Whenever the Packers decide to take their cap medicine, it's going to hurt, but let's keeping pushing!

100% setting up a very hurt filled year at some point. Bad thing is I suspect it will end Rodgers career sourly or start Love's so badly he has no chance of success....in the mean time though HAMMER DOWN!

AJ Green to Arizona.

They paid him 8 million bucks too.

I never thought we had a chance at him. But that makes me wonder what Arizona's Draft plan is, I had them pegged to move up and take Pitts, which they very well may still do.

I think the idea is to have 6-8 core guys you pay the big bucks and work to backfill them when the time comes. Going to have to continue to identify and draft good talent and develop them well. Jones and Z.Smiths contracts look very ripe for the possible jettisoning of those guys after the 22 and 21 season respectively. I think we’ll definitely see at least one Edge and RB taken in the upcoming draft in preparation for that day. It’s great to have 10 draft picks.

I would say we could wait til the '22 Draft for another RB seeing as we have both Jones and Dillon til '23.

I'd look for us to take a HB at some point on day 3. If anything happens to Jones or Dillon, we'd be ******. We don't currently have a 3rd option. Who knows maybe said day 3 pick could develop into a star like Jones did, and we'd have a 3 headed monster. Someone I like in that range and could fill the Ervin role is Pooka Williams, or Demetic Felton.

Having that two headed beast for a while longer on lock, would cause me if I'm Gute sitting there between say a CB or a DL or really any position and a RB at the top of my board equally to ignore the RB.

I do like Pookah, like Felton too. But for me it's gotta be there's nobody left on Day 3 before I pull the trigger. Plus there's UDFAs as well. I know signing a vet is taboo, but that's always on the table too if the price is right. There's bound to be somebody who either gets released after camp that we could stash on the PS for injury, and Ervin just might come back himself.

Not too mention Felton for certain is long gone before Day 3.

Some priority UDFA that may miss being drafted I like:

CJ Marable out of Coastal Carolina
Shakif Seymore out of Toledo
Stevie Scott III out of Indiana
Asim Rose Jr. out of Kentucky
Brenden Knox out of Marshall
Josh Johnson out of UL Monroe

Jc Jackson was given the 2nd round tender by the patriots.... would he be better than anyone they can realistically get in the draft?

Idk if gutey could put together a contract for him cap wise that the patriots wouldn't match. Unless maybe they don't wanna match

17 ints in his first 43 games

Yeah I doubt they could afford to offer him something that wouldn’t be matched.

I also really don’t trust guys who have played well for Belichick. Rare is the guy who leaves there and maintains level of play.

I think it would be much smarter to just pay someone like Xavier Rhodes to bridge the gap than pay a big contract and a 2nd for Jackson.

Casey Hayward would make an excellent outside corner opposite Alexander. Also would like Adoree Jackson, Desmond King, or Troy Hill to help supplement a somewhat barren cornerback room.

Jackson would help the return game as well.

YES, ALL OF THOSE.

JC Jackson would have been a lock for the 3rd Round, possibly earlier if it hadn't been for his being caught up with the wrong people at the University of Florida. He's a physical corner, not necessarily fast or twitchy, but like you said, 17 INTs means great instincts, technique, and ball skills. I don't care how good Belichick is, you don't just manufacture that.
