Exactly!! I'm already on record with Packers 37 - 9'ers 35 but will enjoy the show whatever happens. GB has many, many great years ahead.

Apparently, a radio station app sent out a broadcast text to subscribers about the halftime entertainment at the Super Bowl.
This is from the "Things that make you go hmm..." department.

Conspiracy theorists are smart about one thing, there are plenty of sheep to be grifted and sheared out there. The internet has finally given them a voice and a large audience of people that need a different narrative to explain the alternative reality that they seem to have found themselves in.

But to me there are two big keys to this game.
1) Is it 4th & inches or a first down on a crucial drive. Catch or not? DPI or letting them play? But we called it the other way when the defense' team had the ball. How do the zebras call it?
2) Star / stud player has been ruled out for the game with a stinger / some leg injury.

LeFluer, in my mind is still chasing Shanahan - they're besties if you believe the press - and I have to think that in this case, the teacher has spanked the student. Frankly ... our losses to the 9'ers have been the result of their staff making our staff look 3rd tier
One big difference. This is the first time MLF has had a QB willing and able to run the offense that he has envisioned since he arrived, and for the past month, as his young, talented pass catchers have transitioned from being rookies to no longer rookies, they have run it to near perfection. I honestly don't know how you shut it down. But maybe they do. We'll find out.

Agree and this can't be emphasized enough. This is finally being realized (MLF is running the show) by a lot of the media and being discussed. Packers OC Stenavich even acknowledged the other day that Rodgers was pretty much running his own plays for the offense.

You know, I just noticed this, both #1 seeds are playing tomorrow. So that means the #1 seed now gets 13 days rest, and goes up against a team that only gets 6 days to prepare. That's a big advantage. So how is it we were the #1 seed two years in a row and couldn't get out of the conference?

Id rather be where we are now. Look at when we was the #1 seed in 2021. Right now, no pressure, low expectations, and a ton of momentum. All the pressure is off of the Packers this year.

We and others have all gone over the captain obvious keys to victory. Don't turn the ball over. Don't drop passes. No killer penalties. Tackle well. Focus and execute.
But to me there are two big keys to this game.
1-the 49ers are always known for their physical play. The Packers have to match that physicality.
1A-this game will be decided in the pits. If the Packers can hold their own or win the lines of scrimmage, their chances of winning go up exponentially.
No matter what, I'm proud of this bunch and I'm just going to sit back and enjoy this game tonight. Don't just be happy to be here fellas. Focus, give everything you've got, and what will be will be. Go Pack!
Good post.

I also wonder if MLF might have to go a little Dan Campbell today and gamble on a few 4th downs that previously he would have played it safe on?

Depends on the success, or lack of, by the D. If the D is able to force a few punts then MLF won't need to gamble. If the D struggles then MLF will want to use all 4 downs to keep the offense on the field & win time of possession.

While I fully agree with you, one might also say that if the Packers offense gets out of the gate fast, like they did in Dallas, it gives the Packers defense an advantage. Now if running the planned offense does that, great, but when you go into a game as such a big underdog and on the road, throwing a few curve balls (fake punt, long pass on 4th and 1, etc.) early, might be the advantage you need to eventually win the game.

Jordan Love 23 of 33 for 267 yards 2 tds
Aaron Jones 21 carries for 119 yards and 1 td

Those are their averages over the last 11 games for Love and the last 4 for Jones. I think they come up even bigger than average today so lets call it...

30 of 38 for 326 yards and 4 tds for Love

And

23 carries for 146 yards and 2 tds for Jones

Big games from as well...

Christian Watson 4 receptions for 126 yards and 2 tds

Jayden Reed 6 catches for 83 yards and 1 td

Luke Musgrave 6 catches for 67 yards and 1 td

I'm all for going for any 4th and under 5 past midfield all the way down to the 15. Situation dependent, of course. Partly because it's generally correct analytically and partly because I don't particularly trust our kicker from 32-50.

I'm to the point where I think we should *probably* be going for 2 after touchdowns and obviously a kicker who is under 88% on PATs does not help.

I want to see Barry go out and be a junkball pitcher. Throw things at SF that aren’t on tape. Blitz corners, drop linemen, mug fronts, play some man, whatever. Stupid stuff. Get weird.

The defense is going to give up drives and points today. Personnel wise, they’re outclassed. So get funky and see if you can steal a possession or two.

This is a pressure game. Let's hope they handle it. I think they will.

I know this has been stated before, a playoff game at 7:00 P.M. central, is IMO, dumb. We really need to get the NFL to make these games earlier. But to stay on topic, everyone should just be happy we're here, this team exceeded all my expectations and I'm just super happy for them.

What is more logical.

The NFL is rigging all the games so they get a matchup that they want (even though everyone is generally going to watch the Super Bowl regardless)

OR

A low level intern took a pre-formatted script message and just sent it out because he is more interested in Quidditch than Football and has absolutely no idea of what is going on in the NFL.

Watching the Packers against the 49ers is like looking in a mirror. Both teams are built similarly, and both have their strengths and weaknesses. In fact, both Head Coaches come from the Bill Walsh tree of coaching.

Enjoy the game. The 49ers are more experienced, and the Packers are very young, and will be even stronger next year. Half of the players that are in our lineup haven't even began to near their prime.

No matter what happens against the 49ers, the Packers are winners. Nobody thought they'd ever make it this far. Enjoy the ride.

If we lose, next year is going to be even better. If we lose, nobody expected us to win anyway. We're playing on house money.
Yes, this is a season that exceeded expectations including a big win over the #2 seed. Think of all the seasons past that we did very little with a roster of much more.

What would a matchup like the Texans and Bucs for the SB do to the networks?

What a 38 vs 40. Not enough to even remotely sway me to think that the NFL is going to rig games. Does the NFL have a desired outcome? Absolutely.

I mean hey.. if people want to think someone is out to get their team, have at it. If I thought the NFL was going to rig the SB matchups this year I'd think it would be the 49ers v Chiefs for the Swift eyeballs.

Gonna nitpick. If you would not have put "just" in there (2x); I would have liked it.

I guess I would ask, what does an investigation that proves without a doubt that the NFL has been fixing games all these years do? The NFL doesn't need to fix games to be successful, it would be about the stupidest business decision ever.

I have to admit. That is one huge conspiracy theory which lends itself to everything in life being rigged.
