Yeah guys.... haven't written here during the last games, but watched them all and again today. It is early in the morning here in Germany on Christmas Eve, just prepared the last christmas presents during the game - and the Packers also prepared a nice present for us - first shutout of the season and yeah - to be honest, i have to admit, that I did not expect the Packers to perform that well towards the end of the season. 11-6 was the result I hoped for a few games ago (but to be honest I expected worse) and they still have good chances to make it a 12-5 or even 13-4. Even without "the best Jordan Love" this team is able to dominate games, great defense performance and a good variability in the offense.

I am really happy with that season again and as we have seen last year - playoffs is a different spectacle than regular season, you can beat every other team and to reach the Super Bowl, it is very likely that we have to face either Vikings or Lions again. It is still such a young roster - looks like some really promising years are still to come. We will see, now I will prepare for the playoffs and hope that the Packers continue to improve with every remaining game and then everything seems possible :)

Merry Christmas to everyone here and every Cheesehead out there :)

I’m German on both sides. How come I get no Weihnachtens? Not even a Snitchel?!:coffee:
I'm a mongrel. 1/4 German, 1/4 Danish, and 1/2 French Canadian. Because of it, I like schnitzel, kringle, soupe aux pois (pea soup), and tourtière.

Tourtière is almost always made for Christmas. We passed on it this year, opting to go a different route. It's fried chicken today, shrimp scampi tonight, and prime rib tomorrow. We have kringle sent from Lehman's Bakery in Racine, WI every year just before New Years, so we have two of them for that holiday, for ourselves, and friends who stop over. Pea soup is always out there on New Years Eve. I think we'll end up with tourtière on New Years Eve. It would go nice with the pea soup, and with the left overs from both, for January 2nd, no cooking for my wife!

It's nice having a wife who loves to experiment in cooking and baking. She could have been a Michelin Star chef if she'd followed that path. Her career was in Human Resources. But man, can that lady cook! For Christmas, she made cookies, more cookies, and more cookies, along with haystacks and buckeyes. She sent packages over 10# to each of our kids, and grandkids. That's 10 boxes, over 100# of cookies, plus we have another 10 to 20# ourselves. Needless to say, I don't even want to know what the cost is. It's one of those things I tell her I am not on a "need to know" basis.

Seeing a lot of good things, but a couple of shaky things that'll get you killed in the playoffs against the best teams
Right now every team has some sliver that can get you killed in the postseason. Even KC. The question is can a team overcome the shaky parts. Playing at a higher level on GameDay, at crunch time, and calling upon experience are what show through when you need it.

Agree. As much as I'd love a nice 49-0 shutout... We got the vikes next week to prep for.
Lombardi had two 49-0 wins in the 1962 season. He was worried about trying to get his team motivated for the next game. But the Packers did win the ensuing games. Playing a team that has a better record than you in their building at this point in the season and in your division will be all that is needed to motivate this team this week.
