Terrific game plan that was well executed on the field. I'm very proud of all the players and coaches.

Duds: severe injuries.
