Brandon2348 how's that hangover friend?

You can probably put your inhaler away now, FA and the Packers met on the redline bus on the way to the scap heap, decided to see if they could make some things work out.

Welcome to 2019 boys. Embrace the chaos.

Za'Darius Smith and Adrian Amos on Day 2, not a bad haul at all. Tomorrow we can hopefully find out the money situation.

Based on today's action, I'm now even more intrigued on Clay, Cobb, and Perry.

I'm also wondering if Jones and Brice are now expendable, but that could be a preseason decision.

No reason to get rid of Jones, he is on a rookie deal and cutting him only saves $849,856.

Brice on the other hand, I won't blink if the Packers don't resign him.

Don't count on him being remotely satisfied. He would have preferred us give a record setting deal to a box safety. Because if history has shown us anything, it's that success in the league lies in trying to outbid Dan Snyder.

Perry’s gone IMO. Cobb and/or Clay might stick around only for a huge price reduction from their previous contracts

With Brice being a restricted free agent I wouldn't mind the Packers bringing him back for cheap to compete for a roster spot.

A penny saved is a penny earned. At the point I don't see Jones ever playing consistently at S. He needs to put on 15-20lbs and play ILB to fit in our current scheme.

Actually the Packers releasing Jones only creates an additional $545K in cap space this season. In my opinion that's not worth it.

While I understand that, you still have to round a team off with some experienced depth, which Jones has. I think he has been a disappointing 2nd round pick, but for the money, he is a good depth guy. Still want to see the Packers draft a Safety or 2, but the pressure of spending a high pick or finding one to start immediately has been relieved quite a bit with Amos.

I think with both of these moves, it still leaves everything on the table in terms of draft. It still depends on where we are picking and what value they put on the players themselves. Assuming an edge guy is rated above the other tackles, db's, safeties, TE's, guards etc, they'll still pick one. If all other value is picked over at othe rpositions but a guy you think is a playmaking safety is there, we still need another one, I think they'd take him with our later pick. With needs at DL, OL, and the rest, I don't see any position off limits in the first 2 rounds for this team.

I've been reading the message boards for both the Ravens and Bears this morning. The overall sense is that both of these players will be missed and were respected by the fans. The Bears are pissed Amos went to a rival and stays in the North.

Good moves, Gute!

Preston Smith reportedly now too. Rushers on Rushers.

Gentleman at work is a big Skins fan, said he shows signs of greatness and has the skills to be a stud, but for some reason he only shows it about 30% of the time. Hopefully Pettine brings out the other 70%

Preston Smith too?! Slow down Gute! Trying to go undefeated or something?

I guess Clay will be a Ram next year...

with smith too, I think edge guy moves down a bit. Still not completely off table, but I find it much more unlikely early

Brandon, can you please apologize now to the Packers organization about your kneejerk reaction to not signing players before FA had actually begun?

I'd still take Devin White or Ed Oliver at 12th. I MIGHT be tempted if DK Metcalf is there though....

Preston Smith deal is 4yr/$52M with $16M guaranteed. Didn't expect his price to be that high....

Not a fan of this third signing fiscally, despite excited for defensive impact. I agree on Devin White. LB of his quality there I find it hard to believe anyone else is still there higher on best available, but that is my board and I'm no expert.

Devin White has comparisons to Johnathan Vilma, but I compare him to Ray Lewis with his 4.42 speed. We all wanted Roquan Smith, White is considered to be even better. You can't pass that up in my opinion.

Adrian Amos deal is 4yr/$37M

Packers set to sign OG Billy Turner. Turner was the 33rd best Guard according to PFF.

EDIT - Turner is 4yr/$28M.

This changes the Draft projections quite a bit.

A commodity is something like copper. All copper is just copper. QBs in the NFL are NOT commodities! Blake Bortles is not identical to Aaron Rodgers.

Back to free agents I would like to see in Green Bay; how about Teddy Bridgewater. It would sure be nice to have a decent backup QB on the roster.
you could say that AR is a >95% pure version of copper while bortles is <60% pure, this does occur in nature with certain elements.
