This is a terrible Seattle team. This is not the team last year or the year before that. They won't even make the playoffs this year. I predict an 8-8 for Seattle. Their Oline is dismal. Kam is not gonna play period. Their D is not motivated whatsoever. They still have Bevell running plays. Wilson is still runnin for his life 95% of the time.

I predict an easy win by GB. Greenbay 35 Seahawks 21

people were saying the same thing about Seattle at the beginning of last year too. That said, i think we were the better team last year and I think it again this year. Doesn't mean we get a "W" though I expect us to.

While a W is not guarantee I too think we will win... Wilson to me looks like he has some cutler in him, Kam does not look like he will play Sunday so that can have a demoralizing effect on the defense. Marshawn's mom is even stirring the Seahag pot. Lets no forget we have a healthy Rodgers playing this time. So it could be a great day for the Packers.

I'm optimistic about the game as well but let's not forget the Packers had a healthy Rodgers in week 1 last season and lost by 20 to the Seahawks.

Not if they start off like they did in week two last year.
I almost walked out of the stadium after the 1st quarter.
That was a putrid start.

I think Peppers will make some big plays in this game, Matthews will get to Wilson a couple of times and Shields returns a pick for a TD!

Rodgers I think at times does that on spite. I think he gets a high when its clutch time. It is like he is on another level, another dimension or something. Remember the Miami game last year? Rodgers seems to like those moments. I think Romo stole a Rodgers pill the last he was at Lambeau bc thats the only way I can logically explain how Romo pulled off the win against the Giants this past Sunday with a minute or so left on the clock.

Good lord. So many bandwagon fans here.

Seattle has gone through what we have gone through after every successful season. Losing good to great players after a good season due to FA (free agency). Their OLine is horrible, their main RB is getting older and they have lost a lot of talent on defense. There is no guarantee that we win, but the Hawks have lost a lot of talent and we have done a lot to replenish ours.

There is literally no team that has no weakness anywhere. None. We have some weakness against the run, but we have the best offense in the league. There is probably 5 or 6 teams with a real chance to win it all, but injury could change all of that for any team. But unless and until it does, we are a favorite, and it is because we reload every year. And we are loaded for Bear (pun intended) this year.

We are as good a shot to win it all as anyone, and unless something happens to change it, I would rather not have to listen to all the naysayers and false fans. Criticizing everything about a team is not being an " open minded and intelligent" fan, it is just the opposite. Which team is perfect? Which team is without flaw? If you love your Pack, then admit and understand that we, and every other team, has flaws. It is the ability to overcome those flaws that makes champions. We did it a few years ago with a record number of injuries, we can do it again. But please stop pretending that by being contrarian that you are such a better, smarter fan than every other fan for any other team. You're just a complainer. Stop it.

I believe we are going to win the Super Bowl. I do not believe we will go undefeated. But I believe we have a chance to win 14 games, give or take a game. I think we can be better than any other team. But certain injuries certainly could derail that. But who is better? Who is deeper? Who is stronger? No one. At this point.

To the naysayers, look up the definition of fan. Short for fanatical. If you are a naysayer, you are by definition not a fan.

Romo has actually way more fourth quarter comebacks than Rodgers. There are various reasons for that which have been discussed at length on this forum.

I really have no idea who you're directing this post at as I haven't seen anyone predicting the Packers will lose to the Seahawks. The forum would be really quiet and boring if all of us would praise the team to the skies with every single post and not talk about the shortcomings.

Yeah and lets not forget it was at Seattle on there banner night and they had a healthy Jeremy Lane, Kam Chancellor, Bryon Maxwell, Max Unger, James Carpenter, Tony Mcdaniel and Percy Harvin with some "un-scouted look" Gizmo offense that hadn't been figured out yet. There current secondary and offensive line are in shambles. Plus Lynch's miles are on "borrowed time." This is some team that "had" an elite defense and no big QB contract. They just coughed up 34 to the Rams. The juggernaut Rams offense.

This Seahawk team is an 8-8 team. Rams or Cards win the West. I believe your secret "Seahawk love affair" will be over soon.

No offence Brandon but, if you think the Seahawks are a "has been" team I don`t know what to say really. I didn`t grow up playing football etc, but even I know that team is still Dangerous. We take them for granted at our peril. IMHO

It's the NFL. the difference between 6-10 and 10-6 isn't that great. I never said they were a bad team. I said I predict em at 8-8. Obviously any team can get beat on "Any given Sunday."

Let me also say while I called Mike McCarthy out for being too brash last week, as a fan I am going to be brash this week and call my shots on this game with BOLD, and I mean extremely bold predictions here. Here they are:

1. Marshawn Lynch will not even break 100 yards. I say he gets held to 80 or less.

2. Russell Wilson gets sacked 5 times. We've dragged him to the turf before behind a stronger O-line and I think Julius Peppers is going to be playing so angry Sunday night that he is going to eat that guy alive. 5 sacks with 3 going to Peppers, 1 to CM3, and the other to Neal.

3. There are only 2 threats in that receiving corps, Jermaine Kearse and Jimmy Graham. And even if Graham did score a TD last week, he's been very much less effective than he was with Brees throwing him that ball.

4. Pete Caroll will get no ST breaks in this game and anything he tries is going to backfire with Ty Montgomery scoring TDs out of them.

On top of all these it would not matter if Kam was playing tomorrow night, he was nothing special against us in that NFC CG and for all that thing about him being such a physical hard hitting safety, Richard Rodgers plowed him over and wrecked him in that game and essentially rendered him ineffective.

We are going to win guaranteed tomorrow night.

To the naysayers, look up the definition of fan. Short for fanatical. If you are a naysayer, you are by definition not a fan.

I believe that you have two definitions incorrect:

band·wag·on (bandˌwaɡən/ noun
1. a wagon used for carrying a band in a parade or procession.
2. a particular activity or cause that has suddenly become fashionable or popular.

So, a "bandwagon" fan does not necessarily equate or have anything in common with a fan who displays negativism. It's someone who appears when the team is winning but disappears when the team is losing. So, in fact, bandwagon fans don't really complain much on forums. They just disappear until the team starts to win again.

fa·nat·i·cal (fəˈnadək(ə)l) adjective
1.
filled with excessive and single-minded zeal; "fanatical revolutionaries"
synonyms: zealous, extremist, extreme, militant, dogmatic, radical, diehard, intolerant, single-minded, blinkered, inflexible, uncompromising, hardcore "they are fanatical about their faith"

2. obsessively concerned with something. "he was fanatical about security at night"
synonyms: enthusiastic, eager, keen, overkeen, fervent, ardent, passionate; obsessive, obsessed, fixated, compulsive; wild, gung-ho, nuts, crazy, hog-wild; batshit "he was fanatical about tidiness"

We certainly have "fanatical" posters here. The adjectives listed above are most definitely accurate in describing some of the regulars (inflexible and uncompromising in particular!). Some are even full of "batshit", IMO. :)

However, note that there is no restriction for a fanatic to avoid using negative expressions on the topic that they are fanatic about.

In short, fanatics can be critical without losing the right to be called fanatic. Webster says so.
