People need to realize even with 8 sacks a year Perry is a very good player bc his run defense is terrific

Yes, but sadly, some of us remember just how good Clay once was and that was over a number of years. Perry's injury history and really only one big year, definitely causes some deserved concern over a big long term contract.

Wouldn't Lang be considered #2 guard on market?
From what I have read, yes. Behind Kevin Zeitler. Possibly Lang, his agent and the Packers/other teams are watching what Zeitler signs for to set Lang's value.

Yet another former Badger O-lineman making it big in the NFL....something to be said about "growing up on a farm" in Wisconsin! :D

Ron Leary is signing a 4 year, $35,000,000 contract with the Denver Broncos, including $20,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8,750,000.

Shows you just how good the Dallas line is/was....Leary wasn't even projected to be a starter in 2017.

Think we are starting to see a clear picture of what it is going to take to sign Lang.

The question I have is whether Lang gets a little more than a guy like Leary because he's a better player, or a little less because he's older and coming off an injury. Regarless, he's going to be right in that 8-9M range.

One positive piece of data: It's really hard to find an 11 sack guy in recent history who just totally collapsed.

Actual numbers for Bitonio are reported as 5/51, which sets the market higher for Lang than the originally reported 8.5M.

The Packers didn't tender Jayrone Elliott but still want to bring him back. He's exploring other options as well though.

The Buccaneers just signed Desean Jackson. So they now have Mike Evans, Vincent Jackson, and Dasean Jackson.

Then in NYG you have OBJ, Sheppard, and Marshall......not to mention Julio Jones, Gabriel, and Sanu in ATL. Yea don't worry about upgrading the corner spot at all  let's just all pray we score 35 a game. Which still probably won't be enough to win.

Apparently the vikings are making a big move for Jeffrey. Very surprising considering they still don't have an olineman

Texans trading Osweiller to Browns.
Browns get Osweiller and 2nd and 6th rounder. Texans get Osweiller off their books and a 4th rounder. A very NBA-style trade. Seems like a surprisingly savvy move from the Browns.

What the Packers were competing with (if Bouye was on TT's radar):

A.J. Bouye to Jaguars on five-year, $67 .5 million deal $13 .5 million annually

For comparison to Bouye, Gilmore's deal with NE is reportedly 5/65

Also, not a signing but relevant to us in the North and I don't think mentioned yet in this thread, the Lions have cut Deandre Levy
