At least there is competition right behind him with Gary if he doesn't put it together.

The only thing I can guess is that they are asking him to rush less and stay back of the line of scrimmage due to the ILB position being pretty weak. Even if that is the case, I just don't see him around the ball like he seemed to be last season.

They've been having him drop back into coverage alot this year.

He even has a quote talking about "Smith Island" from when he was asked about how he felt about it

Studs; Jordan Love and MLF....For apparently putting a fire under #12 ***. That was a great show by Aaron Rodgers. (Yeah, I said that)
A legitimate running game too.

Duds; Whoever designed those tie dye caps that I saw Patrick wearing. Wtf ??

Alright honestly while ATL was depleted (they had more issues than even us) this was solid win...I'll give my STUD nods to:

MLF - Gameplan GENIUS...beginning of second half was odd, but GENIUS
Rodgers - Dude just looks crisp...even misses are catchable BUT VERY TOUGH...think that back shoulder to MVS in endzone.
Williams - More snaps than normal and delivered...he is proving to be more versatile than many realize he is. I fear this is his last year in GB because of it.
Barnes - Led the defense, maybe not in stats but dude was always near or around the ball, plugging gaps or covering TE/RBs...I knew this kid could make a roster - but never expected this much.
HUSTLING - Tonyan falling and getting up for a TD, Savage missing tackle and getting up and back in for the tackle, Barnes backside pursuit, Lancaster pushing while grounded...there was a lot of hustle type plays I saw last night and LOVED it.

Duds
If nitpicking can isolate a play here or there for some, but I don't see any glaring items...maybe:

-as @buggybill2003 said the tie dye hat designer
-the refs, missed minimum 3 obvious facemask calls and maybe a 4th on us...not the maybe variety but the clear "head ******" type.

Tonyan- becoming what I thought he could. Things are coming together and when the ball comes his way he's catching it. not just doing the stat stuff either, blocking and doing the things a good TE must do.

Jones- is Jones

Jamal has always been underrated by fans here. he and Mercedes (out last night) have to be 2 of the best pass protectors in the NFL that aren't offensive tackles. Atlanta was trying to pressure Rodgers because that was there only hope, they didn't have the horses in the back to actually play a defending defense so we had Williams in there a lot. He's a solid runner and I think for all the talk about Jones and Ervin catching the ball, I think Williams is probably the best pass catcher out of the backfield.

Rodgers everyone sees why.

Have some pretty good "solids" from last night

Everyone's favorite whipping boy King was having a pretty good game until he went out. A couple of our TFL's or bigger plays on defense, he was there doing dirty work. I wouldn't exactly call him a stud, very solid, but every mistake or play made on him and many act like it's common place. Atlanta really started getting to the edge in the run game when he went out.

Alexander, Amos. Savage is up and down, can clearly see the talent there to be a big time playmaker, but isn't quite there yet. has some lapses.

Keke had a pretty good game and Lancaster seems to be coming around. He was pretty stout in most plays last night. Lowry was just ok, but he's clearly not giving us what he has in past years. he's not on my solid list, he's just being made mention of while I talk about the rest :)

No duds really. Tackling I guess. it's frustrating, but is what it is at this point. They're up and they have moments and drives that just make you ask, WTF? The good news is we're winning and they have room to really improve. They put teams in positions that will stress them offensively, but then they routinely give it up many times while "almost making" the play. a tick faster on somethings and they could really be shutting some teams down. so close, yet so far away.

Studs - MLF. Top two wide receivers out? no problem. the game planning, play calling, and creativity continue to impress.
Rodgers. The old machine like efficiency is back, and he's relaxed and having fun.
The team as a whole . the kind of game and opponent where you would expect a letdown, yet they were still sharp and easily handled business. That's a mark of a very good team.
Dud- Matt Ryan. I was surprised at how much he has declined.

Can we also include Danica Patrick as well for Stud? Rodgers I believe mentioned that he's been extremely happy since the break up.

Studs:

MLF - All that movement on the line, backs for receiving, TEs involved...it's a dynamic, fluid, interesting...and a powerful unit!
Tonyan
Aaron Jones & Jamaal Williams - Showed their versatility. They are a proper duo now.
AR12 - On target and efficient. Back to top form!

Duds:
Shepard for not getting that TD.

Studs: Tonyan, Rodgers, Jones, Williams, D line, Greene,
duds: nobody really. Don't know why some are so down on Shepard. He caught a very nice contested 15 yarder at the beginning of the game and his catch at the goal line was not easy. Actually, I thought LaFleur should have thrown the flag on that one because he might have been in. Then there was a couple long passes that probably should not have been thrown.

i've seen mvs and shepherd mentioned as duds. that's silly. when our 3rd and last on the depth chart WR's get 6 catches (4 and 2 respectively), with mvs clearly getting the most serious coverage by the falcons, you can't call them duds. they did their jobs and made plays.

Jennings since the sex change operation. ;)

LOL.....omg....literally spit my coffee!!

His new Girlfriend is reportedly 28 year old actress Shailene Woodley. She starred in the Divergent movie series. Evidently, Danica introduced her to Aaron. :whistling:

While I didn't call them Duds, they were the #1 and #2 WR's starting the game last night, really doesn't matter where they are on the depth chart IMO. Neither of them impressed me that much and I think we would have seen the same production out of _________________ (insert random names here). The Falcons were forced to play their #5 and #6 safeties and I believe had only one regular starter at CB, Adams would have 200 yards last night against that secondary.

Studs: Rodgers, Tonyan, Z. Smith, Jones and Williams.

If I had to pick a dud in the game, it would be LeFleurs playcalling when they were on the one yard line and didn't get it in. Not very creative there and rather frustrating. Even I could figure out that running wasn't going to get it done.

Things went better than I anticipated. Tonyan was on point. He is going to be an outstanding TE if he keeps this up.

The defense wasn't superb, but they pretty much held Jones, who was not himself and Ridley in check. Z. Smith got several sacks and all I can say is, it's about time. For the most part I was pleasantly surprised. I was concerned that it would be a shoot out and would be a lot closer than it was.

It's nice to see Rodgers utilizing the tools that he has instead of trying to make something happen, which is what he has done in the past. He is learning to play within the system. For a while I couldn't figure out why they were not using A. Jones more. Then they said that they were not trying to over using him.

Hope the guys rest up. Heal up and don't do anything stupid.

sure...because he's elite and number one on the depth chart. but maybe...had he played, they'd have given him the most serious coverage and maybe mvs goes off.

Uhmmmm yeah.... Adams is better then MVS. No ****. Who would've thought such a thing?

A few have already alluded to it, but seriously...Matt LaFleur deserves so much credit for what he's been able to do in 1 1/4 seasons.

18-4, an offense averaging 38 a game, and having Aaron Rodgers looking the best he has looked since late 2016. Rodgers is as sharp as ever, but LaFleur's scheme combined with Rodgers talent is looking like a lethal combination.

Huge props to MLF.

Check that, this is the best hes looked since 2011.

My point to the OP was that neither WR did anything all that special and given the defense they were facing, I would have at least expected more out of MVS.

Sorry to have insulted your intelligence by somehow getting you to actually think that I was implying that either of them should have been better than Adams.

Not all that big a fan of the revelation. Was hoping he’d fly solo for a while. Hope that neither wants it to get serious. Would rather see him blitzed on every play. This is significantly and potentially more dangerous.
