STUDS:

Jacobs (of course). Broke the Niner's 44-game streak of not allowing a 100-yard rusher, and scored 3 TDs (tied his career high). The game plan relied on him to carry the team, and he did it.

Matt Lafleur. This was a good game plan, and he had them ready to execute it (for the most part). I wasn't crazy about those three pass plays at the ernd ofg the 1st half, though.

The D. They dominated most of the game, and took the ball away 3 times.

The whole team. They stepped up, rose to the challenge, and smacked the bejeebus out of one of their biggest rivals - a team that's had our number for most of the last 30 years. This probably eliminates San Francisco from the playoffs, and I think I saw that this was the largest margin of victory ever in a Packer win over the Niners.

The Packers had a job to do, and they did it, dominating time of possession 36-23.

DUDS:

Not many... Quay Walker, for saying "excuse me sir" and jumping out of the way for George Kittle to score an easy TD.

Can't really think of many others at the moment, i'm too happy to be critical.

Thought MLF would just play for the FG in the first half. But you could see they saw something on film. For Watson to be that open when you are playing kind of a prevent surprised me.

Duds - the 49'er faithful who normally drop by to impart their pre-game wit and wisdom were nowhere to be seen this week. Perhaps they'll stop by and fill us in on how much better the 9'ers are than their record indicates.

Studs: Game balls for everyone - good team win. Given the circumstances the 9'ers found themselves in, the Pack won convincingly - as they should have. I'm tired of beat up teams coming in and putting up the "gallant effort" only to fall short because they ran out of time.

I thought Van Ness made a boneheaded play lining up in the neutral zone. Well before the snap I told my wife that the guy is offside. Now he did force a fumble. Fortunate, that Purdy did not play.

1. Jacobs : self explanatory, he was the man today
2. MLF's Game Plan : Didn't abandon the run (42 runs today), 5-5 in the Red Zone
3. Defense : 10 pts allowed, 3 turnovers, 2 Sacks, 2 4th down stops, less than 250 yds in offense allowed, only 44 yds rushing on 16 carries.

Duds: No Duds, just some Dud plays
1. Watson TD drop: would have been a huge answer after the 49ers TD before the half.
2. Enagbare and Van Ness both lining up offsides.... that just is inexcusable
3. The next 2 plays after Watson's drop... they did not need to throw deep 3 plays in a row. They had 2 timeouts, and needed about 12 yds for a comfortable FG try.

This was a good team win that they needed to have. This win almost cements a playoff spot, and all you need is a ticket to the dance and hope you get hot at the right time.

Yeah, I think you must be right, but I'm not seeing it yet. I just rewatched those 3 snaps 4 or 5 times on NFL Network, and I wasn't able to figure out how he was getting open. He didn't have much separation, but at least 2 of those balls were catchable.

So I'm not sure what the defense was giving him - the pre-snap formations looked like they had good coverage called. I'd like to watch it again Monday or Tuesday when the All-22 is up.

So the craziest thing I'm laying by the Palisades of the Kentucky river, bleeding out dead as a doornail and Jesus Christ.......old JC himself........came and resurrected me and said "we just gotta exercise the last of the demons this year(somebody in the family who will not be named, not Papa Bear....but y'all can guess..... he/she did some very very very very, very bad things.....and so this is the atonement that has had to be made.
Let's just say the 85' season he/she sold his/her soul for the best team in NFL history. I mean......who else makes a video in week 13 bragging about how they're gonna win the Super Bowl and then pitches back to back playoff shutouts and then has the largest margin of victory in a Super Bowl up to that point!!!!

And then..........everybody made lots of deals with " you know who" to have the Cubs win in 2016.......and now.....with the two combined "curses" we are reaping the whirlwind!!!
It's gotta be true because it's been so awful. But JC has promised next year....it's all good.
He also smiled and winked and said I can't guarantee it.....but if the Packers need to beat the Bears to get into the playoffs at the end of the season, mark my words, it's gonna be a merry Christmas in your household.

So, with that promise in hand, I agreed to be resurrected and come back to the world of the living. As you can all see.....my wife was devastated by my demise(lol) and even sent a message to you guys. I heard about that....and thank yall for treating her with the respect that a widow deserves...well most of y'all ....(you know who you are ...)

So.....everything is cool. I'm now drinking a beer contemplating the mysteries of life and the fact that Jesus is real, i've been resurrected and saved and all that good shiite.....but I absolutely don't recommend anybody else try what I did because I am a pretty funny guy and Jesus obviously loves me..... now I suppose he loves you good hearted, good natured otherwise fine folks, except for being Packers fans but hey..... nobody's perfect, right. Yeah, I think you must be right, but I'm not seeing it yet. I just rewatched those 3 snaps 4 or 5 times on NFL Network, and I wasn't able to figure out how he was getting open. He didn't have much separation, but at least 2 of those balls were catchable.

So I'm not sure what the defense was giving him - the pre-snap formations looked like they had good coverage called. I'd like to watch it again Monday or Tuesday when the All-22 is up.

The first one he was wide open and had an easy touchdown. The pass was perfect. Watson doesn't track the ball well on long passes and doesn't adjust his body correctly when the ball is in flight. The difference between Doubs and Watson in their receiving skills is night and day.

Love: He's again reverted back to the 1st half of last season. If he's gonna play one half of a bad season every year AND get injured the salary is too big, and the decision to make him QB of the future is starting to look questionable.

DBs: I don't care if we're on our 7th and 8th CBs playing against the Chiefs....with as often as Stokes and Alexander are injured our guys are playing enough that this BS play like we saw at times today should no longer be a problem. Unacceptable performance today.

Stud: Josh Jacobs and those 5 OL just beat the crap out of SF. Sean Rhyan, Yes, Josh Myers and Jenkins just bullied the SF interior.

The Big Ugly Guys did a hell of a job today; they should be proud.

That D line isn't quite so frightening when you take away Nick Bosa, is it? He not only changes the way the entire defensive line plays, but the way the O line plays as well. The O line has a lot more flexibility in their game plan when the #1 priority on the list is not "neutralize Nick Bosa", and the #2 priority "stop Nick Bosa", and #3 "control Nick Bosa."

Watson has tremendous downhill speed. MLF tends to believe that any one of his guys can win a one on one battle. Some of the plays appear to be low % throws.The Niners were not able to make a pick. Evidence the double coverage on Doubs when he suffered his concussion resulting in an interference penalty. If we were playing the Vikings I doubt we try to take those shots unless the game was on the line.
