Studs were mostly given.
Everybody played except der Kiser.
Haven't heard of any injuries yet.
Dud: the O-line was manhandled or stalemated more often than not. The offense sputtered because of it.
Whoever decided Josh Jackson only gets 3 defensive snaps.

Who is this guy in the final stats? T Lancaster DT 8 snaps. Never knew he was on the roster. He doesn't show up in the boxscore but he did play almost twice as many snaps as Adams.

As for Jones go back and watch his highlights against the Cowboys last year. Hes running behind a fullback quite a bit and he's making much of his own hay. Hes a runner with great vision and instinct who does all of the little things to create separation complete with head fakes step fakes leans and does it without sacrificing speed or forward progress. He
s great at leaving defenders guessing right up until he leaves them tackling air.
I'm never going to try and discount his running ability. It's there for everyone to see. He's good. Especially when there's space, a crease here, an opening there and then in wide open space he's just as good. But if there isn't, he's not getting 4 yards like Gurley, or even 3 like Willliams can, it's going to put us behind the chains.

I think he's great in that when the run is set up, he can make it hurt. I think if we try and used him to set up the pass, we'd be disappointed. I'm fine running out of passing looks with him. But maybe we get a FB back on the roster. Cut monty, bring up Kerridge. Cut monty, add Davis for kick and punt returns. I'm mostly hung upon cutting Monty right now :)

Dud: Todd Gurley

I'm reading that some folks are a little upset that he ran out the clock instead of taking the ball in for a score. With the TD he would have 1) covered the spread, 2) covered some over bets and 3) added to his fantasy point total.

Todd wants you to believe that you should, "Forget fantasy and forget Las Vegas. We got the win, so that's all that matters."

Stud: Todd Gurley

I hear you, man. But get used to it. It's only getting worse.

Good for Gurley. Vegas, fantasy and Madden can all suck it as far as i'm concerned :)

Monty has become a player of diminishing returns, no pun intended. He once looked like an up and coming wide receiver, with some decent KO return ability. He once looked like a promising RB and a threat out of the backfield as a receiver. He has to be feeling like sh*t today for letting his teammates down, but I won't be surprised to see him cut....nor will I be surprised to see MM stick with him.

Zook has to be a bit nervous about his longevity in Green Bay as well.

Gurley's play at the end of the game was just plain smart football! Have to wonder if any of the Packer players have been coached well enough to do that?

Clay Matthews has had an uptick in his play lately, seems that reducing his snap percentage agrees with him. He has been making big plays in big moments throughout this season.

Matthews played very well yesterday. On his early sack he look like the old clay. Get rid of the blocker, strong burst to the quarterback.

I think you just have to treat him like other aging vets, make sure he gets his rest and keep him fresh.

One need not be a god to follow a simple instruction to drop to a knee. Being a human is usually sufficient for something like that.
There is a reason why we sit here on our phones or computers on the forum and don't have jobs anywhere in pro football.
It's because compared to those that do have the jobs, we don't know jack sh*t about the game.

I guess I'm just more willing to be forgiving to Ty than the majority on here.
Even if he had taken the knee we probably would have lost the game anyway because the Rams are better than us.

I’m fine with your first sentence. The last earned the red X.

I don't know why most folks here find this so hard to do but if you hit the "Disagree" button on someone, back it up with why you did it.

What Montgomery did had nothing to do with knowing about the game of football or not. It had everything to do with listening to simple instructions from your bosses, remaining disciplined and focused when your teammates are counting on you most, and putting your own selfish motives aside in the heat of the moment.

I wish there was a facepalm option instead of disagree because that's what your post deserves. You're literally saying Monty taking a knee wouldn't have made a difference in the game because Rodgers would probably have failed in driving the offense down the field about 50 yards in two minutes and five seconds for a game winning field goal attempt with one time out and the two minute warning at his disposal. You do know who Aaron Rodgers is, right?

There are just too many variables for blaming one guy for a loss in a team sport.
Like when a player scores a TD on a three yard pass.
We forget all about the previous plays that led to that even if there was a 45 yard play that put them there.
Same thing here.
A lot of you are forgetting all the stuff that happened before the final seconds that let the Rams win.

It's not his fault he fumbled the ball when the defense or other team is doing all they can to knock it out of his arm.

I really think we need to invest in our O line. I'd grab another Guard and another Tackle (preferable guys that can play 2 positions if needed) after this season is over. Id like to see us get one before the end of second day draft at minimum and another solid prospect in FA, none of this Bell stuff either we need a presumed starter who can blow a defender off the line in the run game. If we want to be a contender we should always be able to get 1 yard.
Also Aaron Rodgers is getting routinely punished too early. It's time to protect our 30M+ investment.

I don't hear a lot of people blaming Monty for the loss, but most are blaming him for the lost opportunity of possibly winning the game. Sometimes its difficult to point to one play or another as to it being the sole reason that you got beat, same thing could be said about a win. It takes a team to win or lose a game. Also, most mistakes are made within the scope of playing the game as instructed. However, there is no doubt what Monty did was totally outside the scope of what he was told and should have known to do as a player and a teammate.

You are right, fumbles are a part of the game. What isn't suppose to be a part of the game is not listening to the explicit instructions of a coach and putting yourself in a position to fumble, that he is at fault with. If MM told Rodgers to secure a victory at the end of a game by kneeling down and AR said "screw that, I can put up an easy TD" and did his own thing, no matter if he completes the pass or tosses an interception, he would be at fault of not following instructions.
