I like the plan of piling on Zeke's neck and making Dak beat the Packers with his arm.
We pretty much have to change things up to stop the run this week. The only problem I have with your statement is that if it doesn't work, Skip Bayless is going to be crowing about how Dak Prescott outplayed Aaron Rodgers again.

I have more faith in our ability to throw than some of you.
I have faith in our ability to throw. I don't have as much faith in the ability of our guys to catch the ball, especially if Adams isn't playing. Jimmy Graham, I'm looking at you.

I have more faith in our ability to throw than some of you. Especially since dallas's DB situation is not the greatest.
In 2014 (Davantes first season) we played the Jets in the home opener. After starting 0-1 we got off to a terrible start that day. The play that changed the momentum was a double TE set and we sent Jordy on a go route. He stuck it and scored an 80 yard TD and we never looked back.

I’d like to see us challenge Dallas early by sending MVS on a few deep routes with a max protection call. All he needs is a little Juke move inside then slant to his strong side and let Aaron rip the ball a couple times. If nothing else it keeps the D honest. You get a big play and that loosens the Defense underneath.
I pray we don’t keep throwing screens -4 yards behind the LOS or we’ll get battered for a -2. We need more innovation this game.

We need to fix the run D as I'm sure the plan for Dak to throw more will be #1 in their lists. Can't allow both run and pass to dominate us.

The Packers pass defense hasn't been dominated this season, not even against the Eagles.

This site is saying the Packers are ranked 11th in red zone: https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct?date=2019-09-30

According to Football Outsiders the Packers offense ranks eighth in both points and touchdowns per red zone opportunity.

https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/drivestatsoff/2019

Both D's (NO & Dallas) looked great last night. I'm VERY worried that our O-line will get overwhelmed, AR will have 2 seconds maximum, and AR will be throwing it away or taking big hits.

I'd love to see GB come out in 1WR, 2TE, FB & RB sets consistently ~ run the ball, run some more, and occasionally hit a TE over the middle or a back swinging out. WR is decoy 95% of the passes attempted ~ tell AR he gets to throw 3 passes max. to the WR all night & to use those 3 wisely. Without committing to the run this O will shrivel and die ~ time for the line to take some pride in the run game.

The Packers will need to successfully throw the ball to have a chance to win at Dallas. While it would be great to establish the run the offensive line struggles to block for it.

You can’t put “too much stock ” in this something that is costing you games. Their inability to sustain drives and score points is nothing to brush off. Give me a break

You understand there's first and second down as well, don't you???

Hell Brady and the Pats looked bad against Buffalo yesterday

The Bills defense is absolutely legit.

Until GB commits to some kind of running attack the offense will stagnate.

It doesn't make any sense for the Packers to commit to running the football as the line is struggling to open holes for Jones.

If the cowboys see what I have seen the last three games, they will keep the ball on the ground and run it down our throats. I do not know what's wrong with our run defense but I look for another lose if it cannot be fixed.

Now adams will not be available so essentially our receiving unit will be non existent. This is not looking good at all.

Nobody cares what somebody named "Skip" says or thinks. There, I said it.

I would LOVE to see the Pack pull out a win against the Cowboys but I still have these lingering doubts.

And then I have to deal with "the jerk at work" whose nickname is "Dallas" and is the Cowboys biggest fan-boy.

Just like I have to deal with all the gloating Cubs fans today. :poop:

I think we're good enough up front to sell out against the run and Dak is limited enough that as long as King and ALexander are our top guys out there we'll be tight enough back there to keep the game in check.

I'd say the game favors Dallas at home, but the offense has been improving each week. Dallas has a good defense, really good linebackers. Even though Adams is out or likely out, get used to a heavy dose of the passing game again. If Williams can't go, I'm not nearly as impressed with the kid from ND that hasn't been activated yet as some, and think it would be a mistake to put him on the field over Jones or Vitale if we can at all avoid it. But light at RB against Dallas isn't where you want to pound Jones either. I see 40+ passes again this week from Rodgers.

It's a big concern if Adams can't go. There's also the possibility of no King or Bulaga, and Bak isn't 100%.
that said the other wide receivers and tight ends are going to need to up their games. I feel like the majority of the weight is going to fall on the defense again this week. Let's hope they're up to it.

Bulaga practiced today
Still, better have somebody to replace him. Now or later. I prefer now. I would actually start giving people some snaps during the game to see what we really have. I mean...I doubt he will be there all year long. Let him take a few breathers. He needs em.

This game could tell me a lot. It will shape my expectations and how i feel about this team. If we lose, that is fine. BUT if we lose in a way like we did to the eagles where we look weak. Then I have issues. If we get man handled and "beat up" then I will take any win going forward as gravy.

We lost by 7 points in a game where they lost the TO battle by 2 and had a chance to tie it at the end. Not sure how much "stronger" a loss can get..... Honestly just say you think if the Packers lose the season is over

What are they gloating about? That their team choked big time, spent almost $100M more on its players than the Brewers did and they still finished behind the Brewers, didn't win the division or make the playoffs? I welcome those kind of gloaters! :D

For all of the concerns offensively, they really did some great things in that game, albeit against a sub par secondary. A couple of turnovers derailed drives, a PI noncall on MVS up the sideline. What was there like 2 punts the whole game?

This offense is going to get things figured out and when they do, I think it could be pretty challenging to stop. But the silly mistakes have to be eliminated, and we have to take care of the football, and execute in the red zone.

They aren’t far off.

We lost to a team ravaged by injuries, barely scrapped by a abysmal Redskins team, was fighting for life vs Lions and low on confidence. We were playing catch-up all game and still fell short.

The Eagles were far more comfortable than the scorelines indicate.

The Eagles were a desperate football team that gave us their absolute best shot in a must win game for them. Save for a few mistakes, we win the game.

Doesn’t change anything obviously, but the Eagles are a damn good football team. Way better than their record indicates. They will be playing football in January.

Also, not sure if you’ve noticed, but the Lions are undefeated and pushed the Chiefs to the limit.

.

Packers lead in the 1st half

Down 1 point at half time

Tie game going into the 4th

Never trail by more then a single score

Lost by one score with a chance to tie.

Saying the Eagles were more comfortable then the score says is projecting at its finest

We lost a tight game to a desperate team. Either deal rationally with it or simply own up to the point that no matter how they lost it was going to be like something out of chicken little.

Yes. We also turned over the ball on downs to add to that.
1 on downs at the Eagles 1 yard line
1 Fumble at the Eagles 34 (edit: at the 17, thnx DNA)
1 INT in the Eagles End Zone

I never like to complain because many things can go differently throughout a game. But these are facts.. not the typical hyperbole that we played a bottom cellar team like a few posters are insinuating. The Eagles and Packers were both rated top 10 on many power rankings going in to this season and both continue to make top 10 rankings today.

The Eagles played a very good game. But make no mistake it was an upset at Lambeau against a very good coached team in Doug Pederson.

Wasn't Rodgers fumble inside our own 20?
I don’t remember exactly, but yes the Eagles had a very short field which resulted in a TD because of it. The two special teams blunders gave them short drives which they were able to capitalize on as well.

These aren’t excuses because at the end of the day, you still have to hold yourself accountable and execute better, but three mistakes made it easier for the Eagles to score 21, and another kept the Packers from scoring 7.

Those things will get cleaned up moving forward. The encouraging thing is that the Packers actually had a shot to win despite those mistakes.

Actually you’re right, my bad.
They also started at our 34 yard line on a Crosby's Kick return.

The Rodgers fumble was at the 22 and they returned it a few yards starting at our 17. Nice.

So our Defense had to start with the Eagles in GB territory twice
1 at the 34 KR
1 at the 17 Rodgers sack fumble.

Plus 2 final Packer drives thwarted inside the Eagles 3 for ZERO points.

In conclusion, we had several opportunities to put that game away. Hopefully we’ll finish a little better in Dallas this weekend.

Another gut wrencher about the Rogers fumble is that when he was hit and winding up to throw it was because he had seen MVS break free downfield.
Instead of a 79 yard touchdown for us it's Eagles ball at our 17.

Packers defense will have to force a lot of turnovers to stay in the game. With Adams out , I have very little confidence in the offense with the o line playing surprisingly bad this season. With the Cowboys tacles out or hurting, Z and Preston will need to dial up some strip sacks.

You may very well be right with your feelings. There is still a lot of football left to play. Lets see you bring that same energy 4 games from now and then we can talk
